I'm sure thats just what you tell yourself. I have no idea why you would rather plan and strive to have children than go to college. That way you could have provided a better life for your children. Here in the states if you strive to have children over education and a real life with a real career (as in not working as a waitress or at the gap all your life) we call that white trash.

well, over here it's different. It's alot easier to afford a house and stuff on one person's wages. (if they have a good job, which my boyfriend does) I am not white trash. My children are well provided for. And by the way, I just finished a medical course...so that means I do something proper...so yeah, blah

PinkSpider I am 19 and I have two little boys. Locklyn (2) And Justin (3 months) They were both planned and I am doing great with my life. I live in my own house, my boyfriend works and we are all just fine. We CAN manage. My life was NOT wasted They're so cute <3 Eri: Some people would rather have children and stay at home than work, it doesn't make them trash.

Agreed but it depends on the situation. Age has alot to do with it and if they went to school to get a real job or not. If someone is that young, not married and has kids how are they going to live properly if they break up? Kids before getting married is just...a bad idea. The goal is to find someone you love, seal the deal to where you're bound together and then have children. He can just leave her any day he wants and get away with not paying child support (that happens alot) because they arent married.
That just makes life that much more difficult.
If youre going to say "he loves me and he would never do that", you should talk about getting married to make sure everything works out well. Kids and not having been married is not a good idea for children or the girl.

Same thing happened to my mom. You should have waited, but no turning back the time. You could ask a family member to help out like once a week or something so you can finish up school. When they get to like 8 or 10 you should be able to go to collage and then get a good job. Just make sure you have a guy to help you and the kids, one that wont just up a leave.

It's not like I've just given up on career all together. I just rather kids first. I do have a good guy. A great guy actually. I know he's not going anywhere ^_^

Well that's you and your parents. It's not my fault. Maybe they should have looked after you better than. You don't even know me, so back off yeah? I'm just trying to join in with the conversation topic, not trying to argue and cause s**t. I don't know why you're all attacking. You just can't accept that someone can actually be happy.

Most of teh girls in my school have kids or are about to have them, as well as a lot of them happen to be my close friends. I have yet to meet one that regrets having their child, maybe that's just me?
