[PRP] Catching Up

[Gwennythe]

Henrietta was frowning and crouching next to the Totodile, 'scolding' him, but not very well.
"Okay!" She nodded a little, then, after a moment of consideration decided not to put the Totodile in his ball; she was sure he wouldn't do it again.
"He's sorry! I think he thought there was a pokémon in there!"

Lovey tilted her head, then took up her post closer to the door, clearly eager to get to the woman's apartment.

Dove shook her head fondly, though she looked at the little pool of water still, as though she wasn't sure what to do about it. When they reached the top and the doors opened, however, she only smiled, then stepped out to lead them toward her apartment. "It'll be okay. The lights are a little startling, especially if he's never seen them before. It'd be kind of funny to find a pokemon in here, hm?" As far as she knew, she was one of the only people in her complex that actually kept and trained so many pokemon, but then again, she didn't know many of them, and she seemed to be the youngest owner in the building thus far.

Lovey padded quickly ahead, stopping at the correct door and waiting impatiently as Dove took her time finding her key.

"Oh man, I bet it'd be a steel type! It'd be awesome!" Henrietta grinned, imagining what kind of pokémon might choose to hide among elevator lights.

She stood up, letting Gummy continue to remain out of his pokéball and the two of them followed Dove and Lovey to the door of the Dove's apartment.
Gummy managed to get a little ahead of his trainer and stood, next to the Eevee, before the door.

Dove laughed softly, tugging her phone out to send a quick text to the desk to let them know about the elevator accident, then unlocked her door, apparently much too slowly for Lovey's taste.

Once the door was opened, the eevee dashed inside, offering a happy, sharp bark to announce their arrival to the two pokemon left out in the room.

Blearily, a little blue eevee opened its eyes from her place on a small pillow upon the hardwood floor, its little tail uncurling from around it as it yawned, then looked curiously, if a bit nervously, at the new human and her pokemon.

The apartment, while luxurious, wasn't too large. Two doors to the bedrooms, one in the back corner of the home, the other off to the right after walking into the main room, could be seen from the entry way, an open kitchen off to the left, a long island bar dividing it from the living space. A wide window, though draped with heavy curtains, would reveal a small balcony, overlooking the city below.

Tiny as she was, another Eevee, apparently, even though she got tired as any baby might, wasn't one to stay in place. She'd, in fact, left her cushion at some point...
Her journey had ended about half way across to the kitchen, where she'd fallen asleep again until hearing her mother bark.
Her ears rose and then, opening first one eye, then the other, and blinking, the little creature turned and 'crawled' like a slow ball of fluff toward the sound.

Hen' was about to remark on the apartment when she found herself looking at Eevee babies and whatever comment she'd had was rather forgotten.
"Dove! There are tiny Loveys!" She exclaimed, as though she thought Dove might not actually have realised there were baby Eevees inside her apartment.

Gummy waddled across the room and found the pillow that Fluffster had abandoned; he immediately sat down.

Lovey was absolutely delighted to see that one of her babies had taken the initiative to explore a bit, though she nosed her daughter somewhat nervously; really, she should have waited until she had returned and could be supervised!

The little blue eevee, at another soft call from its mother, slowly got up and stretched, shivering as a baby might, and tumbled off of the cushion, blinking and righting herself quickly, then dashing--in a rather silly and stumbly way-- over to her mother and sister to join in on the fluffy reunion.

Dove laughed at Henrietta's excitement, smiling brightly. "There are," she agreed, stepping in and closing the door properly before setting her things aside in their proper place. "There's also a tiny Repede, but he's staying with Yuri's friend Flynn now."  

[Gwennythe]

"A tiny Repede?!" Henrietta's mind turned a little too slowly to work out exactly what was meant. "How?! What happened?! They're so cute!"

The little Eevee wagged her tail as her mother and sister joined her and 'barked' happily, trying to tell, without very much detail at all and being rather too fast about it as well as exaggerating, all her 'adventures' since leaving the pillow.

Dove nodded, still smiling; it was hard not to be joyful with the little pokemon running around, though initially, it had startled her almost to the point of tears. "Lovey and Repede are proud parents now...strange as that is," she explained, shaking her head a little.

Lovey lay down in the middle of the floor, completely content to listen to her kit whine and yip about her day, proud of her daughter's courage, which she was quick to relay to the young pokemon. The other little eevee listened closely, though as she finally approached the group, she flopped against her mother's side, snuggling close as she listened to her sister. Her eyes, however, wandered to the two human girls watching them, her head tipped down a bit, timidly.

The pup seemed very pleased as her mother praised her, though the story took on a few rather.. improbable embellishments; it was highly unlikely that half the apartment had been destroyed by a gigantic Tentacruel attack while they'd been out, of course, and even more unlikely that the pup had driven it off by being ferocious and barking at it. Besides, it sounded more like a movie, or a story, that the pup had somehow seen. She'd never seen a Tentacruel, or most any pokémon yet, in all her life...

Gummy, having taken over the cushion, was soon asleep on it.

"Wow! Lovey's a mum?! That's so cool! And Repede?! So they're fire Eevees?! Are they gonna be Flareons?! No, wait, you need a stone for that!" Henrietta pressed her hand to her head when she remembered.

The blue eevee's brow furrowed. That wasn't right...

Lovey, however, continued to listen, very clearly amused with her kit's tale. Waving her fluffy tail, she leaned forward to lick the small eevee's nose. She had done well, and even fixed up their home before she and their girl had returned!

By this point, the blue pup was half asleep again.

"She is! I was really surprised... I didn't even know there were eggs in here, until they all came running out of my room... On Yuri's birthday, actually," she told the younger girl, laughing softly at the speculation. "They might be, one day. That one definitely has the energy for it, I think..." she giggled, pointing to the light brown pup. "This little girl, on the other hand--" She gently reached out, and with Lovey's permission, scooped the little blue eevee into her arms carefully. "--is just sweet and quiet most of the time. And sleepy."

The kit opened it's eyes widely, scared for a moment, but with her mother's assurance, settled into the woman's arms, as small as she could.

"Oh, man; they're so cute! They're both awesome! I bet tiny Repede is amazing too!"

The brown pup looked proud and then blinked as her sister was scooped up.
Her mother was reassuring, and she knew Dove, but she couldn't help but get all excited and 'fearsome' as the two humans 'abducted' the blue Eevee suddenly.
She leapt forward and started yipping loudly at them.

...Loud enough to wake Gummy, perhaps. Asleep or awake, a small spout of water arced from his mouth and happened to splash gently on the loud baby's head. If one were to look at him immediately afterward, however, one would see just a sleeping Totodile on a pillow.

Dove smiled. "They're precious... and yes!" An even brighter smile. "They named the him 'Lambert'... he takes after his mommy, though, even if he is a growlithe," she explained, snuggling the little 'vee.

As the brown baby started barking at her, she blinked, then shook her head, about to reach out to it until the water splashed down on its head instead, causing her to glance over at Gummy...who appeared to be sleeping again. Lovey had risen to her feet to calm the pup, placing her paw on her little head.

The little one in Dove's arms whined softly, her eyes on her mom as she trembled quietly.

"Oh man! Gummy, stop that! Aw, she's totally fluffy!" Henrietta grinned, then crouched near Lovey and the baby who was, now, turning around and around beneath her mother's paw, trying to work out what had just splashed her on the head... The Tentacruel must be back! She yipped to call it out.

Dove nodded at Henrietta remark, gently shushing the little one in her arms. Eventually, with her encouragement, it calmed and tucked itself close to her, as though it was afraid of being dropped. The woman's hold shifted and soon, the pup was much more at ease.

Lovey swelled with pride; yes, her babies were fluffy, just as she was. After a few minutes of confused amusement, she lifted her paw, tilting her head at the kit. There was no tentacruel in the apartment... They didn't even have a tank, she thought to herself.

"That one has so much energy..." Dove finally repeated, shaking her head fondly. "Sparky doesn't quote know how to handle any of them, even if Lovey is their mother." The eevee and typhlosion had been friends for a long while, after all. It was kind of funny to watch him interact--or attempt not to interact-- with her offspring.

Carefully, Henrietta reached out a hand, to see if Lovey, and the baby, would permit the latter to be petted.

"She's awesome! Do these two have names? Lambert's a cool name, I bet these two have cool names too!" Henrietta grinned "Aw, man; I bet Sparky's pleased about them really though? So awesome!"

The baby paused, looked at her mother, then looked around doubtfully. She supposed she couldn't see a Tenta- WAIT! What was THAT?! There was a strange pokémon on her pillow!
