Seraphine followed after her best friend and stopped when they did in front of the roses, though her attention was quickly drawn to her blond friend at the girl's obvious exclamation of disappointment. She was about to voice a question but Luke beat her to it, so she remained silent and merely watched Rosie with a questioning expression on her face.

Rosie took a breath, looking over the roses again, in a pause after Luke's question.
"They're all... pretty perfect." her nose wrinkled slightly, faced with the choice. "Oh my gosh, whoever grew these is so good at it."

[Yuri, Ray, Flynn]

Zane shook his head, keeping his mouth shut as the others made plans in front of him, brushing the pichu away from his ear as it nuzzled it. When addressed again, he laughed. "Hey, you're not the only one." he told her, running a hand back through his hair over the right side of his head, just over a patch that didn't match the rest. He guessed her's was for a more suitable reason, though.

He smirked back at Yuri. "Nothing against flowers. Just seems like a lot of 'to-do' over a bunch of plants. Guessin' there's a little more to it, though, given the number of people. Can't all be botanists."

Lovey, meanwhile, remained completely unaware of her trainer's hesitancy to approach the others, continuing up the hill and stopping directly in front of Repede, wagging a tail and offering a soft bark in greeting to everyone around her.

Dove stayed a few paces back, watching, then sighed resignedly and offered a wave and a smile of her own. She had wanted to eventually greet them, and now was as good a time as any.

Any worry that had accumulated immediately dissolved. Indeed, very much like Rosie. Impulsively he stepped forward, withdrawing a pink quartered rose from amongst all the colors and shapes and holding it for her evaluation, "What about this?"

...oh, was that it? Well, she honestly couldn't be too surprised. With a small, amused smile, Sera stepped forward to look at all the roses they had available, including the one Luke had picked out. Honestly, they all looked... Almost exactly the same. They were all roses of varying colors, all grouped in small bouquets... Yeah, apart from color, they all looked pretty much the same to her.

These roses were all so beautiful, she couldn't imagine ever picking one, and she knew it was going to be a much harder choice then she had first anticipated.
Luke moved up to the stand though, being the first to reach in and pick up one of the roses.
She blinked at it a couple of times, blue eyes moving slowly over the uniquely patterned petals, She had never seen this kind of Rose before.
She reached up, to take the flower from him, being careful with the thorns and spinning it gently, admiring how the different shades of pink faded into one another to smoothly.
"Perfect." She agreed, with a smile back at Luke.

Flynn sighed at his friend then blinked as the tall woman patted his shoulder.

Yuri sighed as well. "I wasn't hiding him anywhere, he's supposed to be back in Grande Ile."

"That'll be changing," Flynn responded. "I took a post here once I was promoted."

"Promoted, huh? So that means you're a captain? Congrats, man." Yuri saying this with a clearly pleased smile on his face, if a bit wistful. He then smirked at Ray. "Remember when I told you about how I got here?" He then jabbed his thumb at Flynn. Yep, this was the guy who knocked his lights out and sent him on a boat here.

As Zane went on about the festival, seemingly not getting why they were making such a big fuss about flowers, Yuri just gave an indifferent shrug. Well, why not?

As Lovey came up, Repede wuffed to her on greeting. Dove and the Eevee however went unnoticed by both Yuri and Flynn.

He watched her evaluation of the flower, happy with her verdict, and gently returned the smile. He remembered after a moment that the roses were the wares of a vendor and turned with an apology to search out the price.

Well, that made things much easier, she thought. Otherwise, Rosie might have spent the next forever trying to pick out the perfect rose. Not doing that was good. While Rosie and Luke interacted with the vendor, Sera half-turned and began scanning the other various tables scattered about.

Iona seemed infinitely amused by the Totodile's strange behavior, but suddenly grew curious. She leaned forward, extending a paw slowly, before quickly poking the water-type's nose and just as quickly retracting her paw, to see how he'd react.

A black-haired water trainer inspected the plants looking out to sea, admiring the scenery and the setting for the festival. She smiled faintly at the signs, vendors, and large gatherings of people; everything seemed so lively.

There were indeed a few people she recognized, but Tymiko had been out of touch with them for so long that she felt kind of awkward just to go by and say hello. Perhaps she would in a bit, but for now there were so many things to do and see. A vendor selling some interesting-looking pokeballs had a stall set up by a berry-seller. The girl went to go look at them both.

Gummy's eyes didn't seem to follow the paw, but his mouth did open and snap shut right after Iona poked him on the nose. After that, his eyes seemed to focus slightly and he was looking, or, rather, directing that same vacant stare, at her.

Henrietta broke a piece of the fried cake off after she'd bought it and held the small piece up to the Zubat on her head.
Winglet snapped it up as soon as she knew it was there.
The girl then made her way back toward the Pikachu and Totodile, breaking off two more little bits for each of them.
She didn't know the Pikachu, or who owned it, but it didn't occur to her that anyone would ever mind their pokémon being offered food.
"Hey! You two having fun then! I got some... uh, y'know I didn't ask what kind of cake this was but it's delicious!" She grinned, crouching to sit on her haunches and offer what she'd broken off.

"Quartered Alba rose" a soft, timid voice spoke from somewhere within the roses.
An older looking man with quiet eyes, dark but gentle, kindly aged features and neatly slicked back ashen blue hair sat behind the booth, observing the Youngers as they picked one of the flowers out.
"This is the first year that bush blossomed so beautifully." He continued in a calm and tired voice, though he stood up and held a hand out toward the rose that Rosie was holding.
"A single rose is two." He added.

"Oh." This must be the one who owned all of these Roses. Handing him the flower that Luke had picked out, freeing her hands so she could reach into her pocket to pay him, though she watched as he gently trimmed the thorns down, work warn hands tenderly holding the rose stem, handing it with care.
"Do you want a clip for your hair?" he asked, not looking up from what he was doing.

"Oh, yes please."
The stem was clipped a little shorter, and handed back to Rosie. As the girl slipped the rose behind her ear, and accepting the clip from the man to hold it better into place, his dark eyes shifted over to Luke and Seraphine. "You have an eye for Roses young man."

Luke watched as the vendor spoke, trimmed the stem, and passed it to Rosie. He continued to watch the flower in her own hands as she tucked the bloom into her hair and fastened it. His attention was drawn when he realized he was being spoken to, and he shook his head dismissively, "Nothing like that. I just…" Thought it would suit her. It did.

The quiet expression from the vender gave more of the impression that he thought the boy was just being modest. Though, the timid man didn't say anything more, just gave a small smile, looking back to the girl who was now wearing one of his flowers before returning to tending to his booth.

"There," Rosie announced once she thought she got it in okay. "it is on straight?" She asked turning to Luke and Sera for their inspection.
Thought she saw Sera already looking over at something else "What did you find?"

Sera turned her gaze back to Rosie once the girl asked her question, to which she answered, "Yeah, it's straight." What did who find? Oh. "Oh, nothing really, just--"

Jacques suddenly flung himself on Sera, his arms draped over her shoulders and his head atop hers. The unexpected action made her stumble forward but luckily she didn't fall, and before she could chastise him the dark-type flailed his arms in the general direction of a booth that, upon closer inspection, appeared to be selling berries. "Zooooorrrr!!"
