So much for that idea. Worried, Jericho tried to think of another idea. He could try to remove her pin, but he didn't think that would work in the nurse's office. Instead, he just looked around before staring at that wound again.

Well..

Carefully, he placed the pill into it. Maybe her body would absorb it that way.

There was something strange about being so alert upon waking, as far as Shehk was concerned, staring up at the ceiling as her head throbbed, reminding her that she was...in some semblance of the word 'alive'. Not that she really felt that way. It was strange.

Chaos ensued around her, the Pricolici looking around the infirmary with a sort of casual turn of her head, not exactly jumping to get up, even at the sound of the Red Dragon's voice calling to Cricket. Something had happened. She wasn't even sure exactly what it was, her nose still burning of that raw, fleshy, and.... well, she wasn't sure how to describe that scent, but it was a unique one, at the very least.

While her nose battled with the scent of human, her muscles battled with the ability to un-stick themselves and start moving again, but even then, it was the twitching of her fingers and this sort of groaning noise as she worked to remobilize herself.

What in the hell had happened?

The pill sat in the hole in Riley's stomach. It was a rather gruesome sight, actually, and one might have to give Jericho credit for putting his hand in an open wound that cut clear through the entire body.

Unfortunately, the only person who could have given him that credit was the one lying before him, and the pill was sinking far too slowly into her body to be ingested.

It wouldn't make it in time.

It wasn't working. Frantically, Jericho looked around, trying to find some other way to do this, but it seemed it wasn't possible without her being conscious. Visibly, he was trembling now. He reached out to take the pill back, shaking as he was trying really hard to not panic. Trying hard to not break down. This was different than when he found her lying in a pool of her own blood. Riley had been hurt badly then, but this was a wound that struck into her FEAR.

"I-I can't get her to t-take it.." he said while looking over towards Cricket. The dragon wasn't speaking as loudly this time.

"You can s-still heal her.. right..?"

The loud, hot headed red dragon was not here right now.

Speakyspeakyyellyspeakyspeaky.

Mortimer managed to turn his head to the center of this new bit of commotion. Huh. Riley, right? What was the problem now?

Hole in her chest?

Oh. Well that was easy.

He raised his detached arm as if feebly trying to poke either the dragon's or the nurse's ankles.

"Needs m-more flesh. F-Fix hole with o-own if like."

Why yes, he was still quite out of it. So, so out of it.

Cricket returned to Jericho when it seemed things weren't happening the way the dragon would have liked, looking at the pill that had been more or less shoved into the whole in the mindflayer, making a face as she pulled it out again, crunching it in before she shoved her hand right back into the mindflayer with the pieces, her expression calm.

She'd seen worse. It was horrible to say, given how grim things looked, but...well... Cricket was at least twice as old as any of the students here, she'd seen things by this point in time that they hadn't. However, even in pulling her hand out, Cricket didn't completely pull them away, instead pressing her palms against the offended place to begin feeding more FEAR into the wound in question, calm as ever.

((Enterinnnn))

Materializing on his own bed, Christof was only dimly aware of the change in surroundings. Despite the draining power of the nets, the swirling fire had rekindled a deep instinctual need to get away, his hands suddenly flailing as he gave a startled yelp, sitting up to leap from his bed before the drained weariness overtook the rush of adrenalin. He fell backward again with an irritated groan, and settled on glancing about his fresh whereabouts as he tried to catch his breath.

Things were still bleary, and his stitches felt weak and heavy, like he was about to fall apart at the seams at any moment. Somehow, he kept himself together. Something had... happened? Where were... what had happened to the figures in red?

More importantly, someone nearby was saying something... Jericho's voice... 'Can still heal her, right?' desperation on the edges...

His brows furrowed as more voices filled in, making it difficult, and he shifted to try to see, but his vision was still swimming, his arm buckling under his weight.

What... what was going on? Where was Mistress? Where was Barth? Calder and Amrita?

Panic was bubbling as he eased himself back down. He wanted to be up, active, helping... he couldn't just sit idly if people were hurt?

But he was so tired.... Hell's Bloody Bells why was he so Candlejackin' tired??

The pill dissipated in Riley's body as Cricket crushed it, and the Fear that had been flowing out of the wound slowly dried up, until it was a black, dry hole. Nothing more left her body, but the body itself remained nicely holed.

Still, it was more than one could say for her before.

Vaith woke up with a groan, his hand reached out to grab anything-- everything. He didn't know what room he was in-- He didn't know if it was safer than the forest.

What if it wasnt?

Vaith's horizontal form jerked forward, half sitting up, crazed as his palms closed and reopened. The door opened with a slam, as Vaith decided, out of his unawakened consciousness, still stuck in the searing burning sensation-- his instincts told him to basically go drown himself in a river.

His body wretched violently, heaving up dry emptiness from his stomach that burned as it forced it's way out of his throat, only bits of saliva coughed into his gloved hand.

His thoughts was a mess that mirrored something close to Sparrow's-- He needed to get out of here. His fingers dipped into his high collar, tugging at the confining cloth as if it was a plagued disease a heat washing over him from the memory, desperate to be somewhere cooler. Was outside cooler? If Ren, Xiu or someone didn't stop him. Vaith really was going to drown himself. Whether it was in a pond or bathtub.

"Gotta get .. somewhere cooler."

((Entering))

Empty nothingness began to part. Soft noises surrounded him, a slight stinging of his skin. Both more intense the longer he lay there.
Deliriously, Mot regained consciousness. Where was he? Everything was blurry, and he didn't feel all there yet. Had he been... taken? Had they all been taken prisoner?

That woke him up, shooting up into a sitting position, gripping his head with both hands from the sudden head rush. Everything hurt so badly. His skin felt raw, sensitive to the touch. His heart beat erratically from panic, confusion. His head was spinning, he felt like he was going to be sick. Very sick. Slowly, he lifted his gaze, hands buried in his hair as he tried to stop his throbbing headache from exploding his brain through his ears.

He looked around, noting more students beginning to appear within the room on gurneys. One thing let him know he was back at school; the sense that Cricket was there. He sensed her before he even saw her. The nurse, therefore.. this was the Nurse's office. As much as the woman terrified him, she was a sight for sore eyes. It was confirmation they were safe... safe ish.
However, a pressing thought hit him suddenly. Where was Lizzy? She would appear, right? Right.. surely. She would be okay.

He'd watched her die. He could still see it fresh in his mind. If he closed his eyes, he could see her beautiful form turning black, oozing blood and fear, engulfed in flame. His precious friend. Dying before his very eyes.
He looked from where he was, blinking away the spots from his vision. She wasn't there yet. She wasn't there. But she would be.. she would..

He could only wait.

Wait? For what? What now? Wait for her to appear? He wanted to, but he was taking up valuable space sitting useless in a bed. He was no more injured than every other student. They all had wounds, physical and mental. The attention from the Nurse was better suited to those who truly needed it.

Mot didn't wish to be a bother, to take up the Nurse's precious time. She had others to see to. Others who needed her help more than he did. Like Lizzy, or.. Riley. He frowned deeply at the sight of his Captain. What had happened in the place Caelius had gone to? Where others had followed past where Mot and many others had gotten trapped in? Something awful, he imagined. Something that caused the Horsemen to leave with the Head Hunter.

Mot shuffled off of the gurney, wobbling in place, before moving to leave the office entirely. He didn't need to be there. He didn't want to be there. One less person to worry about. One less bother. No use making the nurse tell him the same thing she'll have to tell everyone else; Rest Up, right?
Fine, he'd attempt resting.
Or would he? He still had that bet with Hel. He still needed to train, to get stronger than her. But now, there was the lingering veil of insecurity surrounding him.

Hunters had invaded, and could come back at any time. To simply shoot a net at them and take their fear, their essence. To take their Horsemen. To take his friends. Take his sense of security. To take, and take, and take.

What was happening to the school he loved so much? What had it become? Where had the faculty been? Why couldn't the students protect themselves, and why couldn't the faculty protect them either? The last month or so had been utter chaos.
Nowhere was safe.
No one was safe.

Mot dragged his feet out of the Nurse's office, headed straight for the reaper dorms.

He needed to see Hel. He needed to know she was okay. For all he knew, she might have been attacked too. Maybe the whole school had been? How was he to assume otherwise. The more he walked, he saw things were okay. It had just been them, it seemed. However, he still needed to know. He needed to know and see for himself. Lizzy... that image of her wouldn't go away. It pained hik even worse than the feeling of burning alive. Why couldn't he have helped? Why could he do nothing? He could never protect her from harm. Never.

More than he wanted to see Lizzy safe, he wanted to see Hel.

He didn't question it. It just felt right. He'd let Lizzy down. He'd watched her die. He'd died because he was weak. A useless lump of reaper. What good was he? Would he ever be of use to anyone? Training. More training. He'd spent his time at school goofing off, playing with friends. He had made this place his home, but now? It wasn't home anymore, because he wasn't strong enough to protect it.

He did not stir from his position; instead, he curled deeper into himself, feeling as though he were still in that inferno, that the fire was still licking at his hands and his chest.

LW. Where is LW.

He could not get the shewolf out of his mind, despite hearing the voice of a friend, despite knowing that at least one of the people he was concerned about was still alive.

Where is the woman that I love?

It might have been pathetic, almost, but Ren was in no state to care at this point. He did not even notice the rush of footsteps around him, the sound of panicked voices, of uncertainty and desperation.

Where is Jove? Tybalt? Vaith?

LW?

Ren heard Xiu's voice as though from far away, and slowly, his wings unfurled, away from his body. He pushed himself up, with a great deal of effort, his hair tumbling down his shoulders in golden waves that were lank and limp against his back.

"X..." he started to say, but then his eyes found someone else first -

A very familiar noise demon.

Almost as though on autopilot, Ren got to his feet, making his way towards Vaith. He reached out a hand, catching the other's wrist in a surprisingly tight grasp, his eyes wide.

"........Vaith. You're - "

He couldn't speak; the words died in his throat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sparrow did not know what he was doing anymore. Or rather, he did not really know how to do anything. There was a part of him that was still back there, still burning, but then there was the part of him that was here, that was alive and desperate to try and understand that very basic fact.

He was still alive.

"Ren! Sparrow!"

That was a familiar voice - why was it familiar? Sparrow stopped groping for the door handle, turning his head this way and that before his gaze landed on a pale face, eyes round with mixed relief and worry.

"Oh," he said. "Xiu. There you are."

The words were said oddly, with a strangely level tone to them. Sparrow's hands were shaking so badly he could hardly reach out to grasp one of the baku's in greeting. His hair had fallen free from the clips, waving about his face in strands that stuck to his sweat-dampened face, and he was abnormally pale, the calm, collected side of him all but forgotten.

"I, er...hello there, I'm sorry, I'm not - I'm not quite myself - "

Jericho shot Mort a weak glare as he spoke of replacing the flesh. If only it were that simple. Right now, he didn't quite have it in him to snap at the zombie though. Instead, he looked back to Cricket, watching her as she did her work. FEAR had stopped leaking from her body from what he could see, but aside from that, he couldn't see much else of a difference.

He shook again, silent. Unsure what to do. Shakily, he grabbed his phone to try and text Mal. It needed to know about this.

With how bad he was shaking now, he couldn't type out the text properly. Once he sent it out, he stared towards the ground and bit his lip.

Entering!

Tybalt had barely begun to wake up when Caelius burned them all to the point of dissipation. The pain was unbelievable, not to mention familiar. Far too familiar... He remembered experiencing a pain very much like it, back when Red had unleashed her last attack on them all. Only, back then he had caught the edge of that. This? This was far worse in comparison...

He groaned, trying to sit up, only to hiss out a breath in pain and was forced to flop back down. His body ached, his head hurt and he still had trouble speaking thanks to his throat being so sore. All in all, he was feeling pretty damn miserable. Though that was nothing in comparison to the shame he felt for having lost so badly.

Twice now... Twice he had been put in such a pathetic position by those hunters. Never again! Never again did he want to taste a defeat like that! The pain of losing to those creatures alone was unbearable, but to actually be caught or caged like beast was unforgivable. He wanted to get stronger. He wanted to get stronger now!

Well, at least the leak had been stuffed up. That meant any FEAR that was put in now wouldn't immediately come right back out. However, the fact that there was a massive hole in the Mindflayer's body was still concerning, Cricket making a point to not put her hand in, or through it.

Riley was not a hollow, it was not meant to be played with. Though she was turning in to a Hollow as it seemed to progress, the nurse making a face as she fussed with the wound, pulling up a chair as she sat down to keep up with her process of feeding FEAR into the wound. She had a few words for Jericho, but she'd save them for a better time, when she didn't have to focus on wondering what the ********> had just happened.

---

And Cricket wasn't the only one wondering. Shehk had finally managed to sit up on the cot she'd woken in, making a face as she slowly hobbled up to her feet to walk over to the group that was forming around Cricket. She recognized Jericho and Christof there easily, placing a hand on both of their shoulders awkwardly, half swooning as she tried to stand still.

It took a moment for her eyes to focus on what was happening in front of her, but she didn't ask what had happened to make that situation occur. She knew better than to dig into wounds - literally. So she stood silently, her brows furrowed together lightly.

Vaith's hand was caught, the sudden warm sensation mimicking the burn and shot through him from his wrist, forcing the reaper to jerk his hand away. He stared at Ren with half-crazed eyes, the his wrist still within the other's grasp, everything about his body posture shouting "recoil." His tail, claws and wing tried to force themselves out, the instinctive magic in a form of attack but all it did was flicker.

Thankfully.

But it was as if the very same pain was a slap in the face, a cold slap, waking the noise reaper up.

"I-I.."

He couldn't speak, his other hand lifting to grip Ren's fingers tightly in return, red eyes wide. There would be no way to get rid of the sensation, renewed in Ren, new in Vaith, enough to force the nightmares to resurface all over again.

"T-Thanks. I think .. I think I was about to go drown myself. And that would have been really shitty."
