It's not offensive... God doesn't give prejudice to anyone... So how can the bible be offensive? I mean the bible is God's gospel, the good news. It's there to tell people about the good news and even God's words shouldn't be used as weapons but as a shield, armour from sinful desires. People who read the bible and are offended by it are merely skimming through and no looking at the deeper meaning of it all.

Romans 10:9-10
