Dethan, City of Perpetual Darkness

Kir could not fire anymore arrows. He didn't know any magic except that, and he was already exhausted. Still, he landed on the ground again and gave chase, not sure what he would do once he caught up.

"Kir," Lily called again, catching up to the angel. "Look, you're only putting yourself in danger by pursuing this creature. If you're really concerned, let me take care of it." As she talked she pulled out an arrow and nocked it again.

Durrahn looked back to see the girl ready another of her projectiles. Wishing not to feel the pain of the enchanted weaponry again, he quickly turned a corner, only to notice with dismay that it was an alleyway. He began to exit it, hoping that the two would not cut him off.

Kir continued to give chase. He couldn't leave such an evil creature alone unchecked. He was certain that this is what an Angel would do, and also what his sister would do. He had no weapons and nothing left to attack with, but still he chased.
Spreading his black wings out, he took to the air to try and catch up with him faster.

Durrahn slipped out of the alley and noticed that the angel had almost caught up with him. He looked for shadows to slink into, but could not find any deep enough. So the creature just kept running until he noticed the angel had no bow out. He skidded to a stop, black tongue slipping along his lips at the thought of angel for dessert.

Kir suddenly came to a stop. He had realized his mistake. He shouldn't have gone against something of this caliber with no weapon. Yet, he couldn't leave it as it was.
He raised his fists and tried to look fearsome. Having a frail, almost feminine, figure didn't help.

Durrahn hissed at this sudden resolute display. But he only hesitated a second. The tentacles on his back receded and then burst from his chest reaching for the angel. His claws were prepared for when the appendages pulled the man back.

Lily ran even faster, faster than any human possibly could, and ran squarely into the shadow creature, knocking him to the ground. When they came to a stop, she braced a foot against where she thought its throat would be, at the same time drawing her bow aiming it at the creature's head. "If you value your life, I wouldn't move," she told it as if she was stating something that was obivious.

"...!" Kir raised his hands to defend himself against the attack, but it never came. When he looked back he saw Lily on the creature's throat.
His wings folded back and he walked closer, keeping a careful eye on the creature as he did so.

Durrahn felt rage, but rage that could not be taken out on anyone. And then he spotted the angel. While his appendages had never reached the man, the creature had some insight into the angel's mind. "Kir... cursed? Sister... gone?" he croaked out. It was of no fault tothe vampire crushing his throat- the creature didn't require breathing- he was simply speaking word that he had only sen in the angel's thoughts, and only understood them due to this.

Kir looked shocked. He took a small step back.
How in the world does he know about that? Kir thought to himself.

Lily felt both the creature's anger and Kir's surprise. She just held still, keeping her bow drawn and listened to see if she could learn anything interestig.

"No speak... die.....if speak..other die... you die...no one live..." He continued, his rage dying down at seeing the surprise on the angel's face. There was no smile on his face, simply curiosity.

"..." Even though the creature spoke with broken words, Kir could not protest or correct him. It was true that he had a cursed voice, which would kill all those he spoke to. It was also true that there was a seal on his throat that would kill him if he spoke again.
It was all true, so he couldn't deny it. He looked away harshly with a sad expression.
