Kari lifted the window, grinning as it had gone all the way up. She bent her body out, looking at the drop to the gravely rock; not too bad if she kept good footing and slid down some.
Her eyes widened, hearing the crackling of flames; but she's as she turned her head the window slammed shut, slamming onto her hips. Kari winced, trying to use one hand to push up the window and wiggle out. "Ugh, why am I a magnet for trouble." she sighed, letting her hand screech down the window paine as she still struggled to wiggle back inside.

Sora snarled, energizing his keyblade as he took his stance. [Color#a4b294]"Bring it on! Sora charged forward to take the first slash at Axel, while Donald tried to freeze the flames; sqwaking as they just sparked up again.

Sora yelled, using his keyblade as a shield against Axels weapon. They clashed, pushing him back and near the fires ring before Sora thrusted back, pushing Axel away.
"I can take you any day!" He growled, lashing out again as he jumped in the air for an ariel attack. He landed, meeting Axels weapon once again before pulling his keyblade away and quickly knocking him back.

Kari laid limp in the window, no longer struggling but listening. There was a lot of noise going on, something bad, she could just tell from Donalds constant quacking. "Damn that duck," She winced, putting her hands on the bottom of the windows ledge to pull herself out. If she couldn't go in, why not try the opposite way?
It was successful, she slid out like butter, looking her footing and falling off the ledge before finally hitting her back.

Kari sat up, groaning and holding onto her wounded head and side. She panted and quickly looked up, thinking about the drop she made before she shook her head; there was no need to think her pain was any harsher than it already was. With that she took off, her breath shortening as she made it back into the castle to see the battle.
Up at top stood Xenmas, like ceasar watching the lion fight with the gladiator - all while he stood there pleased at the slaughter. From the side was Donald, still quacking away while he made attacks of his own, striking lightening and snow down; anything he could do. And then there was poor Goofy, who stood by uselessly and fretted away.

Sora growled, letting out his own primal yell as he charged forward yet again; clashing with Axel.
Karis eyes moved back and forth, looking at Axel and Sora and then up at Xenmas. "A-Axel! Stop!" She moved closer to the flames, being pulled back by Goofy and Donald. "Kari! Let him handle it!" But she panic'd thinking that he couldn't.
"You can't just sit here and watch!" She whipped her head at them, turning her anger on them before her guilt took over and she looked up. "We have to get Xenmas," She spoke low, knowing that he would probably expect an attack but she didn't whisper to make it a surprise; just saying his name made her uneasy.

Donald and Goofy nodded, the duck taking the lead has he ran up the flight of stairs. "Thundra!" He jumped up, summoning lightening bolts to strike down on the first floor. "D'aw I'm commin' Donald!"
Goofy ran up afterwards, passing up to lead the second attack on Xenmas with his shield.

But Kari stood still, feeling frozen while Sora charged and slashed at Axel's chest and sides.

Everything happened so quickly.
Before she knew it the whole world had passed her by, but at the same time everything was in slow motion; and all she could do was stand there and wach.

Her feet felt stuck to the ground, stuck there by some super adhesive glue. Her stomach coiled and folded within itself, and before she knew it everthing was spinning. Or was it her?
And then she too fell to the floor, fainting and having her own episode.

When the flames died down Sora stood straight up, his expression confused as his keyblade dissapeared. "...what?" His attention turned when he heard a big thunk being made, swiftly he turned his head back and looked.
But other things had been going on at the same time. Goofy and Donald weren't strong enough to hurt Xenmas on their own, their bodies had been knocked to a wall while they groaned in pain. Sora clenched his teeth, bearing them while he grabbed Kari and lifted her up under her arms. "Donald! Goofy! Let's go!" He looked in their general direction, watching while Goofy stood up wearily and hoisted Donald over his shoulder before giving the OK.
Xenmas was long gone, dissapearing into his own void to wherever he wanted; leaving the group dismayed along with his henchmen.

"I'm going back!" Sora also hoisted her up, slapping her over his shoulder and letting her dangle along his back before he ran as fast as he could with the added weight.

This was when she began to blink, at first seeing nothing but the small of Sora's back but when she lifted her head up she met other things. Her own pink hair clouded her vision, pieces falling to the sides of her face and allowing her to see the more Sora moved. "Wait! Sora! Wait!" She clawed at his back, trying to get a good grip on her shoulder, but after all the blood had rushed to her head she felt nothing but weak.
"Roxas!"
She blinked her eyes close, shutting them immediantly as they began to water too much.

The moment at the castle may have been in slow motion, but the procceeding moment wasn't.
Sora had brought Kari back to the borrough, immediantly placing her on Merlin's bed. At first she sat, then she just collapsed, shoving her face into the pillow as she sighed.

All her energy suddenly seemed drained, she was tired, to tired to talk or feel any emotion at all.
Moments later Goofy dragged himself in the borrough as well, Donald hung over his shoulder quacking lazily - futile attempts of his battle cry.
Kari sat up as Goofy had placed Donald down, and everyone's eyes drifted toward the floor; except for Sora's. "What happened with Xenmas?" Donald shook his head, putting one of his feathery hands to the side of his skull. "He dissappeared," His voice was sullen, sad and whiny all at the same time but Sora just crossed his arms and nodded. "We're going to have to go after him." Kari looked up, looking at Sora and thinking about Roxas. Sora didn't seem different at all, if Roxas was gone would he be different?
No doubt they would still be together though, Xenmas kept his minions tight on a leash; but at the same time they were considered disposable. But not Roxas, he was the only one who could collect hearts for the Organization.

She stood up, breathing out harshly as she clenched her fists which rested at her sides. "He's right, we can't just sit here; we were close, almost successful; we can't give up now." Donald looked up at her, Goofy as well, rubbing his own arm while he shrugged. "Gawrsh Kari, we're pretty beaten up." She swallowed, knowing that they were hurt but she wanted to stay on Xenmas' trail before it dissappeared. "You're right, but we can heal once whe get to another town." Donald quacked, sighing and whining once again - but he nodded. "Yeah, let's get onto the ship." He waved his feathery hand into the air before turning around and leading the way out the borrough, Goofy following suit.
Kari turned her head, looking over at Sora and trying to smile and keep her worry look hidden at the same time. "Let's go, I have some stuff that will heal us up." She curved her hand over her back, patting her backpack as Sora nodded and strutted forward; following them onto the ship.

A knock could be heard on Merlin's wooden door, making him stand up and slide over before opening it up. His eyebrows rose in surprise and confusion at finding two boys on his borroughs' steps. "Can I help you two, is there something you need?"
He inspected them closer, putting his old boney fingers underneath his chin as he stroked his beard; his other hand rising up into the air as a single finger pointed up. "Ah! You must be here for some magical training. Want to be my apprentacies do you?" He reached into one side of his sleeve, pulling out his wand and whipping it around in the air. "Well then; come in, come i--" He was stopped by Leon, who had come into the doorway with his arms crossed and figure stiff and tall. "I don't think they're here for magic lessons, Merlin." His own eyes inspected the boys, looking each one of them up and down carefully.

"I don't remember ever seeing you two in town, do you need something?"

Leon examined them yet again, eying them before he let out something close to a sigh. "No, she left somewhere with her friends." Merlin grumbled, retreating into his house as he was soon replaced by Yuffie who bounced happily to his side.
"Hm, guests?" She smiled anyways, leaning on the doors frame while she gripped it with her hands.
"Yeah, they're looking for Kari." Yuffie pulled her arms away from the door frame, pounding her fist lightly in her palm.

"Ah! The pink hair girl, didn't they go to Halloween Town?"
Leon sighed, putting his large hand over his face while Yuffie understood her mistake and stood up straight waving her hands in front of her. But she was stopped, the hand that was on Leons face was soon stuck out in front of her own; stopping her from apologizing. "Forget it," his voice was gruff but authorative, making Yuffie recede back into the cottage while Leon groaned inwardly.
"They won't be comming back anytime soon, so I wouldn't hold your breath." With that he turned around, following the same steps Merlin and Yuffie set before he closed the door.

"Wah! I hate this place, I hate this place!"

Kari stuumbled out of Dr. Finklesteins office, waving her hand in front of her face as she cleared away black smoke. Slowly Sora stumbled out after her, his hair sticking up wildly as he coughed - but he was grinning. "Aha, hey its not that bad." Kari pouted angrily, her hands forming into fists which rested at her sides while she let her eyes water with fake, over dramatic tears.
"Not that bad?! Look at me! I'm a ghost!" She let out a frustrated scream, waving one hand up and down her body. But true to her word, her deameanor was ghost-like. Just like Sora and his friends she had taken on a spooky form all her own, her body slowly became gradient fading from solid to see-through, head to toes.

Sora only grinned, putting his hands behind his head while he let out another chuckle. "And I'm being experimented on by some quack!" She slapped her hands on her face, pulling her cheeks down in a frustrated rage before Dr. Finklestein rolled out of his office - along with a disorientated Donald and Goofy.
"Bah! Who are you calling a quack?" He rolled next to her, snapping open his skull and scratching his brain; making Kari cry out in horror.

"Come on Doc, you're not done yet? We've been here all day!" Soras grin dissapeared, his smile still there while he looked at Finklestein, but Finklestein only grumbled and snapped his skull shut.
"We need to do another test, come on you."

Kari wailed, crying out again while she pouted, watching as he rolled back into his office. "This really is a nightmare."
