[FIN] Kanto Competition

"We'll make that happen" Ray said with a grin and a nudge to the youngest trainer in the group.
Ray had watched Henrietta, having also seen her battle before when she had caught Winglet. Very much a new trainer, and Ray didn't have any illusions that The young girl had what it took to win this compilation at this stage in her journey. But Ray knew that even when she lost it wasn't going to slow the girl down, not even a little.
THAT there was a sign of something great, this girl was going to be something great when she and her pokemon grew up, Ray thought to herself playfully that she knew she was going to have to watch her back for when that time came.

At the question of Yuri Ray glanced around. "I think he wandered off, If I know him he probably found some food himself." She grinned "I'm sure he'll find us when he's ready, he's a big boy."

While everyone else had seemed to naturally gravitate towards the exact spot where everyone else was waiting, Sera did not, and thus by the time she finally found them after the battles were over, it seemed they'd all already congregated. She threw her arms up dramatically as she came to a stop somewhere near Rosie and Luke, not as close to the former because her sister appeared to be taking that spot, "Finally! Thought I'd never find you guys," the girl finished with an equally dramatic sigh, then grinned slightly at her best friends, "did you guys win your battle too?" She had won hers. As if there was any doubt.

Trailing behind Sera, though not too far, was the Sneasel she had received from her parents for her birthday. The dual-dark and ice-type halted slightly diagonal from her trainer and gave all the humans a look of distinct disapproval partially masked by unease in such crowds. What was she doing out around all these humans again...?

Rosie perked up when Sera stepped up next to Luke, being the last to join then again, other than Yuri, who Ray seemed confident would find them again.
"We did! Sera! I wish I could have watched your battle!" Rosie explained, So excited that Sera had won, it was definitely showing the progress she was making.
"We were just thinking about getting something to eat when you caught up."

Ray crossed her arms over her chest when Sera finally found them, not surprised by the girls complaint, but she grinned smoothly after Rosie had finished talking to her. "I watched that battle, you and Isabella did pretty good, that opponent of yours was actually a good team, just keep it up, how lame would it be if you went down in the first round tomorrow!" She finished with a laugh.

"Well of course you did, Rosie," Sera countered with a small grin. Though she hadn't watched and therefore didn't know for sure, it was still good to get confirmation of her assumptions. Just like she assumed Luke also won, but there was almost no way Rosie could lose in a preliminary round. She had been training far harder and for far longer than either she or Luke had. Honestly, if the brunette had won her preliminary, then there was no way Rosie or Luke could have lost theirs. No. Way. "Dinner sounds good, I'm starving. I hope they have good food hear," not like any of that s**t she had been forced to eat while with Ray, though at the very, very least, the taller woman's biggest positive was the beer they got on their way back every evening.

On such thoughts, the brunette turned to scoff at the silver-haired woman. "Oh please, there's no way I'd lose in the first battle tomorrow." No way in hell. Anything after that, though, was fair game. She honestly didn't expect to progress very far, given how long some of them had been training - and for her, that hadn't been long. Well, it had, but her training alone could best be described as horrendously pitiful on a good day.

While her human spoke to the others, Agatha's eyes roamed around the quieter ones in the group - namely Dove, Luke, and Faleen.

Yuri had indeed wandered off, but his prolonged absence could be explained. If anyone went looking for him, they'd find the man in the middle of a bunch of trainers that had clustered around him. Mostly female trainers at that.

"Oh my gosh is that a shiny Eevee?!" "Oh he's so cute!" "Where did you find him?" "I'll trade you my Clefairy for him!"

The man had made the woeful mistake of letting Astal out in a place that was thronging with trainers.

The Eevee's ears tilted back with a rather grumpy look on his face. Normally he wouldn't be so cowardly as to hide, but with all the gawking and squealing voices, the Eevee had opted to seek shelter between Yuri's feet.

Yuri himself looking a bit flustered at all the sudden attention the Eevee had attracted. "Whoa whoa, hold on, one at a time."

Dove shrugged a little, then nodded in agreement with Ray; Yuri was a big boy... he could handle himself, that was for sure. She still felt bad about leaving him, though...

When Sera approached, however, her attention was drawn to the girl. Though she felt the need to congratulate her as well, she simply nodded as the others offered their congratulatory words, hoping her quiet agreeing could serve as her own praise of the girl's efforts. In all honesty, though, she highly doubted Sera would even care. It would be horrendous, however, if she didn't respond at all and she noticed.

Lovey's attention was immediately drawn to the Sneasel beside the girl, and she tilted her head at it a little, before her trainer turned to look at the other small group that had started to form-- with Yuri at the center of it.

"What on earth...?"

Sera completely ignored Dove and her greeting nod - as if a nod could be anything other than a greeting - though she didn't hear the commotion nearby, someone else saw it and commented. The brunette half-turned her head, and when she saw who was at the center of it, she completely ignored that, too. "He's a big boy, even if he looks like a big girl," Sera pointed out as she moved between her two best friends and linked arms with both, "but you guys mentioned dinner, and that's sure as hell way more important than anything else, so c'mon, let's go see what they have to eat. I'm starving. Right?"

The last, questioning word as well as a half-glance were aimed at the dark-type at her side, and Agatha offered a quiet "Sneasel" in agreement. She was also hungry, regardless of the behavior of the humans around them.

That settled, Sera turned to walk off towards where she assumed food was, still holding Rosie's and Luke's arms unless for whatever reason they didn't want to follow. And why not? They had literally just suggested they all go get dinner.

"Alright, So lead the way Rosie, since you're the one with the idea!" Ray announced, and made a sweeping gesture toward the girl who was now caught up with Luke in the grip of their brunette friend.

Letting the younger trainers pass, Ray stepped instead beside the one who she had been hearing was the blond's elder sister, but whom she had not so much as spoken too yet. The other women (though obviously still a kid) seemed much more reserved and watchful then yer younger sibling.

Ray clapped a hand on Henrietta's and Dove's shoulders, leading the group into motion.

"OY!" Ray called as they passed Yuri. "Yuri we're getting food, move it or loose it."
The look on his face as he seemed to be surrounded by girl was one of amusement, but she didn't look like she was going to throw him a line of help.

As the group seemed to make up its mind, Rosie chuckled, holding tightly to Sera's arm closely and with Ray's instruction she made her way forward.
They passed Yuri, who looked like he needed a little help, though it was hard to miss Ray's voice calling out to him over the crowd.

Rosie glanced behind her at the group, that was following. seeing the number of friends, everyone seemed more or less excited and enjoying themselves, and the fact that her sister had been able to come just made this that much better. She was so glad she got to introduce her sister to her friends, this was exciting!

Faleen had made a couple of mental notes to look into later, once this group called it a night and she could break away. She wanted to know why this women had a dark ball for one, and where she got it.
There could be a number of reasons, but none were worth mentioning in front of the group, nor to the women herself until she understood more.

As they started moving, Faleen's eyes had fallen onto the Sneasle that was with the group. At least someone had an agreeable taste in pokemon, though she pitied the beast.

Surrounded by the group of trainers, by so many trainers everywhere, in fact, was really awesome and Henrietta itched to battle with every single person in the room had she been able too. Either that or run off inspecting every pokémon that anyone let out.
There was just too much to see, too many people and pokémon to meet... and anyway, she was too easily distracted, especially by simple wants.
Her stomach growled again, a little more loudly, and though she was curious about everything going on- that girl with the shiny Eevee for one that Ray clearly knew, and that Sneasel with that other girl that Rosie knew... she was happy enough to start being steered out to where dinner would be by Ray, alongside Dove.

"I could eat a Rapidash!" She exaggerated, as she was guided along from behind, checking once to make sure Gummy stayed 'at heel'.

As she had expected, Sera had taken no notice of her, and though it still stung to have her so obviously at odds against her, she was half relieved-- another confrontation would do no one good.

At Ray's sudden urging forward, Dove started walking, following the half of the group in front of her. Though she worried that Yuri might need help, she quickly dismissed it. He could handle himself, and she was sure he wouldn't want her meddling in...whatever was happening right now.

She smiled brightly at Henrietta's exclamation, and looked to the girl, setting Lovey higher up on her shoulder. "Why eat it when you could catch it?" she winked. "How's that coming along, by the way? Did you make it to the lake?"

Yuri made a frustrated sound as the trainers surrounding him continued to assault him with questions and trade offers. Repede wasn't helping either. The Growlithe sitting outside the circle and yawning lazily, tilting his gaze up when the group passed.

Ray's voice was certainly a welcome one when she called him to come along.

"Yeah I'm not trading him, sorry. I gotta go."

With that, Yuri pushed through the group. The girls giving a unisoned "awww" in disappointment as the "girl" with the shiny Eevee left, leaving them to pout. Astal hurrying away with Yuri, his ears plastered back and muttering "vees" to himself about how this was exactly the reason he kept himself purposely dirty until this guy made him take a bath.

It did not take very long for the group, to find a place to eat, being seated at a large table within the busy restaurant.
And despite the noise of the other guests, most of them being Trainers, Ray was able to make her voice heard fairly easily.

"So then there Yuri is, he pulls his sword out and goes right up to this Eevee, Leaving Repede back there with me and proceeds to challenge it." one of her arms was draped over the table as she told this story to the group.
"And when the eevee isn't having any of that s**t, it takes off, making these boys to go chasing after it, and getting their asses handed to them by a sassy dust covered fur ball."
She grinned, her eyes falling onto the shiny Eevee with a wink. "You should have seen his face. In all the years, I've never seen a sword used to challenge a pokemon. Point for uniqueness."

The group had not been there long, the waitress was still getting the drink orders as they got settled, Ray having finished the story from while they were waiting to be seated.

Faleen sat, and politely listened to the story that the gray haired women was telling, hands folded in her lap, and though she didn't laugh, there was a small smile on her face as the story was told. giving the impression that she was at least in part entertained by the story.
And who was this again that the women was talking about? The man, Yuri.

Faleen's eyes glanced over to him, He looked like he was from Grand Ile, the clothes, and sword were hints as to his origins.
"It seems your endeavors obviously paid out in the end." Faleen noted.

Rosie, who was sitting next to Faleen had been listening to the story as well, but somewhere down the line had become very still, and very quiet.
This of course was something that was very unusual for the younger blond, and thus drew the elders glance.

"...." Frowning softly, Faleen took notice of the blue eyes of the girl focused on Ray with wide surprise and a troubled l pale look on her face.
"What is it? Rosie."

Ah, well. Ray's story certainly explained things.

Dove had taken a seat as she was directed to once inside the restaurant, choosing to sit as close to Henrietta and Rosie as possible-- though of course she left room for Luke and Sera and ended up sitting across from her instead; They were Rosie's best friends after all.-- and had listened attentively to the tale being told, grinning and watching the shiny eevee, amazed that Yuri had caught it. From the way it sounded, they would work well together.

Though she had been quiet for most of the evening, at least, since they had been seated, Dove looked up to Rosie at Faleen's questioning tone, her expression that of concern. "Rosie...?" She, too, had noticed that the blonde girl had grown quiet, but she hadn't thought to look for any means of alarm-- it had been a long day, afterall, and Ray's story had been captivating...
