Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
It was a battle against the stairs, which Mog and Jac eventually won. Now in the hotel room, Jac sat on the side of the tub, holding his side as he leaned against the wall. "You don't have anything here to do you any good." Claudio deduced after rummaging around the place. "I didn't predict I'd have to save you, so first aid was kinda last on my list." Jac countered, the pain putting him in a foul mood. "There has to be a store somewhere that sells something we can use. Take my bike, I'll wait here." Claudio frowned, "Don't pass out and crack your head open too eh?" He still had the keys in his pocket from the drove here. "I'll be back soon." "Hey, take the money from the front pocket of my backpack." Jac called from the bathroom. "Si."
Claudio left the building, locking the door behind him and wasted little time getting back on the bike and taking off down the road. As he drove, he kept an eye out for any place that looked like they sold what they needed. "Food places, shopping center... College? Why did Jac move here?" there was no way an ex-gang member belonged in a town like this. It was too nice and... clean. He drove past the college on Jac's bike and kept looking.
He came across a super mart and pulled in there.
Marina Elemento Hey, it takes two to tango! You're pretty awesome yourself girl!

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--"What about you? You liking this place?" Danielle asked, her eyes still closed and her head tilted back. Delia looked at her for a moment, shrugging softly as she watched the tree branches sway slightly in the breeze. "Well, I want to be a nurse... I think... Gosh, I'm not even sure what I want anymore. But yeah, I like it here so far." Her lips pulled back up into a smile. There wasn't anything she could change now, aside from some few minor things, but that wasn't too big a deal. She was more worried about the life side of things rather than the school aspect. "A nurse, huh. That's cool. My mom's a school nurse. Or was, rather... before... well, a lot of stuff happened. It's a long story." Delia raised an eyebrow, nudging the blonde's shoulder gently. "What? Tell me."Danielle opened her eyes finally and turned to face her with a small smirk. "Well, like I said, it's a long story. It all started when she had this sort of affair type thing with one of the students. But it was more of a rumor, I don't think she really did it....." Delia had been listening as intently as possible at first, but something caught her eye that made her tune out Danielle's voice and peer over her head at the road. It was the sound of a motorcycle, and it came with what she had expected. The sight of it made her rise to her feet quickly, which in turn made Danielle stop talking and turn her head to face the road. The bike passed by before she could even ask aloud who it was, but the curiosity still clung to her as it rushed out of sight. Could it be...? "What is it?" Danielle asked. "I... I thought I saw... um... well, nevermind." Slowly, she sat back down. Danielle looked at her for a moment, then pulled her lips up in a suspicious smile. "There's a lot of hot guys in this town, Delia. You don't need to go for the first one that catches your eye." Delia blinked, looking at this girl in front of her with disbelief to what she just said. Had she heard correctly? Obviously this girl was denser than she looked, but she was just going to have to deal with it. She kept her mouth shut and listened to the rest of Danielle's scandalous tale. ---

Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
Claudio found what he needed and checked out, hurrying back to the bike and rushing to the motel. He threw the bike into park and rushed back up to the room and entered, making his way strait for the bathroom. "Jac, I got some stuff-" Jac was leaning against the wall, head low and eyes closed. "Jac?!" Claudio rushed to his side. "Jac, hey!" he shook his shoulder and Jac's eyes opened slowly. "What?" he asked, annoyance in his voice. "You ******** scared me that's what! Hijo de puta... I got the stuff. Sit up straight." Jac obeyed with a groan. Claudio cut the shirt away from Jac's body and frowned when he saw there was no exit wound. "The bullet's still in there." Jac sighed, then slumped. Claudio caught him, "Hey, stay awake, I can't do this by myself bro." He slapped Jac's face lightly until he came back around. "Mog, gimme some water yeah?" "Yeah." He stood and fetched a cup of water. Jac drank it and felt a little better. "Jus' hurry and get it out." He mumbled. "Si, but it's gonna hurt." "I know."
A burst of a yell could be heard all the way down to the parking lot, then silence, as Mog successfully extracted the bullet and bandaged up the now cleaned hole in his friend's side. "I really think you should get that stitched." "I really think you should shuddup and help me to the bed." With a sigh, Mog did as he was asked and Jac was out cold. Mog sat there on the other bed and flipped through the local channels on the t.v.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--For a while, the two acquaintances sat in the shade and talked, and surprisingly, they had a few things in common. They were both interested in science, but Danielle was more laid back about everything, as Delia had observed before. Delia enjoyed art, and Danielle enjoyed writing. She even talked about maybe being a journalist. She also talked a lot about boys, which Delia found interesting. The girl reminded her of one of her friends from back home, who was probably still jumping from boy to boy after all this time. After a while, Delia almost forgot about the crumpled piece of paper in her purse pocket, until the motor cycle passed by a second time and she watched it go by carefully. She didn't recognize the driver, then again he was wearing a helmet so it could have been anyone. During the next hour or so, she couldn't get rid of the uneasy feeling in her stomach, no matter how much Danielle chided her. "What's wrong? You look like something's bothering you, I can tell." The blonde leaned towards her slightly, as if expecting a huge rant about her feelings. Delia merely laughed it off. "I'm fine.""Are you hungry? We could go grab something if you want. I have some soda and snacks in our mini fridge." She grinned. "I had to stock up, but I didn't know what you liked so I just got a bunch of stuff." Delia raised her eyebrows slightly in surprise. "Really? Thanks... soda sounds really good right now actually," she added with a small laugh, and the girls got to their feet and made their way back to the dorm. Things were turning out better than Delia had expected they would, especially with something to distract her from the numerous possibilities that bounced off this insides of her mind. ---

Claudio was restless, looking to Jac, seeing him down for the count, then back at the t.v. to try and forget his horrible day. There was nothing on the tube, so he flipped it off and tossed the remote to the end of the bed. He got up and stood by the window, looking over the city as lights came on in the twilight darkness. This was a very nice town, and Mog could see why Jac picked it. He never though Jac really was the gang life kind of guy, and many times tried to talk him out of it, but once in a gang, always in the gang. Claudio knew what happened to those who left. They rarely lived, and if they did, they usually were permanently crippled in some way or another. "Damnit Jac." he went back to the second bed and forced himself to go to sleep.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--For a while, Delia and Danielle ate and exchanged stories, cooped up in their dorm room and actually enjoying themselves. This came as a bit of a surprise to Delia, for when she first met this girl she hadn't expected to be this close to her as they were now. A few hours really could change everything. There were still some things about her she wasn't so sure of, but the same could also be said for anyone else she'd ever met in her life. By the time the sun was setting, Delia realized she was rather sleepy, and lay in her bed cuddling with one of her pillows till she drifted off into sleep, unaware that Danielle was still talking about her long list of ex-boyfriends. The next morning, Delia woke up earlier than usual, sometime around seven o'clock. Her muscles ached slightly, but probably just from sleeping in a funny position. She looked over at Danielle, who was curled up in a pile of blankets, facing the wall. Sunlight found its way through the shades, which were halfway shut, casting an odd glow in the room. Slowly, she sat up and rubbed her eyes, allowing her brain to catch up with her body and vice versa. Sliding out of bed, she looked at the clock and sighed. Official orientation was in a few hours, but there was something that still bothered her. Delia thought for a moment, before her eyes widened in realization. She fumbled through her purse and pulled out the crumpled piece of paper, eyeing with the enormous urge of curiosity. This morning would certainly be interesting. ---

Mog woke up, blinking groggily at the unfamiliar ceiling. For a moment, his heart leaped into his throat as he remembered he had been abducted, and was sure he was still in captivity, but when he looked to his left, he saw Jac asleep on the bed next to him and remembered the second half of the day. His friend looked rather pale, but a lot better than the night before. Looking closer, he made sure Jac was in fact still alive, the got up to raid the man's fridge. He spotted a pac of cigarettes on the counter and paused. Mog used to smoke, but quit a while back. Now, with all of the crap he had put up with recently, the temptation was there. He took the pack and found a lighter, stepping out into the hallway and leaning on the railing overlooking the parking lot. He put the cigarette between his lips, but did not light it. It was enough for now to have the familiar feeling to calm his working nerves.
Inside the room, Jac groaned and blinked awake. The pain in his side was terrible, and now that he was awake, he could feel every bit of it. "Gah! Ffff-" he rolled over on his good side and focused on breathing. "Mog! Tell me you bought pain meds!" Mog turned when he heard Jac's voice and smiled. If he was complaining, he was alive. "Sorry hombre, forgot about those. I'll go pick some up." He said as he entered the room. "Well hurry up! This shits killing me!" "Hay voy!" and so the Latino left, taking his friends bike out once more. Jac stayed on his side and looked at his phone. "Seven fifteen? Too early... OH s**t!" He remembered he had to go to work in about two hours. "Damn it! I can't call off on the first day! Uuuuurrrrrggghh!" Jac buried his face in his pillow and tried to figure out what to do.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--As Delia began changing into a pair of denim capris and a tank top, Danielle tossed and turned a little bit, mumbling something inaudible in her sleep. Delia sighed, checking the clock again. It was now a little after seven thirty, which meant she probably had plenty of time to go into town and check on Jac. She kept the receipt he had written on in her back pocket, and this time didn't take her purse, only her phone. Before she left she grabbed a couple slices of bread and a bottle of water from the fridge. Delia played with the idea of leaving a note behind telling her roomie that she had just taken a walk, but decided it would be better to leave it be. That was all she needed to come back to when she returned... When Delia finally got out of the dorm and back onto the strangely familiar sidewalk, she slowly began to get that nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach again. She hoped she wouldn't have to call the number, but she also hoped that seeing him again wouldn't be as awkward as the first time they'd conversed. Should I ask him what happened? No, I should probably let it alone... but what if something really bad happened? No, he's probably fine. I should just leave it alone. Her hands were practically shaking with anxiety as she approached the motel building. At first, she zoned out, standing in front of the door and making completely sure this was the right place. When she realized she was just being stupid, she found her way inside and to the second floor, where, with the best ability of her memory she reached the door. Delia hesitated at first, biting her lip and pacing back and forth slightly. The eerie silence of the hallways scared her, but the only way to be reassured was knock, which is exactly what she did. --- Kiyiya Sakura meh. sorry it's so crappy. my mind is all over the place today.

Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
Mog had grabbed the strongest pain killers available without a prescription and hoped it was enough. He checked out and made his way back to the motel.
Jac had dozed off again, face in his pillow when he heard a knock. He snorted awake and lifted his head from his pillow, glaring at the door. "Uhg, Mog! Did you forget the keys?" He grumbled staggered out of bed, clutching his side. "Sometimes I think you'll forget your head," He opened the door, "If it wasn't attached to you... Delia!"
Mog pulled into the parking lot and climbed the stairs up to the room, but stopped when he saw a girl in front of the door to the room. Jac seemed to know her. A smile spread on Mog's face as he resumed his approach. "Oooohh, That's why you moved here. You had a muchacha here for you."
Jac poked his head out of the door to see Mog, "Take a hike Mog! No one asked you!" "Oh, si, okay. I'll just take these painkillers and sell them to little punks looking to get tweaked eh?" Jac mentally face palmed, "Wait, come back." He sighed. He really did not want Delia to see him like this and start asking questions, but he had asked her for a huge favor the day before, and telling her to leave after that was mean, even for Jac. "Come in if you want," He told Delia, "And thanks for following up. I appreciate it." He turned and slowly went back to the bed, trying to move as little as possible. "Mog! Pills! Now!" He ordered his friend. "Hay voy... A little appreciation for the guy who patched-" Jac gave him the 'Shut it!' motion and Claudio took the hint. "Your... flat... tire." He save, hoping it stuck. He tossed the bottle to Jac. Jac introduced the two, "Delia, this is Mog, Mog, Delia." It was blunt, but Jac was in no mood for formalities.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia exhaled in relief when he answered the door, oblivious at first to the fact that he was clutching his side. "H-hi," she greeted with an awkward wave, before a newcomer approached them. What he said only confused her more, making the whole situation that much more awkward. She bit her lip for a moment, wondering if she should come in or not. She didn't want to intrude, but again, it was only a caring gesture to make sure he was okay. It wouldn't do any good to run away from a situation she'd been wondering about for the past few hours. Her cheeks blushed light pink and she got out, "No problem. I'm just glad you're.. okay." She followed behind him and leaned against the wall, her nerves finally calming down a little bit. Delia looked at his Spanish friend and smiled. "It's nice to meet you." She watched them for a moment curiously, too many questions bubbling over inside her mind. "So, um... everything is alright, I take it?" she asked, her careful choice in words blowing right up in her face. --- Kiyiya Sakura if you say so... sometimes I think I mush too much stuff together in one medium post.

Jac opened the bottle and popped a couple of pills into his mouth. At Delia's assumption, Mog snorted, but quickly turned and busied himself with opening the fridge. Jac swallowed the pills dry and answered her, "Yeah, problem taken care of." He said coolly. He remained sitting up, but he really wanted to lay down for the few hours he had left before he had to show up for work. "Yeah, sorry I ditched you yesterday." He wiped some sweat from his brow and hoped the pills would kick in soon. He was not hot, or ill. Keeping a solid facade was tiring when in that much pain.
"Hey man, why aint you got any beer?" Claudio called from the kitchen area. "Cuz I aint got any." "And wheres the food?" "At the store. Stop being a mooch!" "Holmes!" He closed the fridge and turned to Jac, "What do you eat?" "Haven't had a chance to go shopping much bro. I've eaten out the past few days. Why don't you go do that. Get outa here for a while. Go do something constructive." "Hey! That's racist!" "Not 'construction'! 'Constructive'!" Jac rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Just get out of here!" "Fine, fine. Que sera, sera." Mog sauntered out of the room. Jac let out a sigh of relief. As much as he care for Mog, the man did not know how to keep his mouth shut. He looked at Delia. "Sorry about that. He's a whinny butt."

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--"That's okay." Delia hadn't felt this awkward since her junior year in highschool, and though it really wasn't that long ago, it felt like it had been a while. She leaned against the wall, trying her best to seem casually concerned. Or maybe just casual. Though as the two friends bickered lightly, she couldn't help but to hide her smile a little bit, finding herself more amused than she'd like to be. The whole situation seemed really strange. After all, he had no food. Then again, he did just move in. What was the big deal? She watched Mog leave with mild curiosity, then turned to look at Jac again at his comment. "That's alright. If you need anything, I could pick up some groceries or something." Delia mentally kicked herself as soon as she had said it. What was she offering, anyway? It seemed that she couldn't keep her mouth shut today, and it was only eight o'clock in the morning. ---

Jac tried to find a more comfortable position on the bed, but stopped shortly after with a grimace. The pain meds had not kicked in yet, and having a hole, however small, in waist was extremely painful. "That's okay, I can get them myself after work today." he grunted slightly. He resumed his slouched sitting position on the bed, as it was the only position that seemed comparable with his injury.
Jac did not know what else to say. Things went fairly well yesterday. considering, and the whole ordeal he had put her through in front of the music shop he wished she could forget. No doubt she had questions, and he did not want to answer for two reasons. He did not want such an innocent girl to know he was such a screwed up guy, and he also did not want her to get mixed up in anything should the worst happen and they find him here. "So, uh..." He suddenly realized he was thirsty. Should he ask her to get him water? In his own room? No, he had to get up. He stood slowly, "Are you thirsty?" He said to hide his grimace. "I only have water so..." He made it to the counter without much problem and used it to support him better. He grabbed a couple of paper cups supplied by the room.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia nodded in response, but watched him carefully. It wasn't like her to be so nosy and curious (okay, maybe it was), but at the same time, she felt like something was way off. When she had taken psychology, they talked a lot about body language and the way people moved and talked as they did so. At the time, she felt like it was a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but the more she talked to people, the more empathetic she became. It was a weird experience, but it couldn't be any more awkward than what was happening in this moment. As she watched him, Delia found herself standing up a little straighter, watching him with a careful look in her eyes. "Water's.. fine..." she replied, rather distracted by the look on his face. Was he in pain? Maybe he was just tired. She had checked on him rather early, after all. "I... I'm glad you're okay, by the way. I know it's silly, but I was kinda worried sick about you." She laughed awkwardly, running a hand through her hair the way she did when she was nervous. It wouldn't surprise her if this guy wanted nothing more to do with her and her obnoxious comments. ---

Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
Jac turned the sink on and let the cold water run for a few seconds before holding one of the cups under the running water. He put it on the counter for Delia and repeated the process for himself. He stood rigid, trying to move as little as possible and did not move from the sink, but stayed still there to drink his water. "Really?" He asked after a sip. He hadn't thought someone like her would ever really worry about a guy like him. "Wow..." He muttered aloud, then caught himself. "I mean... I'm sorry. Didn't mean to make you worry. I'm back now and everything's fine." He hoped he spoke the truth. He was so done with the life on the wrong side of the law and he really hoped this seemingly crime-less city by the sea was out of Birch's reach.
Jac leaned back to the sink to refill his cup but the sudden outstretching motion on his arm to the faucet pulled at his wound and cause him to wince, sucking a quick breath in through his teeth. His free hand went to his side and he felt a small circle of wetness. The bullet hole was bleeding again. Mog was right, he needed stitches. He cursed in his head, wondering what to do for the moment, biting his bottom lip as he tried to think.
