((No prob~))

The pirate threw up his arms in a gesture of being done with Z'ril's 'antics' and the dig into his 'ability' to 'keep up'. "Just shut your mouth and get this ship moving," he said, turning and heading for the captain's cabin to get some sleep while the nymph and old man kept the ship going, and going in the correct direction. He'd figured he could enjoy showing the nymph just how much stamina he had over the course of the next week ... and show Z'ril he did. Over the course of the next week, when the nymph jumped him with a kiss or otherwise to get his attention ... well, Will returned the sentiment in kind. It was a free lay, and Bull was the only crew around. And heck, that old man didn't care about what they did in the captain's cabin, and even seemed quite happy asking the nymph for stories pertaining to the nymph culture, and getting someone to actually to have a conversation with that wasn't William.

It was Bull with his one good eye who told Z'ril to grab a spyglass and look along the horizon. Sure enough, a thin line of land was coming into sight, and seagulls were soon flying around the ship with loud cries, and other ships began to populate the water ahead of the little Seacow. Bull had Z'ril take the wheel while he went to get Will up, since the other had taken the night shift. And Bull didn't particularly want to pull the ship into port if Z'ril got it into his head a 'quick' lay would be good before they arrived. Because if past experience was anything to go by, Will and the nymph could go at it for for quite a while. The old man knocked loudly at the door until he heard cursing from inside, then nodded to himself and began checking over the ship until William came out of his cabin dressed and looking grouchy until it was made clear land was sighted and they had to get ready to dock at port.

It wasn't easy. With a port this size, steering was a very delicate thing and one had to find an open bit of dock to come in to. So getting the ship into a cozy nook all her own took all three of the males working hard until the ship was safely tied to the dock. William motioned for Z'ril to head to the cabin as he disembarked to pay the fee for keeping a ship docked while asking for the location of the nearest cheap inn. William figured they'd be stuck on land for a good long while, considering he needed to scrap up a proper crew, sell the old Seacow and buy a new vessel. And figure out what the hell to do about his nymph tag along. So, William went back onto the ship, Bull below deck grabbing his own meager possessions while the pirate went to the cabin to grab his own chest. A chest which held the treasure Z'ril had paid him up-front, still quite full of gems, gold, and other things bound to sell for a good price. William had packed the chest with his other possessions, such as clothes, to keep the metallic jingle from being too obvious as he heaved the chest up to rest on one of his shoulders.

"Time to find the cheapest place to sleep in town and stay there until things are sorted," he said aloud, though Z'ril already knew this, and Will then marched on deck to give Bull a 'maybe see you later' good bye. The older man had been good company, and William hoped by the time he'd secured a new ship he'd be able to find Bulrag again to bring him on. Sometimes, a trusted body was much more valuable than an able one, especially when will would have to get an entire new crew together.

((Bahhhh *kicks brain* You can do better than thisssss))

Z'ril chuckled as the other stormed away and over the next week he was firmly impressed by Williams abilities. The other was able to keep up with him and Z'ril had been able to have quite a few great conversations with Bull. If anything Z'ril seemed to act better than before, more energetic, he would joke and tease easily and beside once or twice of threatening William to get a rise he had generally stopped his fowl attitude. When Bull called him up to look at the port Z'ril actually looked rather excited and waited for the other men to get back before he started working the rigging. He had certainly learned the ropes in the past weeks, having used the rigging for a big of trouble, but beside one slip he had gotten the hang of it. He was not quite as fast as Will but thankfully, due to his race, he was very nimble.

Z'ril had gone back to taking the potions that made him look more human and along with it that thin muscle started to build up. Z'ril was starting to look less and less like a dainty woman and more like he could actually handle himself. The new attitude didn't help with that, the air of innocence trading out with something much more dangerous. Z'ril could only imagine what would happen if he was given more time on the ship, his natural skin getting less and less pale as he actually tanned, hell Z'ril wanted more time on the ship. Even if that was only because bugging William all the time for sex was hilarious and amazing. The other always looked so hungry when he asked and was more than eager. It certainly was a different experience sleeping with a Nymph, if only because of the temperature differences in their bodies.

Z'ril like the extra heat and William seemed to enjoy the cool feeling. Z'ril jumped down the mast and disappeared into the captain's cabin so he could also help pack up a few things before following the other with his own trunk. Z'ril gave bull a quick hug good bye, hoping that he would get to see the other again "And hey if I get sold to a brothel go ahead and stop by." Z'ril gave the old man a joking wink before following William to look for a place to stay. Z'ril stopped the other for a moment and spoke quickly to someone close by in a language that wasn't human before nodding his head and smiling.

"Few places down they'll let us stay for real cheap, good place, lots of people looking to get on ships and if you're LUCKY you'll pick up a rogue fairy while you're there. I bet you twenty gold you had at LEAST one or two on you last vessel. Those guys love the sea and the forest… I don't know why you humans think they are all tiny. I knew this one very when I was eight who was almost seven foot tall. He would pick all the kids up and spin them in the air." Z'ril chuckled slightly and showed William the place. The woman at the desk smiled widely before motioning them to a room. Z'ril followed William and when they reached the room he was surprised to see a mirror there and he took one look at himself then blinked.

"Oh wow… I actually look like a guy." Z'ril chuckled, knowing the bit of dirt and tanned skin helped with that. Z'ril sat on the bed opposite William and grinned up at him "You gonna go find yourself a pretty young lady? I am sure there are some good ones working here." Z'ril was good himself, he had fun the day before with William. He still looked rather girly, very effeminate, but with his hair put up and the build of muscle, his face obscured by the hat, he passed off easier as a younger boy. If he kept going though he wouldn’t need the potion to look like a boy but Z'ril had a feeling that also had to do with the change. He had bound himself to a human and so, since he was part human, his more human side was gaining power. He was sure if William didn't sell him then he would probably end up looking like some of those "pretty" boy's. Long hair, thin face, plenty of muscle but still looking like a man. Z'ril laid back on the bed with a sigh, stretching his arms above his head, and thought about the long hair part. He should cut it off.

"I think I know what I'll be doing today." Z'ril mumbled mostly to himself. He looked more like a girl with the long hair and while he loved it, preferred it that way even, he knew that it would be easier to hid amongst a larger crew, or hell amongst a bunch of other slaves, if he cut his hair off. He could get away a lot easier with not being sold to some b*****d and probably keep crew members off of him. Z'ril would go as far to grow facial hair or something but he wasn't THAT human. Z'ril stood after a moment "I'll be back here when your done doing what your gonna do. If you make your choice to sell at least do it when I'm back alright? Mainly because it will be a hassle if I suddenly end up needing to jump someone. It would be funny though, sure you would get a kick out of it." Z'ril chuckled as he left.

Z'ril didn't even notice how the looks shifted from only men staring at him to a few women getting a bit excited.

(Whew! Finally! I can make him the way I want him. I figure years trapped on the island he would have little to no muscle now he's starting to look more like a guy. A girly guy but still a guy. )

William raised an eyebrow when the nymph went to some stranger and spoke gibberish with them before returning with a grin and good news. The pirate was just happy to have a sure destination to lug the luggage to; treasure and clothing packed together wasn't exactly light, and he switched shoulders halfway to give himself a break. Will was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere of the seaside inn the arrived at and quickly went to the purchased room before putting down the heavy locked chest with a look around the place before chuckling. "Of course you look like a guy. A little seasalt does that to most folks," Will said as a matter of fact, though it was true Z'ril's transformation was a bit more of a dramatic one, considering his species. Well, at least the nymph could pass for a normal young man instead of having to dress in drag again.

When asked if he was going to get himself a woman, William just grinned saucily at the nymph, clearly the look saying all the 'yes' Z'ril needed to know. He'd been long enough at sea and long enough without proper breasts to grope at. Business could be delt with later. "Just keep your a** out of trouble!" he called after the nymph with a chuckle, wondering if selling tickets to a horny nymph performance might draw in a good amount of money before shaking his head. Will then carefully unpacked his clothes before hiding the chest with most of their funds, keeping a decent amount of coin in his purse for day-to-day purchases. Once everything was sorted, William went out of the room to inquire about what 'female services' were offered at this nice inn, and a couple of hours later was left quite pleased with the service. The woman left once her job was done and tip given to her, Will laying naked in bed for a few moments longer to debate between heading out or letting himself have a pleasant little nap. He fiddled with the pendant as it lay on his chest, eyes half-lidded as he thought it over before standing up and getting himself dressed.

He left the inn after asking a bit of the few nearly-shady folks about selling 'exotic' goods and where to get the best prices for his stock. Once given proper directions, William left and explored the town for a bit as he made his way to the large trading district ... eventually turning to head down an alleyway that smelled of piss and worse bodily fluids, wrinkling his nose and quickly heading into the seedy bar with a rickety door and a wooden sign so rotted that the name of said bar was unreadable. How obvious of them. The pirate walked in and bought himself one beer, trying not to grimace at the taste it left in his mouth as he inquired about selling a rare and beautiful object with the barkeep. The man polished a glass clean, frown deep set on his face before looking the pirate over a bit as if to make sure the man before him wasn't some constable before gesturing with his head to the stairs heading to the second floor.

Will left a handful of copper on the table for the barely-touched drink before heading up the stairs. He was stopped by two very large muscular and almost horse-smelling men at the top before a doorway, William smiling with his usual ease and letting one of the brutes take his sword. If the pirate had to guess, the two were the unholy product of some man mating with a gorilla, but he didn't have time to really think about it as he was let into a room filled with bits and pieces of this-and-that. Literally. Skulls, fangs, claws, pelts, fangs and claws of immense sizes, and even a stretch of scales that glistened just like the young leviathan's had. And in the back ... two men speaking over a few piece of papers with numbers and names, likely some sort of log book. One sat behind the desk with the papers spread out upon it, while the other was standing and leaning on the old desk. William walked forward into the room, around a basket full of what could only be cleaned skulls before clearing his throat to get the pair's attention. They looked as alike as a weasel and a ferret; one slightly fatter and longer with a well-groomed appearance, while the other was shorter and thinner and wilder.

"I hear you trade in--" Will blinked, spotting something in one of the darker corners of the shop before putting on his best trader's smile. Which was to say it was quite fake and charismatic. "--exotics, such as that boy over there." He gestured to the wide-eyed adolescent who had a thick collar around his neck, rather large canine-like teeth, and hair growing down in a shirt black line along his spine. Clearly not human, but hard to tell exactly what when the youth was quick to retreat further into the dark when gestured to. "You see, I've come into the possession of one such exotic, and was hoping to see if I could find a place offering a better price for him than the one currently offered."

"Depends on what you have," unnamed 'weasel' snapped, still standing as he drummed his fingers onto the desk.

"We can't very well name a price without seeing the goods," the 'ferret' said more smoothly, motioning William to come closer.

The pirate strolled forward, attention on the two men before grinning. "He's a real treat, let me tell you. Addicted to sex, has a very curvy, hairless figure. Not bad in bed, though he could stand to learn a few tricks. Not human, either," William went on, while the two listened with carefully-hidden interest. The market for such 'exotics' was always quite the healthy one, as Will knew well. "Not a virgin, but he is a kind of water-creature thing. What was it called again ..." William preteneded to think.

"A nymph? Sea, or fresh water type?" Weasel demanded while Will shrugged.

"I'm not entirely sure, my good man." Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see the adolescent whatever-it-was staring at him, ears slightly large than the human average and pointed at the tip. Closer now, Will realized the boy's skin had small dark stripes of darker tones skin lightly marking his body. All of his naked body; though it wasn't obvious enough to look odd; just light enough to look exotic and different. The hair on his head was a mix of dark gray and black, the black continuing down his spine until about halfway down his back. Well, at least he wasn't malnourished. William had seen kids near starved in slave shops, especially adolescents who were mostly sold as expensive and young virgins to the highest bidder.

"But the price I've already been offered is ..." William named a sum of gold large enough to buy him a large seagoing vessel or two, making both Weasel and Ferret looked quite shocked before the more wild of the two spoke up.

"You can't expect us to--"

"We, or course, would need to see the merchandise offered before thinking about offering such an extraordinary sum," the Ferret quickly cut the other off, and the pirate wondered if they were related. Brother's who'd inherited daddy's trade, most likely. "If you could bring it here--"

It was Will's turn to cut the man off. "If you don't mind, I'd rather meet in a more public setting. Say, the Baker's Pub?" Will named a random bar (much nicer than the fake one downstairs) he'd seen along the way, and soon had a time ironed out for them to meet and for Z'ril to be inspected.

The pirate soon left, wondering if the 'werehyena' the two began arguing again about before he'd even left the room was the kid laying in the corner like a puppy soon to be sold. Out of place alive in the shop filled mostly with the dead pieces of the brother's stock. Will put that thought from his mind, smiling to himself as he walked back to the inn while taking a round-about route, just in case he was being followed, as unlikely as it was. He was a man who'd just came to port and went out to a bar that likely sold the cheapest piss-poor-beer in town; what was so suspicious about that? Though he couldn't help but wonder what the nymph had been up to while he'd been away.

Z'ril shook his head as the other shouted at his back and left down the stairs, something in his heart feeling rather heavy, before he gave the inn keeper a kind smile and left. He didn't know exactly where he was going, that was something hard to figure out, but as he walked he slowly saw more and more people who were not exactly human heading in one specific direction. Z'ril saw a few of them accompanied by laughing and smiling humans and the pace picked up. Z'ril walked a bit faster as the groups grew thicker and the different faces grew stranger until he was passing under an arch way that most everyone passed by with almost no mind. Suddenly the world exploded in color and Z'ril was standing in a place he had never thought he would see, where a few humans and to many other species all gathered.

People laughed and grinned, a few women giving him smiles as he walked by in a daze. Fairies, Nymphs, werehyenas, mermaids, you name it. They all worked the stands and laughed, smiling, and Z'ril was just amazed. No one hear yelled at him and the Nymphs he met smiled at him and greeted him with warm smiles because they didn't know. They were not his father's people and even if they were… they wouldn’t care. Everyone here was happy and joyful and there were just so many colors. No one really sold their wares here, they made enough from the human traders for their items, and it seemed that there was more of a festival than anything else going on. Z'ril found himself smiling widely and helping some children catch fish to take home, loving the way their smiles lit up, and playing silly games with the few fairies that were stopped before they headed back out to sea.

Z'ril forgot about cutting his hair, about the trouble he was in, about William and his old home. He forgot it all and was even told by a few nymphs there was a lake nearby. This was where Z'ril wanted to be, the people telling him it was always a good place to be and while not every day was quite as festive everyone was easily hidden here, and he was more than happy to spend his time with the other Nymphs and races just laughing. Z'ril got some lovely designs in hena decorated on his neck before looking up at the sky and seeing that the sun was heading down to set. Z'ril couldn’t just leave himself to this, he wanted to show Bull but he didn't know where the man was, so instead Z'ril pushed through the crowds and then headed for the inn.

Z'ril found William just as he was heading to the in and he grabbed his hand, eagerly pulling him in the other direction. "Save your drinking for a while and come with me! Don't argue, come, You have to see this!" Z'ril's smile was so wide and nothing like when he had been with William. There had been so many different looks, so many tinged with fear or sadness, but as Z'ril pulled the man along the only thing tha radiated off him was nothing but pure joy. When Z'ril pulled the other under the sign it was already starting to get dark but the festival was just winding up. A few very pretty young ladies gave will coy smiles and Z'ril gave them both a friendly wave.

"Look at this place William! Sitting right under everyone's noses! Their having a festival today, celebrating the turn of the new year, they have games and prizes and everything." Z'ril said animatedly as he pulled William along, no one even sparing them both a second glance beside to smile at them. "You need to meet someone though! His name is Kyle and he's a fairy, a big man really, but he's looking for a new ship to sail on and a captain that won't get him killed right off." Z'ril pulled the other along. "There are more men here that are looking for a captain, human too, they know the creatures pirates come across and know how to handle them!" Z'ril pulled William over to a booth before taking him around the back to where a very tall and burly man was carrying a bucket of tiny fish. "Back already Z'ril? Is this that capn' you were tellin' me abou'?" Z'ril nodded before pulling William forward.

"He isn't much… okay he's a lot, but he's getting a good ship and he know's what he's doing. He's not the most upstanding man but he'll be the best you can find." Kyle tilted his head, looking William over, and Watched Z'ril trot off for a moment to go show some children a few tricks. When Kyle looked back at William he crossed his arms over his chest. "Boy's a bit young for you to be selling." Kyle's eyes were hard "And Naïve… He's a good kid but he's had a sour run of luck from what I know." Kyle made a low noise. "You’re a lucky man you know, to have made it out alive, most Nymphs kill their partners the first time they have sex… Even more or those who cannot even leave their lakes alone." Z'ril's laugh echoed towards the men and a few children's giggles followed.

"I don't want to get to muddle in your business Capn', I know it ain' my place, but dun sell that boy 'ere. Ya hear? Ain't no one but the people here would care about 'im. He went and made a right dump mistake… don' punish 'im for it." Kyle looked at William, straight in the eyes "They'll tare him apart. He won't last but a day an even then… he won't last well. The slaves sold here… their used as meat. Believe it or not people will pay a high price to eat people." Kyle sighed heavily and set a hand on Williams shoulder "Plus you may need a nymph on your ship, is dangerous this time o' year around these parts. Leviathans headin' to the deeper parts of the ocean and what not." Z'ril came back after a moment "So what do you say Kyle? I won't be on this ship but William here is a good captain and there is always Bull who he should pick back up! He's a good man and with you to vouch for the captain he could pull in some good men who won't leave him stranded." Z'ril grinned and Kyle chuckled.

"I think I can leave this place with him. You still thinkin' about that lake near bye? It's fresh waters, real clear, plenty people around." Z'ril shook his head "I told you Kyle, pipe dream, no one's gonna help me through my addiction if I am left there and I don't want to cause trouble. It would have been nice though! There are so many people around an the Nymphs here are very kind… They don't treat me like my fathers clan did." Z'ril chuckled and Kyle pat his head "That's cuz yer a good kid." Z'ril scrunched up his nose "Don't say that you old man! I am well old enough. Just cuz I ain't three hundred like you don't mean I am a kid!" Kyle laughed and Z'ril huffed and crossed his arms before remembering. "Oh yeah! Kyle can you cut my hair? Easier on a ship without looking like a lady you know? I may be a Nymph and a bit of an idiot but I am no whore." Kyler chuckled and nodded before pointing to a crate and watching Z'ril let his hair down.

"Well I'll be you have a lot of hair!" Z'ril chuckled "Yeah… Get's in the way though." Z'ril tried not to say exactly why but he was Sure William remembered the several instances where the girly hair had been a pain. For both of them. Z'ril felt the other gather his hair up and in a quick movement the longest bit was cut off and a moment later Z'ril was sitting there with shaggy, slightly curly, blond hair. "Look at that. It curls when it's not weighed down. Not much but it's nice. You mum probably had curly hair." Z'ril rolled his eyes and hopped up, staring at the sheer about of hair the other had collected. "No more drag for me." Z'ril looked back at William and grinned, Kyle sucking in a small breath and muttering something that sounded very much like "Lucky b*****d" before he turned to put the hair in a container.

"Come on William! There is more to see." Z'ril grabbed Williams wrist and pulled him along.

William was taken by surprise. Not particularly by Z'ril grabbing his hand and dragging him off to some unknown location (though the pirate was more than a little miffed at that), but mostly by the look on the nymph's face; the way his body seemed to almost vibrate with happy eagerness to share whatever it was he'd seen. It was beyond odd to the pirate, who couldn't remember the last time he'd seen such unbound joy on anyone, let alone this particular nymph. But that surprised was soon eclipsed by another feeling altogether as William found himself pulled in a seemingly random direction ... only to find himself neck-deep in far more creatures of 'fantasy' than he'd ever wanted to see in his lifetime. Gills, scales, fur and all sorts of who-knew-what walking around and having a grand time while the pirate was dragged along by Z'ril and kept cool while internally he was nearly overwhelmed by it all. Having a nymph around and seeing a leviathan once was one thing; being in a crowd of different species who he was used to assuming he'd never ever see himself (or at least not know he was seeing considering Z'ril's earlier rough fairy comment) was a different sort of crazy entirely.

It was frankly a relief when Z'ril pulled him around behind one of the booths and a bit out of the crowd to meet a fairy named Kyle looking for a ship. Now, the captain raised an eyebrow as Z'ril padded off towards some small children and the fairy gathered quite a lot of what was currently going on. Well, it was a tad obvious, Will assumed. Pirate with a very valuable 'sex slave' or sorts? Or course he was going to fish around and see buyers in town to get an estimation on what sort of price to set Z'ril at. Will frowned a little, but it was more a thoughtful look than a disproving one. Sell 'em as food, huh? No wonder that furry little were had been well-fed. The tally lists had likely been who wanted what body parts for how much, the two men arguing over the best slaughter date. Well, at least the adolescent would last for a while longer; he hadn't looked like he'd hit his growth spurt yet. More meat to sell then.

"I've got my options open," Will said before Z'ril came back, though hearing the nymph laugh half-way through Kyle's talk had been a bit of a shocker in itself. Huh. Looked like the nymph was finally finished the transformation from a person that didn't want to exist to one who'd found some joy in the world. Though Will was wondering about the 'lucky' comment considering how many times Z'ril had told him how 'only female nymphs' did that sort of thing. Later, he'd see who was the one with the false information. Though considering how little time Z'ril had got to spend with his own kind without being told he didn't deserve to live made the half-nymph's information look possibly incorrect ... especially since Z'ril himself had admitted to wanting to drown Will more than once, and not always with a joking tone. Will stood to the side and snickered as Z'ril got all that darn hair cut, remembering more than one instance where the nymph and he had been sleeping together only to wake up with all those lovely locks smothering his bearded face. Really not the experience he wanted to repeat. But, of course, Z'ril pulled him away before he could grab the (valuable) container full of nymph hair and out into the crowd once more.

Will eventually got kind-of used to being the minority species in the crowd, letting Z'ril pull him along to all sorts of groups and creatures of varying human-like appearances, the nymph giving similar 'oh hey here's the captain I was talking about' to a few of them, Will eventually inquiring at the bit of paint the nymph had gotten decorated on his neck due to the dark stripe-like pattern used that reminded him of something, and soon found himself at a stall where a pair of werehyenas were painting some little kids of varying race. While Z'ril was distracted by the kids, Will got one arm painted, acting interested in the design while conveying to the female were (who was dressed quite like an Arabic woman, cloth covering most of her obviously not-human body, though she had her hood and face-shroud off considering the open company) where a rather dubious business had a youngster of her species.

William wasn't sure from her unchanging small smile whether this type of species cared for the young enough to go out of their way for a child that wasn't theirs, but the pirate thought he might as well give the brothers good reason to miss the meeting planned for tomorrow. A break-in and stolen 'merchandise' might just do it. If not, he'd still get Z'ril appraised and see what sort of offer folks were willing to pay for nymph flesh. Didn't mean he had to accept or decline; it was all up to him after all. In the mean time, he got a neat little paint job on his arm and continued wandering around the booths with Z'ril tugging him along, Will asking a merman eventually about leviathans and learned quite a bit that reinforced the truth to Kyle's words.

Apparently, the large mammal-ish leviathans (as the merman was quite avid the large creatures were more akin to things or warm blood instead of cold, and remembering the black blood flowing William figured it was possible) birthed their young in warm waters along sheer cliffaces. The young would wean off of their mother's milk and take to climbing those sheer cliffs with their strong claws to eat seagulls and other birds and eggs for high protein. Only the best of the young would survive the cliff-life to learn to swim properly without their parent's aide once grown large enough, and steadily gain stamina by venturing out further and further to the ocean after fish and other food. This brought to William's mind the encounter he and Z'ril had experienced, and he could only nod. Once the young were strong enough, they migrated with their very hungry parents to the deeper ocean, the older leviathans starving themselves as the young grew do to the lack of proper food sources for the larger creatures. The larger leviathans feeding upon krackens, whales, giant squid, and other proper mealstuff for predators their size.

Will decided the only price he would accept the entire king's ransom to go out onto the ocean full of hungry leviathans without Z'ril to at least try talking then into knowing a ship full of little snacks was not proper food. Though, as twilight turned into deeper night, Will was looking forward to going back to their inn and celebrating so many possibly hire-ons with a proper bottle of rum. "Come on, you've dragged me around enough for one day," the man said as Z'ril protested, clearly having another thing or ten to pull him off to see. "Look Zee, I've still got the Seacow to sell and another skip to buy. I can't do all that if you keep me up until god knows when," the pirate chuckled, dragging the nymph back out of 'fairyland' and back towards the more 'normal' world outside. Soon, Will was sitting himself down at the bar, ordering himself a drink and leaving the nymph to his own devices. Will wanted a nice buzz before heading to bed the crash, seeing as he'd gone through this long day on around three or four hours of sleep, considering he'd sailed the ship on the night shift the night before.

Z'ril was more than excited to show William all the different races and have him talk to them, the different men and women more than happy to give him the information he was looking for. When they met the werehyenas Z'ril was carefully distracted by some of the younger ones as William got his art done and told the woman about the boy. These people cared a great deal for their young, even if they were not their own, if only for the fact that strong species had large numbers. The rest of the day was spent with a lot of running around and Z'ril seeming to actually act like a normal Nymph for one. He joked and teased, a lot of focus switching between William and the few friends he had made, and by the time William said it was time for them to go Z'ril was starting to feel a little weary for having been out so much.

Z'ril bid the people they were talking to good bye and chuckled as William decided it was his turn to do the tugging. "I am sure you can sell the Seacow for a decent enough price." Z'ril shrugged and followed after William, waving good by to Kyle as they went, and then they were heading back to the Inn. Z'ril left William to go drink and instead he laid down on his bed and let all the minute tension leave him. Z'ril was laying there for a long while, just staring at the far wall, before he heard a wrapping on the door. Z'ril sat up, slightly confused, and then pulled on his hat before opening the door. Kyler stood on the other side, a smile on his face, and came in without even asking. "You don't have much… do you?" Z'ril blinked and looked up at the other before closing the door.

"No I don't. I figure he's gonna get an offer he can't refuse, one to get him a nice ship, and then I'll be off. I am not crew, I am a possession, so no need to have anything." Kyle sat on Williams bed and Z'ril sat on his own "I should have known better really, to sleep with him that is, but something about him just drew me in." Z'ril leaned back and sighed as Kyle shook his head "You could just leave… I am sure nothing would happen-" Z'ril shook his head "He carries my life line, the one thing keeping me currently bound to the world, if it leaves his posestion or I leave then… no one will want me around at that point. You know the drive is ten times worse for human born nymphs." Kyle sighed heavily and shook his head.

"You could try? He's going to sell you one day, when money is tight, if he doesn’t sell you now. You could put all your trust in him and then he will betray it. He's a pirate-"

"He was my only hope." Z'ril said quickly and Kyle went silent. "I spent fifty years on an island alone, wasting away, I saw nothing but darkness and endless ocean. I had no one to talk to and I was starting to become bitter, cruel, I could feel it eating away at me like a sickness. I was going black from the inside out and I didn't want to… I couldn’t let myself become a monster. I killed six men in their sleep because I thought they were going to ruin my home. The first thing I did was threaten him… Kyle I was slipping fast and had nothing to hold on to. I gave myself an ultimatum, find someone to get me off the island…. Or end it." Kyle stared at Z'ril for a moment.

"I just needed out. I gave myself three years and I had just a week left when William stumbled over to my waters. My thin ice was breaking and he was the man fool enough to walk unwillingly by as I reached for someone to save me. I threatened him, forced him to take me with him, and at every turn I have been nothing but trouble in his eyes. A walking disaster. He has no idea how much he actually saved me when he showed up and he never will. He save my life and in turn I must let him do with it as he pleases." Kyle hung his head and ran a hand through his hair "Why would you do that? Did no one ever tell you what was right and wrong? You should have just wai-" Z'ril shook his head.

"Before William the last person I actually spoke to was me screaming for my father as he was torn apart before my eyes. It was the lucky kindness of a few water spirits and the ocean herself that saved me that day but it was the cruelness of fate that let me live. I couldn't wait Kyle, I just couldn't, fifty years was long enough to be alone. If anything… at least I won't be alone anymore." Kyle hung his head "Your too good a kid for this-" Z'ril shook his head and chuckled. "Six people, in their sleep, for no reason at all. One of them woke up to and he screamed, and screamed, and SCREAMED, until I fill his lungs with water and he could not scream anymore. I am not a good person Kyle, I still have that in me, that beast that swims just beneath the surface. That's why I am afraid of that lust…because I could let it out and it could be a beast that hungers for more than just sex but for life it's self. Thank you for your kindness Kyle but all of this is left to William… Obviously I can't even be trusted to make my own decisions." Kyle stood with a frustrated sigh.

"The choice is obvious though! You just get up and run! This is a good place Z'ril! People could help you and care for you." Z'ril stood and shook his head "Thank you for the talk Kyle. I am sure that William will be glad to have you on his ship." Z'ril stood and went to open the door only to have Kyle stop him "Don't do this Z'ril, you don't need to, you won't hurt anyone…. I'll show you." Z'ril went to jerk away only to be grabbed by Kyle and shoved onto the bed. When faced in a situation like this Z'ril could do nothing. He had no water to use, he was already weak from being up for a short while, and when it came to strength Kyle out won Z'ril even on a good day.
"Get off of me!" Z'ril struggled under Kyle's grasp and tried to keep his arms from being pulled above his head. Kyle gripped Z'rils chin roughly "Don't fight me. It's just me and you. This is for your own good… your captain won't even know what happened and after this you can leave. You can stay in the port and get better!" Kyle smashed his lips to Z'rils and the Nymph sunk his teeth into the others lip. Kyle gripped his wrists harder as Z'ril jerked around and he glared down at Z'ril "Stop fighting me!" Z'ril spit in Kyles face at that, and received a slap before the struggle started again. Z'ril kicked, shouted, and did the best he could to get away from Kyle but two inhumans pinned against one another led to a fight much the same in outcome if they had the same strength.

Z'ril felt more panicked as his pants were torn and he felt his heart start racing. Around Williams neck the pendant started getting warmer and shaking, the color turning red, until it read the point that it almost burned when touched.

William was on his second glass and flirting with the busty female server who was gathering a few pints of beer for a table of three when he felt the pendant start to shake and feel warm against his chest. The man pulled it out to get a better look at the crystal-shaped vial, only to see it a shocking red before it got too hot to hold in-hand, falling hot and shaky against his shirt as he stood from the bar an hurried up towards his room, only to hear the hints of commotion. "********--" he cursed, bursting in one the scene and drawing his sword. "--b*****d." The metallic ring of the weapon drawn didn't seem to even penetrate the canopy of noise as the familiar man was on top of Z'ril, clearly busy. Well, time to get his attention.

[Um, whited-out violence. Yeah. Warned you, bro.] The pirate sauntered in and grabbed the fairy by the neck before shoving his sword up the rather convenient hole already present and easy to see as Kyle had gotten his pants down. His iron sword side easily upwards, slicing first through the tender skin and then upwards into Kyle's guts. Nonhuman or not, that had to hurt and feel rather unpleasant. "Hullo Kyle," William said with only the slightest of slurs, yanking the fairy off of Z'ril while the large fairy was likely seized with pain and surprise, "Now I don't think I need to tell you again just how unpleasant it is to have something shoved up your a** without permission, yea? So do be polite and keep your sword out of Z'ril's a**. Otherwise," The pirate shoved his blade deeper, right up to where the point likely hit the fairy's pelvic bone, "you'll have me to ******** around with. Savy?" Will waited for some sort of reply, be it a cry of pain or curse or groveling before continuing. Never letting go of his tight and rough-skinned grip on the other's neck, while his sword largely kept the fairy in place. "Now, get the ******** out before your s**t and blood stink up my room."

William unsheathed his sword from the impromptu fleshy sheath before shoving the fairy towards the open door with nothing but his shirt on. The slightly-intoxicated pirate waited a moment, a small smile on his face and sword coated in blood and intestinal sludge. His posture was relaxed, loose, ready to slice at the fairy should he try anything unwise while Will looked quite odd with that little smile after what he'd just done. As if he'd given the fairy a slap on the wrist instead of near-impalement. "A guy can't even have ten minutes to get good and properly drunk without you getting yourself nearly raped," he sighed, eyes on Kyle. Even though the fairy had nearly gone a full day on his own without anything happening. Will felt a slight buzz, more from the adrenaline than the rum, and his sword as steady as a seagull gliding on the sea breeze. "Really Zee, I already told you about sailors, didn't I? Land or see, we think with our dicks."

((Bah, short :C Wanted to leave the option open for more fighty things if you wanted to do so, though xD))

Kyle had not managed to get Z'ril out of his torn pants, the man kicking and shouting, but had managed to get himself completely down to nothing but a shirt. He now had Z'ril by the throat, the blond was seriously starting to think it was some kind of kink for people, when suddenly Kyle shouted in pain. Z'ril gasped slightly as Kyles hold on his neck loosened and Z'ril stared up at William when he yanked the fairy off of him. This wouldn’t kill the man, he would be fine in a week, but it obviously hurt. Kyle couldn’t form words as he was moved around, the sword pressing into his pelvic bone, and his eyes grew wider as he was warned about messing with Z'ril.

Said blond Nymph just stayed on the bed, watching and not making a single move to even remotely help the man that William had impaled and then Williams sword was removed to the sound of Kyles shout and he was being shoved out of the room. Z'ril grabbed the bastards clothes and threw them at him where he laid on the ground trying to come back to himself. Z'ril slammed the door closed, Kyle left groaning on the ground and bleeding but relatively unharmed compared to what could have happened. Z'ril looked up at William, staring at him in slight disbelief and a small chuckle left him as he battled with himself.

He tried to argue that what the other just did wasn't attractive, he tried to argue that Williams unnerving calm didn't turn him on, and he fought against himself about the morals of trying anything when Kyle lay possibly bleeding out on the floor outside. Z'ril battled with himself for what seemed like forever but was only really only a second or two before he sighed "You have a bad habit of saving me Captain. Keep that up and I will think you actually want me around." Z'ril walked over to William slowly and then carefully grabbed onto the others hand over the hilt of the sword, worming his fingers in and loosening the grip.

"Time to put the sword down though Captain…" Still warring with himself on what to do, if he should be getting this close, and then Z'ril pressed closer. It shouldn’t attract him that this man just stabbed someone, shouldn’t make him want to jump the other that he had come to his rescue, but with William standing there and looking every bit the pirate captain he was Z'ril just couldn’t help it. The adrenalin from fighting Kyle off and then the sudden rush from his head straight to crotch certainly made Z'ril feel that he needed to give William a very nice thank you. Z'ril numbly heard the sword hits the ground as he all but trapped William in a kiss and pushed him back over toward the bed. He ignored the pounding from Kyle on the door as he pushed William back and straddled his hips.

At this point Z'ril could only think about getting into Williams pants and seeing as the captain was a relative horn dog it didn't seem to hard. The pounding on the door that went on for quite a while didn't really bother Z'ril as he found himself on his back with an only slightly tipsy captain between his legs. It was a too familiar thing for Z'ril but when they both finally calmed down and the banging was gone Z'ril was feeling rather good about his decision… if only for the fact that it meant he could actually sleep.

((Not the last you will see of Kyle while they are in port but I figured he was to injured to fight back and well... The oddest things about William turn Z'ril on so I figured stabbing a guy for him seems like something that would get the little Nymph hot and bothered... His morals are quickly flying out the window thanks to Captain sexy XD))

((Pffffff xD Point 1 for Captain Sexy! 0 Points for Determined Fairy. Can't wait to see how he retaliates >D Gotta love dem horny nymphs~ ))

William just smiled at Z'ril's chuckle and clear disbelief. What, never seen a man impaled before? Oh, it's great fun at ship parties, and the sharks love it. Why once, he saw a guy stabbed through with one hell of a wide sword before getting tossed down to the sea, to either die from rapid bloodloss, drown, or be eaten by hungry sharks. Or all three. Will tilted his head at the nymph with a slight raise of the eyebrow as the nymph spoke up about saving him, barely noting the other worming his sword out of his hand.

"I try to take good care of possessions while they're mine," he said as way of explanation. Besides, who new what diseases that fairy might have? Good thing the guy had just gotten one free a**l check-up. Plus with Z'ril looking so damned perky, it would've been a shame to let the nymph's nice day end with him getting raped. Well, these are the excuses William gave himself after the fact. He'd done it more out of reflex than thinking about it, really. When one was a captain, punishment were best delt swiftly. William blinked as the other mentioned his sword, and he glanced at it, frowning. Well ... he did want to clean it first--

But then the nymph was quite close against him, and then kissing him, and Will forgot about that sword altogether, instead thinking quite more about dirtying another 'sword' of his. The pounding on the door quickly turned into nothing more than ignorable background noise as Will quite willingly let Z'ril push him down to the bed and soon let the pirate impale the nymph in a far more fun sort of way. By the time they were done William was feeling quite sated. He lay close to the nymph, fingers stroking through the other's shorter blond hair as he hummed a little tune while dosing off. Well, the tune Z'ril had sung once, but William soon devolved to snoring.

By the time morning rolled around, Will felt a light headache pounding between his temples but had something very warm cuddled close to his chest. The pirate sat up with a yawn, ignoring any protests that might come from the nymph before standing up and grimacing at the dried blood on his sword that had been left on the ground. "Get your a** up, Z'ril," he yawned, for once the earlier riser. The pirate was pretty good at getting up early when there was work to be done, and possible money to be made. "We've got a merchant to see. Time to get you properly appraised to see how much your nymph butt is worth on the usual black market revenue." The man said this as casually as he did anything else, going to the dresser to get some clothes on.

Z'ril slept well that night and was still asleep when William woke up and dislodged him from his comfortable position. The blond rolled over, groaning, and flipped the other man off. "Screw you… why am I the one that feels like I drank to much?" Z'ril groaned and then sat up, sheets pooling around his bare waist, and he watched William start cleaning off his sword… an no not the one attached to his body. "Let's hope no one gets to pissed about the blood in the hall eh?" Z'ril got out of the bed and grabbed some clothes to put on before following William out. "You know some people would find it disturbing if you talked about selling them like you do with me… I guess I just got used to it." Z'ril decided to ignore how bad it stung every time the other seemed so nonchalant about it.

Z'ril followed the other carefully to where they would be meeting these people and then sat down at the bar beside William. He sighed and sat there, staring down at his hands, and hung his head. Z'ril saw the wood of the ship in the bar, his mind going back to talking with Bull and laughing with him, he remembered the times he would hear Williams laugh break through their conversation. Z'ril remembered teaching Bull how to say his name, the man struggling every step of the way, and steering the ship.

He remembered the feel of the wood beneath his hands, the sun on his back , as he climbed the rigging and did as he was instructed. The feeling of the sheets beneath his back as he exhausted himself with William and then the feeling of all but jumping onto the other man from the rigging and the startled laughs it brought. He remembered the stinging conversations about what William would do with all the money he would get from selling Z'ril and the ship, all the crew he wanted to hire. Z'ril stared down at the wood and he silently remembered pulling the pendant from around Williams neck and trying to leave with it. The sound of the others voice calling his name correctly and then those fingers pulling the pendant from his own.

Just yesterday he had grabbed this mans hand and took him somewhere he shouldn’t have been, took him to a place few humans went, and Z'ril had smiled. He didn't know why he kept smiling, he shouldn’t be, but as he crossed his arms on the bar and stared down at the wood he still smiled. Even with all the dark the past week had been the most joy Z'ril had felt… ever. He wasn't being beat or cursed and he had made a good friend who was rather sad to see him go. Z'ril bit his lip roughly as he felt the burn in the back of his throat, still smiling, and he leaned back from the bar. Just one week of joy.. Z'ril could live with that. He had seen enough and he wouldn’t last long now, he knew about the rumors here. He didn't need to see the world, not like he had imagined he would one day, there wasn't much in the world for broken people.

The weak were easily ruined and while Z'ril wasn't weak physically in this cruel world his morals made him so. Z'ril closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he heard the voices asking about him and he blocked the out for a moment. He remembered William saving him, pulling Kyle off, and then the feel of the others hands. Nothing but empty touches, there was nothing ever there, and no matter how much Z'ril wished there was so that he wouldn’t have to go he knew there wasn't a chance. William was a captain, a pirate, he searched for money not lost Orphans who just wanted a new home. Z'ril turned around in his seat and carefully stood as they headed to a darker corner to speak.

Z'ril let them poke and prod at him and when asked any kind of question he would smile and answer because that's what he did. He kept a strong face and he smiled, he pushed down the sick black and the sad blue and he smiled, the moments I bubbled over were brief and he was always able to push it back down. Z'ril didn't even flinch at a few rather invading touches and when the prodding was done he stayed where he was. Apparently these men were rather eager to pay a heavy price as logn as William didn't care about what they did with him. "He doesn't. Captain William is no fool, he knows what you people really do with… creatures like me." It was the first time Z'ril had referred to himself as a person. "Don't play him… or you'll find yourselves much worse than dead. I know you can offer higher than what you are." Z'ril crossed his arms, not looking at the men, and when one got angry with him Z'ril finally cast his gaze to the man.

"I'll speak how I please at the moment. Your selling me for meat… all I am is a body so what is the point of keeping my mouth shut? You don't want to bruise the merchandise do you." The small amount of mirth in Z'rils eyes easily hid how sick he felt. He had never thought it would be so easy to talk about something like this. Z'ril looked away, staring at a far wall, and swallowed quickly. He wanted to scream, he wanted to run, but he didn't want to cause trouble and most of all… he didn't want to look weak. It was better to go to the chopping block with your head held high then to go cowering like a dog. The men slid their offered amount over to William, a bulky man having brought it in, and Z'ril just didn't look.

The pendant around Williams neck darkened to colors deeper than the ocean they had just been of and seemed to freeze. Z'ril rest a hand on his own neck, touching the henna there, and he discreetly remembered when William had gotten his. The patterns matched, swirl for swirl, Z'ril thought it was an apt meaphor. At least him dying would have more meaning… William could get his old ship back and continue on his life. Z'ril hung his head as he saw the other pull the pendant out of his shirt. Looks like Z'ril would finally get to save William again… he owed him that much and more. Z'ril stared at the pendant, his heart aching painfully, and he just stood there. He had to be quite, not say a word, he had to let this happen. He had to do it, he had to do it, he HAD to do it but oh god he didn't want to. He wanted to be back on the ship. He wanted to be like before where William wouldn’t have to sell him and Z'ril was just going to a new lake.

Z'ril wanted to stay in the lake near the port, see William when he came back around and laugh, he wanted to visit Bull again but at the same time Z'ril wanted to be out on the ocean again, to watch the spirits drift by and listen to Bulls old dirty songs. Z'ril wanted to take back what he had done and as he stood there he didn't realize his hands had started shaking. He swallowed thickly then stared back at the far wall, face blank, because he could cry later. He could sob when he waited to be cut up, when death was closer, for now he needed to act like it was alright. William wouldn’t feel guilty about this so Z'ril didn't need to feel betrayed. There was nothing for him with William, nothing but the Seacow and Bull, and even though that was more than Z'ril had ever had he could give it up.

He had to, he kept telling himself, he HAD to.

((I love it when you write me a beautiful wall like this, friend~ >V It's just so wonderful! The more there is for me to love~))

William chuckled at Z'ril's comment as if it was funny, and walked the nymph to the bar and sat down together as they waited. He had a simple beer, sipping as they sat and turned when the brothers finally arrived. They looked more than a little ruffled, and their burly bodyguard had a bandage on one arm which looked quite like something had taken a very large bite out of him while being bruised in other places. The guard waited outside while the brothers came in, and deliberations started. William spoke with the Ferret of a man most of the time, the snappy Weasel only chiming in to question one thing or another ... but it didn't take long to get the talking done once a tiny bit of arguing over Z'ril's 'human-ish' appearance had been settled, and how that might diminish the price. The pirate had struggled not to laugh in their faces at that; they weren't buying sex slaves, they were buying meat, though the brothers likely didn't know he knew that.

The pirate went through the motions of bartering over goods, though out of the corner of his eye he glanced from time to time at Z'ril, mildly surprised how quiet the nymph was being, how good and docile despite the situation. As they all moved to a more private space of the bar, the nymph's attitude just confused William even more. Was the nymph that had been so happy the day before really so content to let himself die like this? The half-human's talk showed he clearly knew the situation and what was going to happen to him, and yet as final negotiations were reached and the gorilla of a man was motioned in with a large bag of gold that was carefully counted out to the last coin before being handed his way, Will felt a certain sense of annoyance growing inside of himself. The pendant lay heavy and cold in his hand as he held it, almost heaver than the large amount of gold he'd been handed. William out the bag down, taking out one coin and looking it over as if to make sure the currency was legit while thinking more about Z'ril. The god damned nymph was clearly hiding his real feelings as best he could, though the two vultures waiting for him to accept the offer were completely oblivious or just plain didn't care.

The pirate frowned, realizing just what was so annoying about this. Z'ril was still clearly trying to be noble and moral in some convoluted way, he was sure of it now. Nobly going forward to his death to repay whatever he owed the pirate or something like that. Now that just made William's insides twitch. Looking a horrible butchering death in the face, and the nymph was still trying to be somehow morally correct, when there was no true moral correctness to the world.

The amount of gold in his hands was more than enough to set an one man up for a good life if he wanted it. But William didn't. He'd lived through scrapping, stealing, and fighting his way every step forward without a moment of asking for mercy from this merciless life, and he'd be damned if such a misdirected act of self-sacrifice gave him this much gold. William put the pendent back where it belonged: hidden behind his shirt. Then he handed the heavy gold sack back to the baffled gorilla. That gold had been more than ample a price to put on any one nymph in the world, but William sighed and shook his head as if the brothers were woefully underpaying him. "I'm sorry gentlemen, but this just won't do. I could make half this much selling my nymph each night to men and women, and very quickly make myself rich. Why should I waste such good flesh on the food market when this milk cow really serves his purpose best alive? Really, thank you for the offer, but I simply must refuse." The pirate shrugged with a sigh, while the two brothers were quickly looking very, very angry. They'd heard of nymph's healing abilities and figured they could cut out specific organs and let them grow back over a long course of time, giving them a creature to slaughter infinitely. After waking that morning to find one guard half-mauled and the other not much better with their wereheyna gone, this deal had been of high interest to them, but now ...

"Come along," Will said to Z'ril, only for the gorilla of a man to get in their way. The pirate raised an eyebrow as the Weasel began talking, but drew his sword as quick as a blink and the guerrilla was screaming, guts falling out of the very neat cut made on his abdomen and the Ferret bowled-over as Will pulled Z'ril along with him. The nymph's hand was held tightly in Will's free hand, while his sword was in the other, once again bloody. The pirate didn't slow at all, bolting very quickly with Z'ril and aiming to avoid any real witnesses. The bar had been dark, he hadn't given the weasels the same name he'd used at the inn, and the only folks that had actually paid attention to Will had been the brothers and their guard. Less-than-reliable witnesses all, the guard likely to be dead on the 'morrow anyway with a wound like that, unless he got it sown up very quickly.

"We were with Bull playing cards," the pirate said as they eventually stopped in a narrow alleyway far from the scene of the crime, Will panted and grinning as if potential murders and murder charges were just a bit of fun avoiding instead of something to worry about. "While that happened. We weren't really there, you get it? Now we just have to find that old man and have him back us up ... Might want to change your hair color while we're at it; the potions for that are still on the ship, I'm sure." He leaned against the bricked wall and laughed a bit, shaking his head. "Did you see the looks on their faces? See, Zee ... This is living. Really living. On the edge." Will smiled, panting and looking around the rubbish on the floor of the alleyway to wipe his blade clean while the blood was still wet. "Though, I imagine selling you anyone here will be out of the question at this point. No use for it now. Best we can do is plan carefully. Sell the ship, find a new, faster one. More masts, but perhaps the same size. No hope buying anything much bigger than the Seacow now," he went on as if such a dramatic change in fortune was a usual thing for him.

The moment Z'ril heard William decline he almost fell over in relief. Z'ril snapped his head in the others direction and stared at him, watching him turn down the money and put the pendant on, and he could only blink. Z'ril felt his head spin and then suddenly he was being yanked back and then forward again and blood was splattering on the back of his legs as the squelching thump of organs hitting the ground assaulted his ears. Z'ril glanced back as he was pulled to running speed and saw the big man on the ground trying to pull his insides back inside his body before one of the brothers pulled out a hidden gun and shot him in the head. Z'ril's eyes went wide, his stomach dropping low, and then they were bursting out into the sun instead of the now noise filled bar.

Dirt stuck to the blood on the back of Z'ril's legs and Williams blade dripped as they ran as fast as they could. Z'ril heard the others voice and then they were ducking into an ally and Z'ril was collapsing against the wall as he sucked air into his lungs and stared up at William as he laughed. Z'ril didn't know what to say, or do, he didn't know what to even think as the other spoke and he jerked forward and cut the others laugh off with his lips against his. He gripped Williams shirt tight, his hands twisting the fabric, as he tried to kiss the air back out of the man's lungs. It wasn't the smoothest kiss that was for sure, mainly adrenaline from what just happened and teeth, but it served its purpose. Z'ril pulled away but still pressed William against the wall.

Z'ril was just far enough away that he could look the other in the eyes but close enough that their lips were almost brushing together. "You have to stop saving me." Z'ril gave the other a shove and then stepped back "I mean it William. Stop. It's already hard enough don't make it harder on me. I refuse to go down screaming and crying and if you keep SAVING ME then I won't be able to hold out. Is that what you want to see when you hand me over? You want me to cry and fight back? Beg for my life? William I have no life to beg for! I can't keep my head held high while going down if I actually have something to live for so stop it… just stop." Z'ril leaned back against the wall, shaking, and felt the tears start rolling down his cheeks.

"Dammnit… dammnit! Why couldn’t you just sell me! Get rid of me finally so I can stop… so we can stop this ******** game. No more cat and mouse, it makes me sick." Z'ril didn't know what to do as he opened his eyes and stared at William, his gaze almost hungry. This was Z'rils confusion, his irritation, William kept saving him from everything and it was getting harder and harder to toss his life away when this man kept building on the hope Z'ril was trying to crush. He wanted to go down head held high, he wanted to be able to say he went out with pride and didn't cry, but William made it harder and harder with each saving grace. Z'ril felt the lust bite at his senses and something else, the darker bit that was something Z'ril hated, and he couldn’t stop himself from jerking forward and kissign the other again.

This time Z'ril grabbed him by the throat, his other hand grabbing the other sword hand, and he pressed the blade to his side. "I'm losing my sanity here William. It's a battle every day because there's something sick inside me. Your making it stronger day by day." Z'ril spoke against the other males lips. "I should be terrified by you, I should be running, I should have felt sick at hearing that bastards intestines hit the ground but every time you hurt someone… the red that coats your sword drives me mad…" Z'ril pressed the blade firmer. "You giving me something to live for William. Something I am not sure I can handle. I don't think the outcome would be good for either of us but "I" can't make it stop." Z'ril barely had any pressure on Williams throat.

His eyes were darker than usual, not quite the bright, bright, blue and instead a darker color. It boiled there and Z'ril pressed forward to seal his lips over Williams in another heated kiss that was gentle in a rough kind of way. An "I hate you but thank you" kind of kiss that boiled with so much contradiction that just the kiss it's self showed the turmoil. William was giving him life, a life that was probably meant from the beginning, and Z'ril wasn't sure he could handle it. He was a dark soul in light wrapping and his wrapping was starting to tear.

((You flatter me ♥. Really I am glad you don't find my incessant babble for this character irritating. He is something so new for me and I am enjoying ******** him up. XD I always love when you reply in kind to my walls of wonderful text. Also I blame Hannibal for what Z'ril turned into. >3> ))

The pirate was smothered mid-laugh, the nymph pressing against him while Will felt quite surprised. Twice in one day? Well, twice in less than twenty four hours. Will was a tad breathless after the rough kiss Z'ril used to shut him up, the pirate giving a grin at the nymph as the other pulled back, though the shove was a bit unexpected considering the mood. Will raised an eyebrow as Z'ril got all serious on him, actually complaining about being saved. Now the pirate leaned against the wall the nymph had shoved him against, watching the wet tears travel down Z'ril's cheeks even as the other had a lusty look in his eyes when he opened them again. Will listened carefully, wondering what was going on in the nymph's head even as events unfolded.

"You know, when you say stop doing something while pressing against me like that sends a lot of mixed messages," he said without much sarcasm, though it wasn't too much of a complaint either. The pirate accepted the rough conflicted kiss with just as much passion as he usually did, sword pressing rather uncomfortable and hand at his throat and all. "'You'?" he asked as he pulled back for breath, free hand moving up to rest on the nymph's cheek. He looked at to the other's eyes, thinking the darker shade of blue do to the darkness of the alleyway instead of possibly something else. The pirate kissed Z'ril long and hard, turning so it was the nymph pressed against the wall before pulling back with a grin. His hand moved to the other's neck, lightly touching the markings there. "You said I can do what I will you you; so I am. I'm growing to enjoy having a free lay buddy, even if your breasts really leave a lot to be wanting. And you're no slouch when it comes to keeping things ship shape. Why waste all that work teaching you just to sell you at the first port? This was a good way to price you for future reference, is all."

Will moved to pull the other's grip from his throat, giving one more body-pressing kiss before pulling away and sheathing his sword, moving to the mouth of the alleyway to see if anyone was hanging around in sight. "If I ever really intend to sell you, the transaction won't take place in a bar with two weasels. I do have a bit more class than that. Besides, for a guy you avoided getting butchered, you're surprisingly grouchy about it. Unless, of course, you'd rather waltz on back to those weasels and hand yourself over to them for free. 'Cause it'll be a cold day in hell when they want to deal with me again," the pirate chuckled, focusing on making a mental map back to their inn. "Now come along, I'd rather not linger out in the open when we have a perfectly nice room to get back to." As tempting as it was to just take the nymph right there, Will was rather interested in preserving his skin as well. And getting caught by any local constables ******** in an alleyway would just be asking for trouble. Well, more trouble than the pirate wanted to deal with anyway.

Z'ril wasn't surprised when William moved them around so it was Z'ril who was pressed against the wall instead. Although Z'ril was honestly surprised by what the other said. He raised an eyebrow, clearly in disbelief, and his grip loosened just a bit on Williams throat. Williams fingers ran along the markings on Z'rils neck, a dark design with a bruise underneath, and he couldn’t stop the shiver that ran up his spine at the feeling. The nymph stared up at the pirate and willingly relinquished his hold on Williams throat. Z'ril's hands fell to his side for only a moment before they were helping him press William closer as he kissed him. When William pulled away Z'ril watched him carefully, that bloody sword silently being put away, and he felt a small thrill run up his spine as he followed the other to the mouth of the ally.

"You talk big… I think you like me. Admit it, it's the blond hair right?" Z'ril teased before following the other out of the ally way. "I thought you liked to live dangerously. I'm a little disappointed… ally sex while being hunted down is dangerous." Z'ril chuckled, still not feeling quite right, but he figured a good romp with the captain would get that out of him. "You know we could fix the boobs thing rather easily… I am sure some pretty young whore wouldn't mind joining in… some women have a strange kink for seeing two men go at it." Z'ril shrugged but figured that wasn't something they should be drawing attention to at the moment.

When they made it back to the Inn Z'ril stopped, got a bottle of something strong to share, and then drug William up stairs. "To early to be sellin' the ship captain and I'm feeling a bit more perky than usual." Z'ril held up the rum "Plus I have this" temptation of a good lay and good rum would be too much, Z'ril knew this, and he let it show that he knew. No shame in already having figured out what gets the good captain a ticking. An hour later find them both still mid romp, as usual for the two of them, when suddenly the door to their room bursts open. A far too familiar face grabs Z'ril from his position astride William. Thankfully the assailant is kind enough to simultaneously wrap Z'ril in a coat. Z'ril stumbled hand clawing at the arm around his throat.

"The ********! Get of-" Z'ril gasped and clawed at the arm again and noticed that the other was holding a pistol aimed right at Williams chest. Z'ril felt all the breath leave his lung and Kyle chuckled "I see you finally saw the pistol… I will shoot him Z'ril if you don't come quietly… this is for your own good." Z'ril stared at the pistol only and then he looked to William, trying to tell him to ******** MOVE on his mark with only his eyes. Z'ril went slightly limp and released his hold on the others arm, letting him think he had won in some way, and just as Kyle moved back Z'ril shove his body back, biting the others arm hard enough to draw blood before knocking Kyle's arm so that he would miss if he shot at William.

Z'ril stumbled forward when he was released and fell to the ground, his ankle grabbed by a cursing Kyle. Z'ril just got his hand around the hilt of William sword before he was yanked backward and the blade came out of the sheath with a metallic shing. Z'ril turned and sunk the blade into Kyle's arm so that he would let go. The male cursed then aimed the gun at Z'ril who rolled and then jumped up. Kyle grabbed him again, flinging him out into the hall and then send him tumbling down the stairs. "For ******** sake I just want to help ya!" Z'ril was surprised to see that the lower part of the Inn was completely vacant and then he stumbled up to his feet and glared at Kyle. "I don't need help! And certain not the help your offering me you sadistic b*****d!" Kyle jerked forward and Z'ril stumbled back, hitting a table, and then they were at each other.

There was a lot of movement and then a bang and everything stopped. Kyle had a blade run clear through him and as he fell Z'ril pressed a hand to his chest before falling as well. He coughed heavily into his hand, blood filling his right lung. If he was human it would kill him but most likely he would just be laid up for a few days. Of course William wouldn’t know that. Most people die from being shot in the chest.

((I would say now it's captain sexy: 2. Kyle the fairy: 0 ))

At the mouth of the alleyway William blinked and had to think a second on his response before scoffing as he walked along as cool as a cucumber. As if he and Z'ril hadn't just fled the scene of a crime. "I am partial to blonds. But living dangerously and living stupidly are two very different things. Let me give you a hint: one has a much higher chance of ending up with you dead sooner rather than later," he drawled, but soon they were back at the inn and Z'ril was clearly intending the next few hours to be quite busy indeed. The pirate wasn't complaining as the nymph clearly buttered him up (un-sobered him is more like) and soon with the firey taste of expensive rum on his tongue the pirate was going at it with the nymph. Ships selling could wait, but clearly Z'ril was in no mood to go without his fix right now. William had a swing of rum before Z'ril was all but ripping his pants off to get him into bed, pressing close and trying to discreetly get them both out of their clothes before Will chuckled and put the rum down to assist. Really, how could he say no?

So there they were, Z'ril on top and really getting things going when a very unwelcome bit of company appeared. Will snarled out some curse or another at the nymph getting pulled off of him and was half way to sitting up when he spotted the gun. The pirate stilled, glaring at Kyle until Z'ril realized the fairy had a weapon. The pirate lay very still as Kyle spot to Z'ril, eyes going between glaring at Kyle to looking at the nymph. He saw the way Z'ril looked at him, and promptly rolled out of the bed and taking cover as the nymph fought with the fairy. Will kneeled beneath the bed, reaching for the hilt of his sword and pulling (hoping to arm himself) only to hear the sword slip free. With a curse Will grabbed for his pants, pulling them on as the two wrestled and fought their way out of the room and towards the common area of the inn. Will grabbed at his own gun, but by the time he came running and got to see the cloud of gunpowder go up at the pistol shot, both nymph and fairy falling to the ground.

The pirate rushed to Z'ril, seeing the hole in the other's chest and blood coming out of the other's mouth and knew if Z'ril didn't bleed out or drown in his own blood right away he'd likely linger for a few hours before dying one way or another. Because hell, quick healing or not a bullet to the lung wasn't something William had ever seen anybody survive. "Keep on your side," he said, oddly softly as he moved Z'ril so the blood was less likely to leak into nymph's other lung. Then, he gently pat the other's face before standing and turning, facing the fairy. "Now what did I tell ya, Kyle? What did I tell you yesterday?"

The pirate marched over to the impaled fairy, not caring how conscious or mobile the other was as he marched over and took careful aim with his own pistol before pulling the trigger. The shot went right between the fairy's legs, and Will was quite confident the fairy wouldn't be moving without screaming anytime soon. "Quite bluntly, I told you not to ******** with Z'ril. Now you've gone and shot his lung out. Do you know how damn impolite that is?" Will stepped down on Kyle's chest and yanked his blade freet before stabbing the fairy right between the ribs. "Yeah, now do you see how ******** much getting your lung pierced hurts? Now, for the other one." William repeated the process, savagely cutting into the fairy's other lung before he took his sword and tossing it to the side before going back over to the nymph, sure the fairy would not be bothering them anytime soon, if ever again. Will made sure no one ever crossed him twice and lived to tell about it. Though, if the fairy did live, next time he figured how Kyle would like getting his head slowly cut off from his body. Heal that you son of a b***h.

"Don't talk," the pirate said to Z'ril, before carefully helping the other upright. "Keep you hand on the hole," he said with an odd gruffness that didn't sound cold or mad. It sounded almost wet, almost like the man was holding back on feelings of perhaps regret at the thought of loosing Z'ril. Will, just in pants ans Z'ril just wrapped in a jacket, walked and then carried the nymph to the nearest doc. It wasn't that hard once people saw the bleeding Z'ril, all aiming Will to the nearest place. The pirate practically shoved his way to the front of the short line, demanding the old man get Z'ril treatment. Will told the old-ish woman what Z'ril was, just so there was nothing to explain later, and promised her quite a bit of a tip so long as she kept her mouth shut about Z'ril's race and got the bullet out of him, doing whatever she could. Will quickly left, to get the gold and so he could hopefully have an excuse to punch somebody on the way back.

Unfortunately for the pirate feeling between murderous rage and a very cold feeling he didn't want to think about, no douche stepped forward to be stabbed by the slightly-bloody man wearing only pants as he marched back to the still oddly-vacant inn and to his room, grabbing his coin pouch and trying to make himself decent. All Will could think about was Z'ril as the other had choked and coughed on his own blood, and a very sour feeling grew in the captain's stomach. It had been fun while it lasted. What a wasted investment. Those two things were what he told himself, even when 'lost investments' never had him feeling like this. Sleep around with someone long enough and ... he began, trying to tell himself it was just the free sex and physical companionship he would miss. But that odd, conflicted little creature had somehow wormed his way into Will more than the pirate had thought possible.

The thought of Z'ril actually dying genuinely distressed him. He couldn't sit and let the other be buchard, but now it looked like the lust-addicted nymph would end up dead sooner or later anyway. Will marched back towards the doctor's office, not caring for his surroundings as he tried to tell himself to man the ******** up over nothing more than a 'lost investment' when the officers behind him grabbed him when yelling at him to stop yielded no results. Between the murder earlier that day and the possibly-dead fairy and massive amounts of blood at the inn, Will didn't even know what crime he could possibly be wanted for and looked at the two men blankly before they told him he was to be, well arrested. They didn't tell him why, but Will huffed and growled at one of the guards he had some sick friend to go see to pay for the doctor's bill and the two just laughed at him. Hell, like they hadn't heard that one before. One even held out a hand, chuckling that he'd 'take the money to the doctor for him'. <******** no. Will knew these two were more likely to grab and pocket his gold for themselves than actually run errands for a suspected criminal. So he discreetly hid his coin purse and had no choice but to go quietly or look completely guilty. Z'ril was dying anyway. Will figured the nymph would rather he keep himself from croaking too; though the thought of leaving the naive, lusty nymph to die alone had the pirate squirming deep down inside; a soft spot he'd thought had hardened long ago.
