Totally seconds that opinion Kits, Yami no Matsuei is extremely SSA.

And don't feel so bad Nightfure, my list of things I haven't gotten around to is probably way longer than yours - and it includes Avatar, for which I'm epically trapped in a state of great fail ~_~.

I dunno Nightfure, I think my hole might be deeper than yours. And heck I have two holes, a classical hole and what will call a fun hole (though I do rather love the stuff in the classical - which will refer both to English lit and ancient civilization individually - one as well).

Concentrating on the fun hole, what I know I've got:

- Avatar
- Gravitation (last half of the last volume of the manga and the OVA - finished the anime)
- Naruto
- Vampire Knight (manga, we'll see if I ever want to watch the anime)
- Ouran Host Club (manga)
- Okane ga Nai
- Kuroshitsuji
- Final season of Ranma 1/2 (anime, a few episodes in I think)
- Inuyasha
- YYH (entire manga series save for volume 1, maybe what I haven't seen of the anime as well - this will probably entail just rewatching the whole thing all over again)
- Howls (oh this is going to give me huge fail status too huh? Haven't seen the movie, own and have yet to read the book - bought it because the author wrote one of my all time favorite series - Dalemark Quartet)

True not all of that is "complete," but if it made the list I haven't even been following very well (or at least not recently) to where it's left off (like the Loveless manga also isn't complete, but I've diligently read each volume as I've acquired it so that does not make the list). I also know there is more but I'm tired so I'm sure I'm blanking some things for now.

Anyhow ok Kits, we will try - or at least I will try - NIGHTFURE TRY TOO!! GA is too far so I can't make you sooooooooooo I'll just suggest that you should and do absolutely nothing one way or the other in regards to what you choose...^_^.

Wow, that is a lot. ^^ I'm sure I have just as much, or possibly more, to catch up on, but I'm really too lazy to list it all, and honestly, I haven't the time to catch up on stuff right now anyway.
I vote Avatar should come first though. =D
As for Howl's Moving Castle, it was actually just an okay movie. Wasn't one of Miyazaki's best, but was still enjoyable. I've heard the book is actually way better though.

Well as Diana Wynne Jones is one of my favorite authors the book is above the movie on my list - now it might not go down like that because reading takes longer than watching, but I have no plan to go see out the film before reading the book. I have 2 and a half more books to get through before I pick it up, though by then the 4th and final volume of my favorite erotica series (Partnership in Blood - it has vampires, and wizards and yaoi smexiness - it also has some het and a tiny bit of yuri, way to be a fair player Tachna ^_^) will probably have come out so it'll trump Howls as well I'm afraid. Though as I read the last book in 2 days (and that was with purposely attempting to stretch it out because I didn't want it to end too soon) I doubt that'll be much of a delay.

Avatar will probably come during the mid-season break between my TV shows, I will hopefully be done with apps by then (in theory my aim is to be done by Friday, but it'll depend on if my letters are done by Wed, if not I won't be finishing until Monday at the earliest).

Oh, JK, I do think my hole's bigger... (in comparision to the fun one, at least wink )

My Hole:
• Yami no Matsuei
• One Peice (Reading: Minus first five books)
• Vampire Knight (Reading: Minus first two books)
• Chobits
• Chibi Vampire (Reading: Minus first four books)
• Tsubasa: CLAMP (Reading: Minus first book)
• Re-reading Loveless (Because I forgot... everything ;-; )
• Reading all the Harry Potter books
• Accumulating/reading the rest of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter
• Reading all the other books that I've bought that have been sitting around for years (Redwall, etc)
• Ouran High School Host Club (Reading: Minus first two books)
• Gravitation (Reading: Have seen the anime)
• Aoi House (Manga)
• W Juilet (Reading: minus first four books)
• All of Miyazaki's movies (Minus Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke)
• Shaman King (Anime: have read all the manga)
• Yuugiou (Anime: Especially Season 5)
• Other things my friends are demanding I read/watch that I can't remember right now -.-;

Soooooo.... Yeah sweatdrop Yay for long list?

Haha...yay indeed, but ok I didn't realize we were playing the "rereading/rewatching" game. I mean I did say my list was incomplete, but that was without even taking into consideration things like gotta reread HP, Everworld, Dalemark and a few other things (just finished rereading The Mediator series).

Few of what I left off

- Chrono Crusade (anime)
- Code Geass
- Godchild
- 2nd FMA series anime
- this anime my friend sent me (totally blanking the title)
- Saiyuki

Mmm...I probably should be productive not making lists of the things I haven't the time to read/watch because I'm not productive enough hehehe redface xd

But yea, my classics hole is probably bigger - and it's fun - but it's hard to convince most people that translating the Greek New Testament counts as entertainment, or that Aristophanes comedies, Hesiod's Works and Days, Ovid's Metamorphoses (not to be confused with Kafka's Metamorphosis - which I despise), Aeschylus's tragedies are "fun things" to read. Oh and the Epic of Gilgamesh, and Heart of Darkness, and finishing Le Morte D'Arthur, and Dumas' The Three Musketeers. Ah and Capellanus' The Art of Courtly Love. Oh crap I'm listing again! *vanishes*

@JK: Wow, that erotica series sounds awesome. o.o I'll need to check it out. Is it able to be found in regular bookstores?
And Godchild is amazing, but have you read the original Cain Saga as well?
Heehee, I remember reading Kafka's Metamorphosis. It was... interesting. XD
Most of my stuff I have to catch up on is anime and video games. I have a pile of DVDs to watch, and half the games I own to beat still; books I seem to get through a lot quicker for some reason, and I'm running out of things to read, so I'll definitely look for Partnership in Blood.

I bought volume 1 at Yaoi-con last year, but I got volumes 2 and 3 (and will get 4) through Barnes and Noble - it's not on the shelf (annoying, but I GUESS I get why). However it cannot be found through Borders, very annoying since I prefer Borders, but it's ok, I have a $25 B&N giftcard from my bday just waiting for this book. It can also be found in ebook (or whatever it's called, my memory has inserted the term ebook) form as well. Dreamspinnerpress.com (I love this site btw, though they did redo it recently which kinda annoys me, I hate change - having to learn to navigate all over again) has info and OMG! Sorry went to the site to find you the page, the book is out Oct 30th rather than Nov (omg, I might be able to find it at Y-con?!) and there is STILL no excerpt but that's ok because those always just drive me nuts.

Ok crazy rant ended, so yea, Ariel: http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/store/index.php?cPath=55_150

And has links to purchasing either ebooks or paperbacks if you are interested.

Anyhow I love the series because while it's smuttastic I also really love the plot and storyline. It's like the best of both worlds. Of course the main pair are not my favorite characters, I like them but I like Jean and Raymond (LOVE Raymond) more so I always feel like I don't get enough. Ok I'll shut up now, but yea I recommend it, let me know what you think if you do read it, I don't know anyone else who has.

I have not read Cain Saga, I read volume 1 of Godchild in the book room at my first Y-con. Just like Fake, but I didn't have the same unexplainable compulsion to read and possess Godchild entirely like I did Fake. Just kinda put it on the back burner to maybe check out more seriously one day. I suppose Cain Saga has to go on the list too huh? Hehe.

Metamorphosis pissed me off, s'all I'm saying.

And yea, I never finished most of my games either, but I don't plan on doing so, they don't make the list.

So you mean you can buy them at Barnes and Noble, but you have to ask for someone who works there to bring it out? Or do you have to order them online? Yay, awesome link is awesome!
I tend to prefer paper books over electronic books, and I have no money right now, so it may take me a while to get ahold of the series. ^^
But good plot mixed with smut is always win.
Cain Saga is the earlier novels before Godchild, but for some reason in America they released Godchild first. But yeah, same characters, but they're considered different series; it's like doing a big time skip between seasons, but the author did it where they thought they would end it with Cain Saga, so ended the series, then restarted it with a renewed series that is like a sequel, Godchild. Cain Saga was more disturbing and gruesome, in my opinion, but Godchild had a better and easier-to-follow plot. I love both of them though. ^^

You can order it online or in the store. In the store what you do is tell them what you want at customer service. They print out a paper with a barcode, you take the barcode to the register and they scan it. Then they mail it to you. All and all it's rather a ridiculous process, so you might as well just do it online. I go into the shop because I like to browse, and prefer to pay cash for almost everything - paranoid family means paranoid about credit period, but especially paranoid about using credit cards online.

I definitely prefer paper books, but not everyone does so I don't want to not suggest it and have someone buy the series and then complain how they could have saved so much money. Like those little electronic things that you can put tons and tons of books into, I would not want that. I mean I'll read manga scans and stuff online because I can't afford to buy as much as I'd want to read nor can I find most series in a library (and I hate reading stuff in bookstores because it bugs me when I'm buying stuff "new" that's obviously been used and abused on the shelves). However if I am buying I'm going for the actual book.

Mkay, whenever I get around to Godchild, which probably won't be anytime soon, I'll check out Cain Saga as well. Maybe read that first, any particular recommendation on order if I do decide to read both? Doesn't really matter or I should definitely check out Cain first or *insert other alternatives here*?
