Tali sighed as he kissed her, her eyes fluttered when he moved her hair off her face. "Ok, Kirsten is probably hungry, too." she smiled. She picked up one of the other beers that Jake had set out. She looked at him and blinked, after her last scare she was still so hesitant about taking other people's supplies. She felt that he wouldn't hurt her physical no matter what his past was, but she still had a hard time shaking the skiddish nerves. She nodded and looked to where Jake pointed to the closet, "Ok, thank you." She smiled slightly when he kissed her again.

Timidly she opened the beer and drank deeply. It had been a long time since she had a beer. She wasn't even thinking about the fact that she was drinking it on an empty stomach, it was so good. Before she knew it the can was empty. She glanced at Jake and hiccuped. Blushing she covered her mouth with her hand and grinned. She put her hand down and smiled in his direction as she walked over to the closet he pointed to. Licking her lips she walked into the other room to get her pack.

She smiled at Kirsten and said, "The steaks will be done soon. Please don't leave, there maybe more infected out there. At least wait till we see what it's like in the morning. Get some rest, eat, drink some water then if you still want to leave...ok." Tali walked by and patted Kirsten on the hand in a friendly gesture. Continuing to walk she grabbed her pack and froze. She heard sliding outside the door. Her eyes darted to Kirsten and toward the kitchen. No one else seemed concerned. She listened for a few more seconds until the sounds was gone. Standing up she took a deep breath and held her side again.

She walked back into the kitchen area and looked toward Jake again. There were several beers on the counter and she was so thirsty would he mind if I had one more. she thought. He had told her to help herself, she took another deep breath and held her side.

Shaking off the pain she took another can and walked to the closet with her pack. Sitting down in front of the opened closet she sighed and opened her pack. She furrowed her brow and pulled out the damaged plasma gun. Out of learned habit she looked around the room again and back to the gun. She began to disassemble it quickly and with great skill and delicacy. She had the tools here to work on it. Standing up she looked around the room again and at Jake who was cooking and drinking a beer. The first on she had drank already had her head swimming a little. She turned back to the closet and picked out the items she would need to repair her gun. Sitting back down beside the gun she grunted a little, quietly. She glanced in Jake's direction under her lashes, hoping he hadn't heard her. Turning her attention back to the job at hand she assembled some parts, opened the beer quietly, taking a deep drink she studied the gun and it's parts. She set down the half downed beer and finished assembling the gun. She drank the rest and out of habit set the can inside her pack with the other empty can, without even thinking. She tinkered and tightened everything on the gun.

When she was finished with the gun she felt Jake come up behind her. She knew it was him. She already had his scent memorized. When he pulled her into his lap she sighed happily. "I'll be staying, thank you." she looked up at him a little concerned when he said he had to go, "Oh...ok...." she didn't want to ask to many questions but she didn't want him to leave them, especially her. What if something happened and he didn't come back...

She couldn't help but purr a little when he scratched her back, while he spoke to Kirsten. Tali looked down at her shirt. Which was now not only wet but dirty. She looked up at him, "Would you happen to have an extra shirt?" she said as she held out her shirt for him to see what she had just done to it while working on the gun. She smiled and batted her eyes.

"Ok, that's up to you. I don't want to be too much trouble. I can wear one of your shirts for now, if you don't mind." she nuzzled his neck as she spoke and smiled. She had already finished her second beer and was feeling a little tipsy after drinking on an empty stomach. She curved her back a little, enjoying the attention she was getting from his scratch.

Jake nodded. Getting up he grabbed the steaks and a shirt for Tali. "There we go. Three steaks and one shirt." Drinking a little bit more. "We got real food. Drinks. Now we can eat." Sitting down he placed his pistol on the table. Dishing out the steaks he began to eat. "So how long have you been running?" He could tell that they had been running. Only by how they thirsted and ate.

Tali took the shirt when he gave it too her, "Thank you." She sat down at the table when he put the food and drinks down for them. When Jake asked about how long they'd been running she looked at Kirsten as she answered then back to Jake, "Two years for me also, I think. I've no family here so, I've been alone since the outbreak. I was dating someone but he was one of the first infected in my area so....I had to put him down." she shrugged as if it didn't bother her anymore.

She smiled and began eating like it was going to disappear. She finished the steak pretty quickly and licked her full lips and fingers slowly. She opened another beer and drank a third of it, then licked her lips slowly to saver the taste of the steak and beer. She hiccuped and giggled a little.

Taking the shirt that Jake had given her she got up and looked at Jake, "Do you mind if I take a sink bath?" she smiled at him. She still couldn't believe that she wasn't dreaming.

Kirsten caught the beer, she smiled when he made the comment about her smirk. She popped off the top and sniffed it, she took a small sip, she sputtered and laughed, "Blech! Why do you guys drink this stuff?" she grinned at him. "Kay...I'll go to bed after I eat...I'm pooped.." she smirked. She looked at him nervously and folded her fingers together and bowed her head, she muttered something inaudible and looked at him, "It might seem child-like, but there's still a chance of goin' to heaven after all this killin'..." she started eating.

Jake nodded. "You get use to it." Getting up he smiled at her. He went to join Tali in the shower. Going in he kissed her neck. Putting his arms around her. He kept kissing her. Turning her around he kissed her lips. Running her back softly. Pulling her close to him. Smiling as he kissed her.
