As she transversed the space towards the creature, it was no man, she knew at least that much. The stink of his Corruption was acidic and turned her stomach. Still, she pushed forward, she could not afford to falter.
That was when it laughed.
Aria’s skin crawled as if it were its own living thing outside of her. She stumbled, barely managing to keep her feet. As if they were not bad enough, it then spoke.
"It's not enough."
The darkness twisted like a poisonous viper, but struck with velvet fangs to her soul, robbing her of breath. It called out to her, a siren's promise of release, of peace within its soothing and concealing embrace. What was not enough? She was falling...
Goddess!
Everything snapped back into focus as the ground began to heave. Aria found herself kneeling upon the broken and jagged cobblestones. She pushed herself upright as a new beast coalesced into a nine-headed monster. From beyond it, the creature who summoned it was walking away with an easy and confident stride; its dark work done.
And she was helpless to stop it.
Almost as an afterthought, it asked, "What lengths will you go to, to kill a monster?"
What lengths indeed? This thing before her and the others within this square could not hope to overcome it by attacking it straightforwardly and separately. It would take them all in union. And even then, they might not succeed. But better to try and fall than to not try at all.
She scrambled her way over to the man the creature had dropped before its retreat. ”Are you hurt?”she asked, her eyes scanning the man over. He didn’t look injured, but that did not mean a thing. ”Can you fight?”

•Plushy•
Plushy wakes, he had to find the metals for Gorden's pure potion, though first he was going to check on the town. Plushy splash splash through the water as he headed to shore. The town looked normal enough, as Neoross had removed the barrier. Plushy walk in to find a bunch of people where outcast, all walking about, like the whole town was corrupt. This can't be good. Plushy thought. He would have to find the metals fast, and then the potion would have to work, but the wizard would make that happen, Plushy just had to get the metals. Plushy left the town, as he now looked for the metals.

((so we not meet yet...that ok, we may cross paths latter smile ))
Sashara shuddered a little when she heard the Origin speak and ran to Dante only to find a woman there. "Are you all right? I'm glad to know there are others, but we must be quick to take this monster down." she told the two. She heard Maia leave and frowned at the creature. This was going to take all they got and most of them are tired already from their fight with the two Outcasts. "Luck be with us..."

Jedikiah Pariston
The Crimson Alchemist
Jedikiah's counter attack would bare fruit when he felt the weight of his blow follow through, the condense air that was wrapped around his fist collapsing with the force it expells throwing the druid woman across the field. In that same moment he could also feel the air itself begin to frost over as the masked and armored monster began to laugh at the five of them, draw their attention to the monster in humanoid form as he was to mockingly question their capabilities. Jedikiah had faith in his own abilities but the four others that stood with him, he knew very little of their capabilities beside what he has been shown thus far and vice versa, against a foe that was equally as strong as the five of them together or even more so, unable to coordinate their attacks very well, he knew that if that monster had wanted to destroy them it could have, but he was puzzeled as to why the monster of a man didn't attempt to do so? "I doubt it, fear is something I am incapable of." Jedikiah would boast about, his lance returning to its original state just before the ground began to quake almost out of fear. He would nimbly hop back twice to distance himself from the plant life that was still under his opponents control and the splitting earth, regrouping with the others in the process, his gaze momentarily shifting to Maia just as she fled, though not before her gaze of displeasure and disgust met him. "Well, lets just hope it is more fun than you were." He retorted.
"Well, this is a first and it doesn't look like it will be an easy task." He would voice as the nine headed Hydra type beast began to take form, its entire body seemingly made of an acidic substance. Jedikiah heard the warning of the knight, his black and crimson eyes already scanning the beast, looking for any signs of vulnerabilities and as if to aid him in such task, the knight went on the offensive with his lightning attacks and Jedikiah figured he should help apply some pressure while the other three compose themselves for battle or come up with a strategy. Twirling the lance between his fingers for a split second, the Dhampir would then swipe the weapon nine times through the air, air condensing into blades like before, striking at each head individually though only one had the purpose of serving the head from the body. He had heard hydra's had the abilities to regenerate their heads and he wished to test out this theory on this beast before him. "This is so stressful. Yo barkeep! How about after we annihilate this big ball of corruption, you treat us all to a drink, yah?" Jedikiah would ask in an nonchalant manner, almost as if their lives or even this city wasn't in danger.

Dante Virgils "The Tattered Man"
Kindness is a quality only the strong are afforded. Tell me, are you strong?
It would seem even without a monster their fight was not finished. As the Outcast general and his second vanished from view the Five struggled with the current problem, a liquid mass of nine heads that sprayed acidic slime. He leaped backwards avoiding such a spray that began to melt the dirt into a mud like puddle.
"Are you hurt?"
He looked to his side to see a woman new to the battlefield her demeanor was that of a warrior so for now he would not object. Before he could respond Sashara's panic cut through the air asking a similar question.
"Yes I am alright you two." He said as he reached for his sword. As the third voice captured his attention he couldn't help but smile and even laugh. "If we make it out of this all of the drinks will be on the house." He said as a grin spread over his face. Feeling his chest grow warm once more he relaxed letting his mind settle a bit.
Lightning lured by the promise of metal markers struck the inky surface of the beast. It roared as sections of its body were blown away only to slowly reform from the substance. Similarly the blades of wind hurled with such force found their targets slashing through the necks of the beast. Its roar stopped as the heads toppled with a wet sloshing noise to the round spraying the immediate area in a spray of black ooze. Dante raised an eyebrow, was that all?
The beast's shapeless mass began to squirm quickly reforming the general shape of its body and the heads that sprouted like mutated growths from it. Another screech escaped the beast's maw before it sprayed a deluge of acidic venom onto the ground where four of them stood. Another head squirmed up opening its mouth it sprayed acidic rain down towards Jedikiah the man who had managed to hurt it so thoroughly before.
There are two things I have learned in my life, there is something eternal and there is always something to hope for
Sashara nodded in relief and moved out of the way of the acidic spray. "I don't think I'd want a drink after this." she said watching in disgust as the monster that was beheaded was brought back. She notched another arrow and concentrated on the open mouth on one head. "Please...work..." she muttered as she let the arrow fly to her target. The inside of the mouth.
Leon chuckled a little at the comment about drinks. Though he was far less impressed with the hydra reforming after his and Jedikiah's attack brought it down. It seemed simply blowing it to pieces would not truly get rid of it which was a problem. Leaping backwards from the acidic spray he decided perhaps a slightly different tactic was in order as he tried to come up with a plan. He yelled out for the others to hear him as he spoke his idea. "If simply blasting it to pieces won't work perhaps freezing and shattering might? It seems to be made of some kind of liquid which means it can be frozen if anyone here can freeze it after we bring it down again it will give us an opening to try purifying it or otherwise disposing of it. " spoke Leon as he sent out a wave of "hardened" lightning to intercept the acid spray targeted at Jedikiah to deflect it backwards towards the hydra though it would hit below it's mouth. Leon wanted to see if the outside of the hydra was as resistant to it's acid as it's mouth clearly was. The plan he stated was also a way around the fact that the beast was coated or rather made of some strange substance, by encasing it in ice they could touch the ice to purify it without risk of that substance.

✷Aria Clairbourn
Aria thought through the poisons resting within their secret places, never taking her eyes off the beast which raged before them. Several were quickly dismissed. There was one for numbing and deadening of the body, but would it work on such a massive creature that was clearly not of humanoid decent?
Better than nothing and at this point, what could it hurt?
Her gloved hands reached against into the folds of her robes and withdrew the vile.
”While not something to freeze per say, this just might work,” she softly offered. Her steady gaze fell to the elven maid. “Your bow should work well to deliver this to one of the heads. Take care not to break the vile yourself. The effects are unpleasant as they include deadening and numbing of whatever it touches.”
Before passing the poison over, Aria held it briefly to her chest and with head bowed, spoke a silent prayer. Mighty Goddess, hear your child. Bless this ointment and that which would deliver it. Pour forth your grace and mercy and make this holy so that your divine will might be done.
Blessing complete, she held it out to the archer within her open palm.
Sashara looked to the woman seeing her arrow almost land it's target before the creature snapped at it and sighed at her slight failure. She looked at the woman's vile and raised an eyebrow at her position of prayer before handing the vile to her. "All right...let's see if I can hit it. Thank you." she told her before attaching the vile to her arrow with string from her pack. She aimed right at the head in the middle and put her own power into it. She took aim and let it fly towards the monster.

|| Neoross Xemeron || ||Location; Valeria town|| ||With; NPC child|| ||Thoughts: Can't I get a normal day?|| ||OOC; I thought you would have plushy confront Neoross, but alrighty, he's just going to carry the youngling for a bit. Filler post otherwise...|| ||--Appearance--||
The girl had crashed to sleep a few minutes away from the town, but Neoross knew he couldn't take her back with more than nearly all the town corrupted with darkness. His darkness was especially corrosive and contagious, creating worse stories than the usual darkness spread from the south. He hadn't had any run ins with darkness other than his own, so he couldn't know the specific differences. He was carrying the girl on his back, using the poleaxe as a walking stick of sorts.
Their collaborative efforts were, at least on first appearances, making a difference. As they all dodged and evaded the misty acid that fell to the ground Dante looked to see Sashara and the new woman collaborating an attack. As the arrow was released the creature's attention turned momentarily staring at the arrow as it smashed into one of the heads. There was an odd moment of almost confusion as the creature's head shook a little as it to get some itch that had formed on its forehead. However that shaking turned into violent thrashing as it screeched whipping its head wildly around crashing into the others disrupting their attacks.
"So it's not just a mass of liquid." He whispered softly, if it was then it wouldn't feel anything, but this creature very clearly felt pain.
He did not have a mask designed to freeze that would be to specific and his masks held more general powers. But he did have one that might be of some practical use. Reaching out he called forth a mask. It was a half mask that covered the upper part of his face only, ornate in design its renaissance flair very apparent in the design and color. Placing the mask over his face a magical circle began to inscribe itself along the ground underneath him. Rising up the circle passed over Dante transforming his body as before when he became the giant of a man.
Standing now was a man who stood a little shorter than Dante. His hair had become a vibrant color of brown while his eyes now radiated a bright green color. He wore what one would expect of a nobleman who was attending a masquerade ball, dark clothes lined with brilliant outlines of gold. He stood looking towards the creature, a rapier by his side. Quickly this figure unsheathed his blade pointing the tip towards the creature. After a moment the tip of the blade bean to glow a bright blue color, swiping the blade downward the light was launched from the tip of his sword heading straight for the thrashing beast. On contact the light exploded into a flurry of ice, freezing over a section of the beast. This form was Signa, the Renaissance Magician. A powerful mage who cast spells through channeling energies through his magical rapier.
Turning to the others he smiled a dashing roguish smile. "We could dance all night, but how about we cut this one short?" He said as he flipped his rapier up once more sending another bright light towards the beast. The ice from his previous attack had already begun to crack and shatter under the force of the creature's might but they were progressing very nicely. Signa's eyes began to swirl as small magical circles appeared in his pupils, spinning counter clockwise he, almost inhumanly quickly, mumbled off words as he began to look the creature over. What was he looking for?
"There it is!" He said finally. Pointing the tip of his rapier towards the center of the beast he announced. "There! I sense the core of the beast writhing inside. We must strike there if we hope to end this!" He said as he readied another spell. Words fell from his mouth as the tip of his rapier began to glow red.
Sashara watched as her arrow hit its target and thrash around wildly as it felt the pain of the poison that was on the arrow. She almost felt sorry for it if it weren't a spawn of evil. She looked to Dante as he once again transformed and remember from her vision that this was another mask he held and watched he sent ice towards the monster. She looked to the monster as he pointed out the weak spot and notched another arrow. She aimed right at the center and let if fly leaving a perfect opportunity to add a little effect to make the attack stronger.
Plushy had to find the metals, they are shiny some in the light, but it is late at night now, and dark out. Shiny metal should be easy to find, just have to flash some light Plushy thought. Whoosh, Plushy breathed a fire ball, he throws it straight up, Poof, the fire ball flashed, letting Plushy see there was no metal here. Plushy walked a bit and sent up another fire ball, Whoosh, Poof. No metal here also. Plushy walked a bit more and tried again, Whoosh, Poof. No metal here also. Plushy walked through the woods looking for the metals, Whoosh, Poof, Whoosh, Poof, Whoosh, Poof. The flashes light up the green forest, no spots of bright light, no shiny metals, yet. Plushy had to keep looking, he walked some more and sent up another fire ball, Whoosh, Poof.

((how could i? you had left the town before plushy got there...though you might see the fire flashes plushy is putting up. and plushy can still find you in his search for the metals... i ended my post like that so if you want, neoross can be caught in the light of the flash, plushy can then see him...?))

|| Neoross Xemeron || ||Location; Valeria town|| ||With; NPC child|| ||Thoughts: Fireworks?|| ||OOC; Neoross has those metal pieces on his attire so they'll be caught in the light.|| ||--Appearance--||
Suddenly the silent night was interrupted by flashes of light in the sky. He glanced over in the direction of the first as a second one went up a short distance away. The girl woke up from the sound and giggle while pointing "Fireworks!""Sure..." he was unsure of who or what was sending fireballs into the sky this late at night. If someone needed light and could use magic, why not just cast a light spell? The girl tried to reach out like she could grab a fireball if she reached far enough. He had to readjust his grip to ensure she didn't fall to the ground and start crying.
Leon listened well when Dante mentioned where the beasts weak point was located. Gripping his sword in both hands he closed his eyes for just a moment as he opened them his eyes glowing a light blue color same as the color of his lightning as his body began sparking wildly, his body now coated with electricity as Leon buffed himself as he used one of his more advanced techniques. Temporarily increasing his speed, power and defense with the power of lightning. Then suddenly charging forward aiming for where Dante located the beasts weak point. Releasing blasts of concentrated lightning to block/deflect all the acid or other ranged attacks they may send at him. Hearing Sashara release an arrow from her bow likely aimed for the weak spot Leon's eyes flashed momentarily as Sashara's arrow was imbued with lightning as it was covered in lightning to amplify it's piercing power and overall power, to better reach and destroy the weak spot. " I'll open up a path to take this thing down then." spoke Leon as he suddenly leaped up into the air, going forwards still towards the hydra as he reached his sword way back as far as his arm could go. As his blade was suddenly enveloped in a thick burst of lightning, not just enveloped but the lightning actually began expand and lengthen until it extended into a massive blade of lightning that would almost reach the buildings behind the hydra when swung to ensure it did the damage required. He then swung his new lightning blade, spinning a little as he did so for extra momentum as he slashed towards the hydra with his full strength aiming for the bottom of it's heads. His aim was to completely cleave through all of it's heads in that one overwhelming swing to further weaken the beast and provide an opening for the arrow to pierce into the creature and possibly take down the core. Leon knew his attack had more then enough power to do the deed so that meant he merely had too wait and see how it all played out in conjunction with what the others all do.
