I think Maine is one of the only states where you can get two feet of snow, and then still have school...

it was cold in the morning, than very hot in the afternoon, and it's getting cold again ;T

Nope. Western New York does that, too. Really, the only time that school was closed was for incredibly low visibility, or incredibly icy rodes (driving bans). There were a few times when the snow was thick enough to cancel, but we rarely did.
...I got to school one day only to have to go home again. I took gym in the morning before school started (It was ******** awesome, haha), and we got there... and we're like... uhhh where's the teacher? Some office lady comes in and is like, school's closed! Word. cool
