[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Sir," Solaris leaned in towards William as she whispered quietly, trying to keep her words away from the elderly woman.
"Why do you always come to her..?"

After a couple of minutes, someone walked into the tent and stared right at the savage.

For better or worse, it was Julian.
He stared at the man, long and hard, as if trying to figure him out right there. It was both to say that the two were very confused by the other.

"Name, savage." He growled, slowly walking towards the bedside.  

[Zahzi]

The man looked at the Captain for a solid minute, his stare piercing through his very soul.

"...Chekondai."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Chicken-die?" Julian tilted his head, looking down at Chekondai with a confused look upon his face.

"Odd name. But I suppose if that's what you guys call yourselves.." He snorted, grabbing a chair and sitting down beside the bed.

"I'm Julian." He put his hand on his chest. "Julian. Can you say Julian?"  

[Zahzi]

"Che-Con-Die." Chekondai said slowly, staring at the Captain as they introduced themselves.
"Why do you introduce yourself in a man's fashion?"  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Chi-con-die. Right." Julian sighed, staring at Chekondai quizzically (though it was nice to hear that he could speak English fluently enough for communication).

"I am a man." He answered simply, staring down at the native. "What makes you think otherwise?"  

[Zahzi]

"Eyes." Chekondai replied simply.
"Not eyes of a man. Can not be hidden."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"You're speaking nonsense." Julian snorted, glaring down at Chekondai.

"I am a man."  

[Zahzi]

"If you are man, prove it." Chekondai told the Captain.

Julian growled in frustration, his glare growing angrier as Chekondai continued to challenge him. But most of all, it was because the damn native was right.

"...Fine." She sighed quietly, her voice a bit rough from the change. She cleared her throat as she grabbed the chair and scooted closer to the bed, wanting to make sure Chekondai would hear her.
"You saw me, savage. You saw right through me... I am not a man. I am a woman." She looked at him, now with an annoyed stare. "Happy?"  

[Zahzi]

"Honesty is something your people have little of, so it is good to see truth." Chekondai told her, his expression still dull.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"How the Hell can you tell anyway?" She asked, although angered by the native's ability to see right through her she couldn't help but be curious.

"I've been with these men for years now and they have yet to clue in."  

[Zahzi]

"Your people not known for paying attention." Chekondai grunted.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Perhaps. That explains why they don't see it. But you haven't told me how you know."  

[Zahzi]

"Eyes." Chekondai repeated.
"Not the eyes of man. Eyes have compassion. Not hate."

Julie stared at Chekondai queerly. She didn't understand what he meant. She was a woman and she hated some people (Arthur the pig headed b*****d for example). And she had seen compassion from the old captain and Antoine on many occasions.

"Men and women are capable of both of those things." She argued.
