The clone swung down a second time. Quen swung his legs up and grabbed the sword with his feet. He saw the other clone swing low in an arch at him. Quen pushed up the sword and rolled back, kicking the clone out of his way. His feet rolled around and landed squarely on the ground. His torso was still bent foward. He pushed up with his legs into a summersault and brought his leg down on the attacking clone in an axe kick. Simultaneously, he looped his tied hands under his feet and brought them behind his back to catch himself. He landed on his hands, but the angle was wrong. He bent his wrist at a painful angle. Had to keep going. He leaned back and pushed with his hands, springing to his feet. (2/15).

Quen was proud of how far he'd gotten so far. He figured at this rate, he'd have no problem mastering this style. He performed a hand sign and made 4 more clones. (NOTE: This means he should have 22 Accademy level jutsu remaining.) The first attacked from behind. Quen launched his left foot backward into its stomach. Instead of rebalancing himself, he sprung off his right foot to bring his left foot back arround to the ground. On his way down, he axe kicked the clone that was in front of him. Two down. (4/15)

There was a swirl of wind, and two figures appeared near the Clone of Ronnel that was standing near one edge of the field. One was another clone of Ronnel, and the second was a young boy. The clone guided the boy to the first clone to be there, then saluted and explained that he was here for basic training. The Kage Bunshin nodded and studied the boy as its counterpart unravelled into gusts of wind.
"Alright lad, what is it that you know?"

"Maa maa, that ain't a reason ta be ashamed. A lot of people never even learn that one. Alright then, so we've gotta get ya past the basic stage. Shouldn't be too hard then." The clone rolled its shoulders and studied the boy intensely for a moment before breaking out into a grin.
"Well then, I'll get the more useless one out of the way." The copy of Ronnel pushed its fingers together into a series of seals, and then suddenly vanished. Well, that isn't quite the correct word. The clone changed - into a picture perfect copy of the boy.
"Henge. Basic illusory technique, utilized for infiltration and distraction. Doesn't work to well at your level for anything beyond image, but as you can tell, at higher levels that same illusion can also apply to other things as well." When the clone shifted to the shape of the boy, its voice also changed into an intonation copy of what it had heard from the boy so far.
"Now then, you try. This technique can be used to copy not only people, but things and animals. I suggest trying for something that is similar to your size and shape for right now, doing more is more straining on your mind."

The clone clapped its hands as its features melted back into those of Ronnel.
"Good lad, good! Now, with more practice you'll also be able to get rid of that tell-tale cloud of smoke. I don't know if you have that same thing appear with your clones, but it's likely that you do. As you work on your techniques and your chakra control, the evidence of your jutsu becomes much less noticeable. Now then, this is one of my favorite techniques, because with it you can escape so many of the powerful 'death hits' that ninjutsuists favor, as well as genjutsu techniques that are aimed for you and of course and kind of physical attack." The clone leaned forward and smashed one fist into the ground, causing a human-size chunk of stone to pop out. It rested one palm on the stone and grinned at the boy again.
"Ka-wa-ri-mi." It drew out the syllables as it picked up the stone and threw it above the boy. There was a shimmer in the air around the clone before suddenly the stone was where the copy of Ronnel had been standing.
"The escape technique! This is a shinobi's most useful tool in combat. Set it up right, and even as a beginner this is an immensely useful aid." There was a soft sound behind the boy, the clone landing. It moved up beside him and moved his hands through the seals for the technique.
"Once again, it's easiest to pick something close to your own size. You'll see many shinobi switching out with logs, but I prefer using whatever I've most recently attacked with."

The clone chuckled and rubbed the back of its head.
"This is where the old ways, my own, and the new ways, what the others go through, clash. In my day, you were given a test to see if you were truly ready for the title of Gennin, but now it seems that as soon as you learn those three techniques you are considered as such. So, I have a proposition for you, if you care to hear it." The clone's gaze was steady as it watched the boy.

"Alright, option the first: You take the title of Gennin right now, as you are." One finger ticked up into the air from the clone's right fist. "Option the second: You try do dispell me and take this hitai-ate and scroll. On this scroll is a technique that will come in handy for a beginning shinobi. I will not hold a grudge against you, whichever path you take."
