Kari grudgingly put her staff away and took a deep breath to calm herself. This was a kid, after all. She couldn't lose her cool just because the boil wasn't behaving himself. The teacher gave them pins to shrink him, so if they did what he said they did, then pinning the boil was definitely a better alternative.

Kari jumped towards the boil in an attempt to pin him. If only she had aimed more carefully, she wouldn't have missed by such a large margin.  

[Myoukin]

Making another leap, Kari missed once more, but her aim was definitely improving.

"You know, for something so big you definitely move fast", she grumbled as she readied her final pin.  

[Myoukin]

"Oh come on", Kari growled as her last attempt to pin the boil failed. It shrieked once more in response and the ghoul couldn't help but glare at what was becoming a major pain in her side.  

[Smerdle]

Even though he had followed the rest of his fellow students into the trees only minutes prior, Lyle's attention was quickly diverted from unruly supposed minipets to leaves and flowers. Which of them brought out his eyes? Made him seem taller? Had scents that triggered strange, seemingly unrelated sensations of toes flexing in bright green grass and laughter and...

The boil dropped out of his pleasant hover as the shrill shriek of a giant child shook the air around him.

"Dear Jack," he breathed, stepping closer to the commotion Rabbit was causing on shaky legs. An illusory hand buffeted the air around Lyle and the boil struck back without thinking, flailing just as wildly and futilely as the scareling had.  

[Smerdle]

He scrambled to keep the pins the teacher thrust at him in hand, looking down at them with growing understanding once he was sure he wouldn't drop them. So that's what they were for. He'd had his pin off dozens of times but he'd never turned into a screeching abomination.

Maybe he could find something in the library that would explain more. Maybe...

They had a library here, right?

He was staring again, stock still in the midst of minor chaos. Other students tossed pins, one or two even hitting and sticking to their giant opponent. Lyle threw one of his underhand, surprised when it arced close to one of the boil copies that made up the boil's legs.  

[Smerdle]

His next attempt was not as successful, if a near miss could have been called a success in the first place. Lyle threw his second pin where Rabbit had been a moment before, watching it futilely bounce through the dirt.

"Okay." He had one more chance to land one of these pins. In a display of agility and grace, at least from him, Lyle raised his arm and threw the skull as hard as he could. It popped off of Rabbit's shin, then fell to the ground, useless.

Emily stumbled and dropped the pin as she covered her ears. Sweet baby Jack, that mega boil could scream. Her eyes glowed a even brighter tone of white as she felt a bit rageful, caused from the annoyance of this boil.

She lunged forward and slapped a pin on the boil, well simultaneously dodging a swipe of his clawed, mini him, arm. She air skid to a stop on the other side of him. She smiled, feeling very pleased with herself as she saw that the pin stayed in place.

Emily grasped the last pin in her hand and stared at the boil's back that now faced her. She could do this! It was still a large target and it was wide open. She charged forward and leap into the air, aiming for a small boil that made up the back of his neck. But just as she stretched out her arm something horrible happened. He turned around, arm up, and swatted her away like a bug. She hit the ground rolling. Ugh she hated touching the ground, she quickly recovered, stood back up, and floated back into the air. She looked at her plams, she must have dropped the pin. Oh well, at least she got one on him and she noticed now that there where a few others on him now as well. Good. They'd get him yet.
