When Barth spoke to her, Colette looked over at him with a frown. Any sadness her demeanor portrayed was unknown to her and she assumed that her spell was actually bad enough to earn pity forthright, which just made her feel embarrassed.

Colette made sure her swords were secured against her back and grabbed her textbook, murmuring, "Thanks," to Barth before standing to leave.

With a sigh, Audley posted the notice for her next class session. Hugo chirped cheerfully from her lapel and she smiled down at him.

"I know, Hugo. I only wish that my classes didn't have to involve students sometimes. They are so very tedious." With that, she turned and strolled back into her classroom.

Magic, which gave you more relative bang for your buck, was something Barth was very interested in. Recite some poetry, avoid doing the dishes yourself. There was always the possibility of horrific consequences, but Barth couldn't think of anything more horrific than work. Right now he only had the Curses textbook. It had become one of his favorite reading materials. The last class hadn't involved walking, nearly dying, or essays. Just about five words of spellcasting. It, in turn, had been one of his favorite class sessions.

All in all, this was a credit class he didn't mind taking. Barth was definitely attending the next class session.

Magic was Mot's thing, and there was no way he was gonna miss an important class like this. With a hop in his step, the tall Reaper made his way to the classroom, sliding in with confidence and taking a seat near the door, since it was closest.

What a lovely day for hexes!

The last Curses, Hexes and Spells class had been rather fun, and the book that she had received - for Spells - was a good read, even if she didn't understand half the content. Sure, she might be a Demon, but she had little to no exposure to magic until she enrolled into the school... Besides, a small part of her felt... The need to bury herself in work; the more work she has, the lesser time she'll spend thinking.

Hurrying to class, she checked the time on her phone, heaving a sigh of relieved that she had shown up on time; the book from the previous class was tucked in her backpack and her hair tied up into a ponytail.

It was her 'serious business' hairstyle.

Walking in, she paused at the door, taking a look around; the first person she saw was a familiar (and welcoming) sight. She smiled, making a beeline for him. Grabbing the seat beside his, she removed her backpack and placed it on the table before turning to face the reaper, "Hey Mot!"

Astra was very exited to be going to this class. Verye xcited indeed. Spells and hexes, if learned correctly, could be very powerful indeed, and would surely make up for her inability to...well...do anything else. Besides, she was a reaper, so she should be good at this. She hoped that this class would teach her how to preform some spells.

Running into the classroom, she saw Lizzy walk in as well as a tall looking reaper whom she recognized from the fitness meeting. "Hi guys!" she said, talking a seat tha was close to them.

Mot looked toward Lizzy, smiling and nodding his head, leaning back in his chair. "Hey Lizzy! Howdy, little lady." He greeted Astra as well, as she called them out. Not even a minute in this class, and he was surrounded by ghouls. Most excellent.

"How goes things?" He asked them both, figuring it was a general enough question to start a conversation.

If there was one class Sheridan had misgivings about, it was one that focused on magic (or anything that could not be explained with logic for that matter). At one point in the dragon's life, it could have been said that he did not believe in magic. The world was made of science and logic, there was nothing mystical about the universe, nothing that could not be explained with science.

And yet in recent events he had seen things, things that he could not yet explain, things that he sought to find a scientific explanation for. Did he believe in magic now? He wasn't going to go that far, but he did acknowledge that there was something beyond his current understanding. There was something that others called magic, something that could certainly be taken as magic. Whether or not that meant magic was real, or simply defied current scientific knowledge remained to be determined in his eyes.

Either way, there was more he needed to learn, and if he were to ever find the answers, he would have to step out of his comfort zone and attend a class on the matter.

So pushing his reservations aside, Sheridan entered the classroom, and found an empty seat near the back.

Spells were an important part of many reaper's arsenal, Shun believed. While he wasn't too keen about classes in general, this was one he was interested in for sure. It could never hurt to expand in terms of magic, after all. However, he seriously hoped they wouldn't be reading out of old tomes and the like. Too many things would likely go wrong if that were the case.

Making sure he had the right classroom, he strolled on in with his hands shoved into his pockets. Bent-Tail had been left behind as he didn't want the miced tea to accidentally get caught up in some stray spell gone wrong or anything like that. The little rodent would likely be fine in his room for the time being anyway.

He gave a very brief glance at those already inside. Most were unfamiliar to him of course, especially seeing how this was his first class at the academy, but there was one face he wasn't really sure how to feel about. Lizzy. Actually, he kind of hoped she forgot him or something along those lines. So he did not greet her and just moved on, taking a seat towards the back of the room.

Despite the disappointment she experienced last session, Colette was just as eager to take the class as the first time. Not making the favorites and missing out on one of the text books gave her even more of a reason to come back. She wanted to get this perfect. Not doing well was just an immense failure as a Reaper!

With her Spells book in her arms, Colette poked her nose in and was surprised that there weren't as many people yet. She took it as a good thing though and assumed she made it earlier than last time. The ghoul couldn't bear the idea of being late.

The temptation to say 'could be better' was strong, but she grinned at Mot instead, "Same old, same old!" That's not exactly a lie; nothing much had changed since she last saw the Reaper, after all.

"Hey Astra~" She flashed that very same grin at the ghoul before taking a look around. There's that grumpy boil from the other day - Shun - seated away from them, as well as Sheridan. Those were the only students she was remotely familiar with though. She raised a hand in a wave at both of them, extending an invitation for them to join Astra, Mot and herself.

Settling back down in her seat, she couldn't help but realize that there were many reapers in the class. Then again, it's only to be expected, seeing how this is a class requiring the student to have at least a little bit of magic ability in them... In fact, she was pretty surprised that there weren't more Demons around.

Shun would have been content to wait in the back for class to start, but some movement caught his attention. He glanced to see Lizzy waving at him and the dragon nearby to come up. For the most part, he didn't feel like getting up, so he just remained where he was. That aside, he didn't feel any need to move up towards the front of the room where most of the others were so far.

Though, he soon realized something.

The reaper shot a glance to the nearby dragon, wondering for the moment what he was doing here. Monsters weren't exactly known for magical prowess after all. Eh. Whatever. He just shrugged off the thought and leaned back in his chair, waiting.

Peeking his head in, Israfel scooted into the class, wondering just why a siren would need or be able to practice any sorts of magic. Seemed a more reaper based class. The sight of so many non reapers however...Israfel only assumed they would be learning something.

Something magical.

"er, they're going good" Astra replied thinking along similar lines as lizzy did. things were going much better since the field trip, but there were still the few odd things that were annoying. Like paint ball. Soon they would be having their tournament, and she feverishly hoped she could help everyone in winning.

Her eyes soon caught a new face in the room...well, she thought he was new, or perhaps he had been here a while and she hadn't seen him? Regardless, she felt like shrinking in her seat. The guy...looked annoyed. She couldn't fathom why though, but his stern glare was quite intimidating to the small fairy. As he picked a seat in the back row, she did her best to..not look conspicuous as she slid down in her seat.
