Victoria looked at Che and smirked. "It was alright, that girl's mind though...as powerful as it is, it's fragile" she told him honestly. "She's traumatized on several levels and not to mention multiple personalities....she's just waiting to crack" she told him. "And it's quite simple. In any heralds case they can possess someone. It's just none of these kids know it" she said referring to the younger heralds. "You have to find a nexus being, a nexus being is a special kind of OWL that can house an outside powersource" she said. "Secondly they have to be receptive, most people are near death or in the process of dying and thirdly, the host has to be strong in the ability that you have in common with them" she said. "True I have housed myself in other beings other than psychics but they have died in the process" she said. "So that son of yours, if he finds a light user who isn't a herald, and is a nexus owl...then he can do the trick as well" she said revealing how her and Body were able to do that. "Me and Body were the only ones who knew how to do this" she added.

Looking over Elle, one could say Jaylin was flirting with her and though he was to an extent he would never admit it, at least not now he wouldn't he hardly knew the woman though they were learning about one another and he wished to learn more about the woman. When Elle put her neutralizer up and pulled out a ring he looked at it trying to figure out what it was for, he thought it was a mere accessory but when she told him it was not for the battle field he knew it was a device of hers. "Well if you don't mind me asking what does it do or what is its purpose rather?" He asked the woman as he took the ring from her hand slowly, he looked at the ring as his visor analyzed it giving him the material it was made from. "But you really didn't have to give me anything I haven't had a chance to return the favor." He explained as he began to fix himself to put it on as he listened for an answer.

Elle looked at him and smiled when he said he didn't get her anything. "It was something that I first made a while ago. What it does, it will take your energy that you naturally emit alongside your genetic code to play a holographic story" she said to him blatantly. "I don't know how I came up with the concept....I just think I just came up with something" she said to him. "Go ahead and slide it on, I'm curious to see what the ring projects from you" she said. She pushed her teal hair out of her face as she awaited the actions of Jaylin. She had to admit he did fascinate her though.

"Oh....I umm..." Roulin found himself having a severe case of cottonmouth after Cecilia explained the general reason she left her last boyfriend. It wasn't his place to know, nor was it his place to even care. He was the leader of the group and once one of the showed some kind of weakness, he was taught that they should be released. The girl was only human though and this was the first time she'd ever showed genuine sadness, remorse or regret.
He tried to turn away from her, but the remnants of his old power, the ability to feel others emotions, wouldn't allow him to rid her from his mind. The sadness radiating from got through to his core and he once again set his dark violet eyes on her. "Cecilia..." Roulin almost voicelessly spoke out to her. Slowly, the saddened Owl placed his arm over his assistant's shoulder and pulled her into a one-armed hug. "We'll get over our problems someday, but until then, we have each other and people we can easily call family. Let's both stop moaping huh?" He wasn't sure if she'd snap at him for such a gesture, or just laugh, but either way, he could feel from her she needed some emotional support as much as he did.

Che was completely in tune with what Victoria had spoken, but the only thing it all meant to him was a severely prolonged path to inevitable death. That was probably all that little skill was good for. "Well, as one-tracked as it all sounds, it did do a good job of hiding both you and Body from your brothers and sisters for so long. I applaud your record breaking hide and go seek streak. I think Body is beating you now though." Che stood up from his seat and like a worried man, paced the area between Kate and Mind. "If you'd be so kindest as to tell me, what is friction between you and Body all about?"

Victoria listened to Che and rolled her eyes. "Be grateful for what you are" she told him. "When we were younger me and Body were very close, we knew each other before we were heralds, but we always thought that our perspective mutation was the better of the two. The mind is a thing that time can't even touch. Many things the mind is capble of, while Body believed that it's abilities mainly magics is what made it the better one. Well like I told you every person I've inhabited I took a little of them, so did Body, though he was never wise picking his vessles. He's become tainted....darkened in a sense" she told him.

Before Cecilia had time to speak again, she felt Roulin's arm wrap around her in a comforting. She could not deny that she was surprised by the gesture. Instead of pushing him away, she welcomed the embrace and even went as far as to return the embrace with her own. She felt comforted by this small gesture and part of her did not want to pull away, but she knew that if she held on for too long, he might think some of the wrong things. Slowly, and reluctantly, she pulled away and managed a small smile. "I'll try to stop moping," she promised. "Thanks for letting me be part of your group and taking part in this mission," she said in a lighter, happier tone of voice. "I'll try not to let my emotions get the better of me in the future." She didn't promise for she didn't know what would happen in the future

"Oh trust me. I'm very thankful for what I am. People used to pray to me during my heydays." Che said with a fleece of his coat. "But yeah, thanks for the information. I've never met him and if you're right, I don't want to anymore. I'm tired of meeting people who want only to kill stuff...I feel like a damn magnet sometimes." Che pivoted and began towards the garage like door once again. Still no sign of an altercation on it's way. Good. No need for a fight. Not at the moment anyway. "Well, that's pretty much all I had on my mind Vicky. Is there anything else you want to know from me? I think i've told you all my secrets in the past."

Roulin wasn't too suprised when Cecilia hugged him back, but his prediction was still met with an unpredicted reddening of his cheeks. He patted her shoulder assuring, then retracted his arm as she gradually separated from him. "I think that from when I first saw you, I knew you'd be in the group. Maybe in a past life, we were teammates and you were its leader." Roulin jeered. "It's alright. Just as long as your emotions don't cause you to fight like you did against Nikolai. Whenever we get a more spacious place to spend time in, I'll show you some moves." added the teen with a wide grin.

Cecilia lifted her arms towards the ceiling and stretched out her stiff muscles. Sitting in one place for too long was beginning to take its toll on her, but in reality, she didn't mind. At least she was enjoying Roulin's company despite the fact that she had been an emotional wreck. When he mentioned her fight with Nikolai, she scowled once again. "I thought I did quite well for someone who isn't very skilled in hand to hand combat," she said, huffily folding her arms across her chest. Just because she had made a complete fool of herself did not give him any right to make fun of her. It was clear that she was slightly miffed at him right now. "And don't worry. I won't let my emotions get in the way while we're in New York nor in any future missions we might take part in. Besides, I think I did pretty well in the ranged and weapons session of the sparring match." Cecilia liked Roulin, but he could be so infuriating at times.

Roulin rested his head against the airplane's window and grinned off into the night. As Cecilia went on, he simply kept all his chuckles in the form of coughs or hiccups and because of this, as time passed the condensation against the window grew denser and denser. "Yeah, I saw that. I was really impressed up until you did what you did to Nikolai. He's downstairs still healing if you want to apologize or something." Roulin had to admit, Cecilia was good with her powers and that perfectly complemented his preferrence of close quarters combat. From past fights with others, it should be apparent now that enclosed fighting was his strong point. As for the weapons, he and Andy never did that. "Oh...crap. I apologize for skipping that part and missing you go with it. The next time you're in a fight, you your chain whip. I've yet to see it in action."

Cecilia rolled her eyes. It was not as if she had meant to knock him unconscious. She hadn't even been trying to at the time. All she was trying to do was land a hit on him. Yet, she knew that Roulin was right. She should go apologize to him soon. "All right, all right. I'll go apologize to him soon," she said in a flustered tone of voice. "I should probably inform him that I didn't mean to knock him unconscious, which I didn't. You see, in a way, my emotions fuel my powers and give it a bit of a boost. But sometimes it could mean trouble for the person on the receiving end. So that's why I promised to try and keep my emotions in check as much as possible." Her lips curled into a smirk when Roulin mentioned her chain whip. "Oh, don't worry. I plan on using it quite a bit. It might come in handy in New York." She ran her finger across the blade of her chain whip, which was wrapped around her waist as usual.

Kate had her back turned to both Che and Victoria. Though she had scowled slightly at the nickname Che had given her. "I'm so glad you find me to be so 'amusing' to you, Che..." she muttered under her breath to herself. She then listened as Che and Victoria began chatting about 'old' times, some kind of debt that Dante had with Victoria, and other trivial things. She rolled her eyes at some of the things that Victoria said because they were so obviously flirtatious that they were disgusting. She would have spoken up to say that their flirting was what she thought it was: disgusting, but decided to rub that element in Victoria's face later when she had the time.
As their conversation turned to what they would be doing after this whole 'war' thing was over, Kate did not intentionally listen in until Che mentioned that he would be 'helping her to not be so emo and show her the joys of life and not the hassles of work'. Kate let out a "Tsch!" of scorn at that idea to let them know what a stupid idea she thought that it was. What Victoria said in reply to Che was something Kate could actually agree with her about. All the Heralds and the Great Four had overstayed their welcome on this world since receiving their titles, and Kate wasn't going to let it go on for too long after this whole 'war' business was over.
Vicky and her friend the Herald of Body weren't the only ones that knew how to possess someone. Kate could do this as well if she wanted to while in her insubstantial state. Kate had no desire to learn the history between icky-Vicky and this Herald of Body, so she turned out most of that part of the conversation so it was only like white noise to her. ==== Solaris Beauty Aeon looked at Anya and smiled. "Oh...well I'm glad to see that you're no longer with them" she said with a half smile. She really didn't know how to respond to that. She could tell that the woman didn't want to talk so she wouldn't bother her. She grabbed a book and began to open it and surf the contents of it. She was just happy after all of these years she now had her sister back.

Dragon-Talk "Aww... Poor Nicky... He got hit on the head..." Happiness had been following Nik around this entire training session. Even watching his sparring match between him and Cecilia. Even though it hadn't really gone all that well... But Happiness had managed to soften the blow Nik took when Cecilia knocked him down and out, by using Nik's shadow to act as a sort of cushion. But it hadn't quite been fast enough, and Nik still lost consciousness.

Happiness smiled widely when Nikolai thanked her. "My pleasure! I'm here to help." she replied cheerfully. She waved at him from his shadow as he shaped it to conform to her figure. She stood and looked down at Nik as his foot tapped silently to the beat of the music playing softly from his headphones.
However, she definitely noticed Nikolai's change in demeanor. Happiness suddenly became like a soldier, giving him a tiny salute like she had a while back. Then, she stood there and thought about his question for a bit. "Um... Why was I here again...?" she thought aloud. Her face screwed up rather cutely as she tried to think. After a second or two, Happiness hung her head down looking at her feet. It was as if she had done something bad. Then, just as suddenly, Happiness looked back up at Nikolai with her usual smile. "I don't remember why she sent me, but yes. Big Sis asked me to find someone like her."

L sighed turning over on his side on his couch. "Your quite loud you know...such a pain. Though... I must admit amusing. If we are to attack tomorrow would it not be best to get some rest? If worse comes to worse and Tim shows up I'll keep him busy. Been to long since I've seen brother anyway. " The light man sat up, rubbing his eyes some as he removed the glasses. "And Victoria...I have but one question for you, though that can wait till later. As for you Kate..." L looked over the girl through half lidded glowing eyes. "You are rather depressing you know? Could at least attempt a smile sometime hmmm?" Gaeta pulled at his own face stretching it into a smile.
(bah sorry computer got a virus thus iPhone is substituting. It's a poor substitute)

Nikolai smiled lightly at Happiness's responses, then said, "Well, while it would be nice to know why you were sent to find me, it's not terribly important that I know right now, so maybe it'll come to you." Nikolai thought for a moment, still laying back on the crate and tapping his foot. After a few moments, he turned his head towards Happiness and asked, "Well, if your Big Sis asked you to find someone, wouldn't it normally be to bring them back to her, so she could speak to them? Maybe she wanted you to bring me to her? Maybe she needs help with something that only someone like me can do?" Nik wasn't trying to badger Happiness into remembering, he was just trying to coax something out of her head. He paused a moment then asked one last question, "Do you know where your Big Sis is? Maybe if you can tell me where she is, once we finish this, we can go see her?" Nik smiled faintly, he was happy to at least have someone to talk to who wouldn't be rubbing the fact that he got his a** kicked in his face.
