ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Eleanora scowled at Vale's comments on her attire. "Why thank you, kind prince, for the compliment. You sure know how to woo a girl into thinking she allowed servants to choose the proper dress for her." She pasted a fake smile on with a sarcastic tone before rolling her eyes and looking down at her letter. She turned it over in her fingers as the carriage took off. Should she wait to read it or just read it now? Deciding to wait she put it done on her lap and looked out the window. The citizens were either confused or happy to see the royal carriage and either waved or stood staring at the passing royals.
With the scenery changing quickly they soon found themselves traveling through the natural scenery at a faster pace. Of course it was that interesting to look at so she found her attention going to Vale. "Depends on where you want to go. We'll be stopping at the castle first of course so I can give you a tour. After that we can decide where to go. A date? No. I'll only take yu n one if you take me first." Sshe was half serious with the dating part. She really had no urge to go on a date but maybe going on one wouldn't be so bad. Normally people went on dates right? While the order of things may have been messed up for the two, as normal relationship one often didn't go on dates after marrying someone but who knew. She was out of that sort of loop when it came to that sort of thing. It wasn't because she didn't like it but more of the fact she had spent so long focusing on her goal that time just flew by for the matter, also her status would have made it hard to get into some sort of relationship like that complicated. With the mention of the competition she gaped for a second. She hadn't read her letter so the knowledge of rather or not the event would be taking place as a special event for the two was going to happen. Due to how strenious some parts of it was they didn't have it more then twice a year though if the council had done what they said they were going to them this was going to be a time that there was a third one in a year.
She opened the letter and skimmed the contents for the mentioned part and read over what they had said. So the competition was going to happen, while she ignored much of the letter she looked back up at Vale and nodded. "We normally don't have it more then a few time a year because of how tiring using a lot of magic can be but it seems the council was able to arrange for it to be prepared due our visiting." She shifted and crossed her legs. Would she take part in the duels this year? She probably would and while her participation was rare she enjoyed the times she did. "I might join this year." She shrugged at her own comment and scammed through the several paged letter.

Anzen Hatsukoi its totally fine! I feel your pain~ ╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ "Wouldn't you rather me be honest with you?" He said gesturing her dress and noticing she had a letter in her hand. What was it for? Surely, they wouldn't be sending letters from Zimid when we were already on our way there. However, it appeared that they had done so regardless. And who was he referring to by they? It would most likely be the Queen or her council. Vale felt he had been thinking too much on such a simple letter and placed it aside his thoughts. He sighed, "If anything, you still look very nice, princess." He said directing his vision to the outside of the carriage. He felt a bit embarrassed when he complimented her in any way but he felt he was going to need to get over it sooner or later. They were married now and they were both going to need to play into their roles as husband and wife if this was going to work out. And just like this, the princess was right. It would be sensible for him to take her on a date first. And although he was kidding before, he could tell the princess was at least a little bit serious. What kind of date was he suppose to take her on? Dinner? A theatrical show? She liked the outdoors, so maybe a picnic somewhere outside? He now swarmed himself with possible places and things to do. What would he wear? Would he need to ask or just take her with him somewhere? It felt so foreign thinking about dating ideas with the girl he just married. Or basically just met not too long ago. Especially since they used to be at each other's throats, when Vale used to joke with her just to irritate her and now he used it in a friendly manner with her. She even responded sarcastically, almost playing along with him even! But all in all, he would need to schedule something for the two of them when they were to return to Toryn.
He glanced at her when hearing her open the letter, skimming over it for something in particular. Vale's grin grew when hearing they were willing to schedule a magic competition, which they only did a few times a year. He was about excited as he is with jousting. Competitive sport was all anyone needed to catch Vale's attention. And to even hear that she might participate was even more spectacular. He couldn't really imagine what it was like, of course, since he had never been to a competition like this, but seeing the princess in an event like this, outside of her usual gracefulness was going to be quite the sight. Plus, he could add this to his list of bragging rights. "I hope you do. I'll cheer for you. So loud the crowd couldn't drown me out." He said chuckling and repositioning himself, yet again. Sitting in this carriage was so very uncomfortable for Vale. He dreaded having to ride in this for long periods of time. "What else does your letter say?" He asked with slight curiosity since this letter had been pages long.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Vale was right, she would have preferred him to be honest with her but still. Hearing that she looked weird from an outside source was not what she wanted especially since they were going to Zimid. She couldn't look bad in front of her people and especially not the council. She nodded "True. I'd rather you be honest with me." Wasn't she just the embodiment of hypocritical? It was a bit laughable how she liked his honesty meanwhile she had secrets hidden from her all over the place. She went about finishing her letter. It was the same as the last few. The council was yet again not happy and especially unhappy with what she had Flynn report to them. Which wasn't a shocker but the fact that they were going to arrange for the event to happen for them was. They were over course would want something from her but what it was, was what she worried about.
While she had placed the pages down on her lap she was quick to busy herself and fold the letter neatly That was embarrassing and if he honestly did cheer so loud she'd probably die on the spot. While people cheered for her having someone actually say they were going to do something like what Vale was joking around about was enough to make her figitate around in her embarrassment. While it was a competition cheering really didn't happen until the end of the match when the winner of it was decided. "Thanks. Just don't get to carried away." Vale was changing the way he sat quite a bit and it wasn't hard to guess why. Riding in a carriage wasn't exactly the most comfortable at times, it had taken Eleanora herself quite a handful of years to deal with the discomfort caused from long rides. She wondered if there was going to be any stops. It was a valid question that she would probably find out later after they had covered more grown but with how long it would take them to get to Zimid she wasn't expecting too many as then they might have to find some lodging somewhere. Eleanora leaned back in her seat. "It's just my usual fill in on what's happening in Zimid while I'm away. The council makes sure I'm still somewhat in the loop while Cateline handles some things while I'm away. Other than that there's nothing of interest in it." A good fat ole white lie it was. The council was chewing her out in much of the letter along with filling her in with news of events that were taking place. While much of it was questions on how things were progressing and if she learned anything there was still some news on Zimid in it. While she was away from home she was still apart of Zimid and she made sure to remind the council that.

Anzen Hatsukoi Btw, sorry to say my posts are getting shorter. I'm on a bit of a writer's block moment. crying ╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ "No promises." He said to her response about getting carried away. He wasn't going to cheer crazy like he hinted, but he was going to make sure to wish he good luck. That, was a promise. Vale ceased his shifting, not that he was any more comfortable than he was before, but that his shifting wasn't making it any better. He has deemed this a ride that had no cure for uncomfortable-ness. He sighed, seeing how Eleanora seemed to be used to this type of thing. He wouldn't be surprised. Even though Vale was a price, he hardly went away far enough to be driven in a carriage. Anywhere Vale needed to be, he would simply take Windago. That, and he didn't go to any political meetings outside of the Kingdom. It was a waste of time. Vale nodded with understanding. So she probably received letters frequently if they were about things that went on in Zimid. Though he couldn't imagine much was going on now that we have entered a time of peace. Was being up to date with the kingdom worth several pages? Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't. Vale didn't know of any conflict Zimid could be in, nor could he think of any to be written in the letter. He began toying with the ends of his hair and gazed out the window. It seemed they were well out of the forested area and now surrounded by a large meadow, shining in green with small bits of purple and yellow flowers scattered across it. With the pace they were going, they would be able to find a rested area by noon, giving the horses and driver a break while the two stretch themselves. Vale wasn't sure if they would be staying somewhere along the way or going straight there but he remembered there was a grand lodge built on midpoints between every kingdom, so that royals were able to relax on their political trips.
Vale yawned. Not too long ago Vale had woken up, and he was still a bit sluggish, even with how far they've come. He was thinking about falling asleep to let the time fly by but with all the moving of the carriage and his inability to be comfortable, he assumed he wouldn't be able to rest no matter what. Adding to this, he didn't want to have Eleanora stay up all by herself with no one to speak to. Though Vale knew she didn't really need Vale, especially to fill in for loneliness. He knew she enjoyed peace and quiet, but he didn't know if this was one of the times when she desired it. He thought about using this time to get to know her more. They were going to be on this trip for a long while, might as well. He leaned his head back and crossed his arms as another attempt in getting settled. "What was your childhood like, Eleanora? Was it the same as your life is now? Having to be graceful and princess-like?" He asked, ruffling his brows questioningly. Depending on her answer, he could maybe think of something to do with her. From the way she spoke about her quest for queen earlier, it seemed as if she focused all of her life into her goal. He was sure she had done some interesting things in her life, but he thought about having her do something exciting. Yes, this was going to be difficult to find something worth her excitement but he was willing to try. "I'm sure you were such an interesting child. I could barely imagine it, really." He said smirking to her, actually unable to imagine her as a child. He couldn't see her, playing in dirt or with other children sweating in the sun frolicking outside like Toryn children did. Of course, Vale didn't do that as a a child either. Rather, he was more of a bully towards other children.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Eleanora shook her head, whatever Vale did she just hoped it wasn't embarrassing. She'd have enough to do as it was with catching up on whatever Cateline and Alvery had failed to do and making sure Vale was handled was there too. She could already see herself burning out from her work. She didn't mind coming home to this but the sheer amount she could expect was a bit annoying. She really didn't like Alvery. The Queen was lazy just as she was controlling. She only did work she wanted and was more than happy to ruin the kingdom for her ideals. She watched Vale's restless shifts stop and was half curious to wonder if he had found a good position or if he had just given up on getting comfortable. She heard another yawn from Vale and glanced at him "If you're still tired take a nap. It'll be a while before we get there." She didn't mind if he slept and if she was honest she sort of expected him to have fallen asleep by now.
The question of her childhood came up and it caught her off guard. Generally no one asked her that question and thus she was unaccustomed to those curious to her early life. She looked at hi dumbfoundedly for a second before switching her gaze somewhere else. "Of course it wasn't the same as it is now. Being graceful was desired but it took me a long time to learn how. I was overly emotional about a lot of things to the point I think father got fed up with me quite a lot." She tapped her chin as she thought of what she was like when she was a kid. She had always been full of energy when it came to her early life. She had always been out and about when she wasn't learning magic. Which was often. She had been a quick learner and went above expectations of her teachers in the arts. Not only that but she had always over reacted to multiple things, she remembered she once cried when she couldn't see her father due to a meeting of the King and the Council. She remembered having to be chased after because she was just everywhere at once but nowhere at the same time. "I'm sure you can barely imagine it because I'm different now."
She rested her chin in the palm of her hand as she thought back some more. "It was fun though, when I was a kid. I used to go walking in the surrounding forest because that was the only way they could tire me out. As I got older I had a favorite spot I would always go to. Magic was easy for me to get the hang of and I never really struggled with that or picking up new material on other countries." She paused and thought of her favorite clearing in the forest near the castle. She had often discovered lots of sites in that forest, she had learned as a child many of Zimid royals were buried in the forest and while it was a tad bit creepy to think about their burial site was nothing less than amazing. She didn't have many memories with her own father but the ones she had were fairly nice. "I spent a lot of time with my nurse. Due to mom's death and father being busy so much with the start of the war and other things." "I learned a lot of my walks with my nurse maid. She taught me a lot about being Fae and other things that my teachers were uncomfortable telling me about." Her childhood was fairly simple for her status. While she had been quite active and emotional for a kid she had been understanding. She remembered giving her nurse maid hugs quite often when the lady was stressed or upset but that didn't over look her stubbornness that she had even now. "I was quite stubborn. I remember one time, it was the first time I made an actual pretty flower crown, I had wanted to give it to father and he ended up being in a meeting for most of the day. I was to stubborn to leave that I sat outside the meeting hall and waited for him before getting upset and tearing the crown after a while. Just to end up crying about ripping the crown up and not being able to see him." She sighed at the memory. She had been quite the child and couldn't blame many of her teachers getting upset with her for being to stubborn or empty-headed when she was bored and crying whenever they yelled at her.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale listened to her offer and shrugged. "While that may be true, I don't feel very comfortable letting you stay awake all on your own." He said even though his eyes felt a bit heavy. Not to mention the sunlight this morning happen to shine brighter than usual. It was almost blinding trying to stare outside the window. But this was all, of course, because Vale wasn't accustomed to waking at such an early time. And with the carriage's rattling, it was becoming impossible for him to rest. Vale smiled to the princess, " Perhaps if I were able to lay on a princess's lap, maybe I could get some rest. " He said raising his eyebrow and smirking playfully to her. Though he wouldn't expect her to allow it, it was still nice to flirt with her sometimes, being that her reactions never failed to amaze him. "Maybe she would sing to me as well."
Vale listened to her, imagining a young princess acting stubborn and wandering around, exploring places. She wasn't like Toryn children, which Vale should have realized. They were from two completely different backgrounds. Two different environments and societies. Even with this, he could tell she was still an interesting child. She was a child full of energy, which hadn't really changed from what Vale could see. In fact, he could see she hadn't changed a lot, although she says she was different. Not only that, she was certainly as bright as she was when she was younger. She was able to adapt to Toryn quickly and she was very intelligent. She may have had more sudden bursts of emotion as a child, but that didn't mean she had changed completely. From what it looks like, she was simply able to control them better. However, he could see why she would have these bursts, as any child would. Her father was always busy and she had no mother to teach her and raise her. Yes, she had a nurse and some teachers to do the task but Vale knows it's not quite the same with out the woman who placed you into this world to give you the proper insight. In a way, Vale compared Eleanora as a child to how he acted now, and it was scary how similar they were. After his mother died, Vale was as stubborn and impulsive as she was. Having sudden anger, wandering around the kingdom without warning, wanting to please his father. Of course, now he was over it, and was only able to deal with his emotions by pushing them aside or avoiding them. And Vale had no reason to wish to please his father.
Vale sighed at her story of child stubbornness and despite the brightness, he still looked out the window, so that he couldn't feel embarrassed. "Well, not sure if it means anything, but that makes me even more proud to have received one from you." He said brushing a strand of hair back. He thought of something a looked back to her, "How busy do you think your father will be when we arrive? Perhaps we could have a chat." He said suggestively, "And maybe, later on, you could show me that favorite spot of yours. I'd love to see it. "

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Eleanora looked over to Vale and crossed her arms "I wonder who that Princess might be." She replied sarcastically before gazing back out the window. She couldn't wait till they got to Zimid. The idea of being able to see Zimid sights once more made her entirely giddy with happiness if she were to admit it. Though the passing fields didn't help her eagerness it was a feeling she was able to keep under control. No need to make a big commotion just because she was eager to be home already. Eleanora shifted slightly in her seat, while she wasn't normally so antsy during rides it was different as for once she was quite glad to be going to the destination.
She watched as he adverted his gaze from her. She smirked at his proudness to having gotten such a simple thing as a flower crown. It was nice hearing that he appreciated it though, it was nice knowing that people enjoyed the small things she did occasionally. She shrugged off his question though. She had a few thoughts on how busy her father was going to be but she didn't know for sure. "Hard to say. With all the recent changes going on inside Zimid I'd say he's fairly busy." 'Let alone tired...' The thought finished off her words to herself. Her father was most likely exhausted and given the fact that he had told her his increasing involvement with making sure the kingdoms land was maintaining proper life he must be tired. The royals in high positions such as being King or Queen were the ones who were in charge of keeping Zimid in such good shape. Of course, the people helped but the overall health was reflected upon the King. It was just part of what was needed of the royals. With Toryn's poor land many Zimidians were worried that something might happen to their homes if their neighboring land was doing poorly. Which if the false sense of alarm was true or not it had put a lot of stress on Eleanora's father and with the war having just ended a lot of things had been thrown into chaos. A chaos which she was to help with.
While she was deep in thought about her father's condition she couldn't help but bluntly ask Vale why he was curious in her little spot of the forest. "Why?" While she hadn't meant to sound so offensive about the whole thing she had just never shown very many people her favorite areas from when she was a kid and even less did she now. As she had gotten older she had less and less time to visit her favorite spots and her free time diminished greatly when her father married the new Queen. She remembered the whole event. She had only been twelve at the time when the two had married, she even remembered the time Cateline had been born followed by Farrin. The memories were bitter-sweet as she remembered showing a small Cateline around a small part of the forest, showing her old royals burial grounds and riverbeds. That had been one of the few times she had been able to go out and do something that wasn't related to the court or to other responsibilities.

Anzen Hatsukoi Guess who fixed their laptop? biggrin Took me hours but I got it running! ╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale snickered, "Pretty sure her name started with an E...", he said grinning to her and watching her gaze directed to the outside. The steady moving of scenery, while very nice to look at, was slowly turning his curiosity in Zimid into a strong boredom for the trip getting there. In a way, he prayed Zimid would be as exciting as he imagined since the trip was becoming unbearable and Vale had never been one for long trips. However, the little smirks and comments within their small talk make everything less insufferable. And, judging by the small smirk she gave after his embarrassing comment, she liked what she heard. And with that he gave a small nod, satisfied with her small but pleasant reaction.
Hearing her speak once more, and glanced over to her from the corner of his eye. Ah, about the king. He wondered what changes she meant exactly but he could probably figure it out on his own. Royals, especially during times like these, were always off or busy with something of the sort. With the kingdoms merging and the wedding, even the revival of both kingdoms after the war, he could imagine the king's involvement in many things and understood he would most likely be occupied with other things. Also, being that it's Zimid, they probably had a lot more to look after than Toryn did. Though, Vale assumed meeting the man your daughter just married for the sake of the kingdoms was a very high priority. Of course, sitting down and chatting for hours was probably out of the question, not that Vale wanted to do that, but because of his current business. A simple greeting was all that was needed, perhaps over tea if he liked it just as the princess did. But, no matter. He could introduce himself another time, probably when the kingdoms become stable again. Hopefully, the king doesn't strain himself with such matters.
He also awaited her answer on another topic, which she responded with a bit of tone. Vale blinked and looked at her. Why? He didn't expect her to ask why. He just thought it would be nice to show him. Now that he realized it, she didn't go into much detail about this place she used to go. Perhaps she didn't wish to show him? Vale raised a brow and grinned, "Why, I wish to embrace it's secrecy, of course. " He said sarcastically. "If you don't wish to take me, I don't mind. I just wanted to see where you spent your down time as a young one. It sounded very interesting." He said gesturing as he spoke and shrugging afterwards. With them being there, he wanted to witness all of the attention grabbing places Zimid had to offer, and with the Princess's small story, he added her secret place onto that list. That, and he thought going to a place such as that would bring them closer. Though, it was just a thought.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ "Does it really now? Our names must be similar then." She replied sarcastically to Vale as she fixed her gaze back on him for a few seconds. When were they going to stop? Even she was starting to get a bit restless now. She tapped her fingers on the fabric of her gown. But was soon greeted by the change of scenery. It was slowly getting more and more dense as trees started to form in clusters. Was this..? She shot off her side of the seat and tilted her body in a way to see if she was right, and she was. It was the forest barrier that divided Zimid from Toryn. From here on they were going to enter Zimid territory. While her sudden movements might have seemed less elegant she couldn't contain the joy she felt. The carriage slowly came to a stop and in an instance, her thrilled levels came to a halt. They must be taking a break now if the carriage was stopping. The door opened and she was helped out, she rolled her neck and stood on her tip toes to stretch her legs. She looked around to see the scenery. It was an odd mix of plush trees and slowly dying trees. It was like a line drawn in between the living and the slowly dying trees.
She looked over towards Vale and mulled over his earlier words. Was she against taking him to her childhood area? It was something she wasn't sure about. She had never brought many people there and to think she'd be bringing some guy there. There idea made her feel vulnerable. It was her special area where she had spent doing so many different things that going there with him was like opening an intimate piece of her being up for him to look and excavate. "I'll take you." She paused and averted her gaze. "But you've got to promise to not tell anyone where it is or how to get there." She gave him a serious look. While it might have been a childish request to her this area was all to serious for her. It was her only little corner of true privacy and even freedom. It was where she could relax and vent about things with the trees around her. Maybe it would be good to bring him there. The more she thought about it the more she wondered if it might work favorably. She never knew when they'd be back to Zimid and it was better to show him what the land had before anything more negative towards the Fae could pop into his from outside forces.
"The trip shouldn't be much longer hopefully. When we get there we can walk around the town. If you'd like." She reached up and grabbed a small leaf from the branch above her. She was giving such meek replies about things. It was so.. unusual. Maybe it was the idea that she was showing someone that could affect the whole of Toryn around. Maybe it was the fact that an actual human was to interact with her people, that she was opening her home up for an outside to gaze in on. Something about the whole thing was unnerving. She was nervous on the aspect he might not like it. He seemed so hopeful on what amazing things he'd see in Zimid that she felt if he was disappointed it might color his gaze poorly on the rest of Zimid. It was a lot of pressure the more she thought about it. Whatever the case she just hoped he liked the land some what as much as she loved it.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ "Very similar." He simply stated, ending his attempt to flirt with the princess, seeing that she wasn't going to budge this time. Although his efforts were often fruitless, it was a good strategy to get closer to her, or more, perhaps, under her tough skin. That, and he may or may not have placed bets to himself how quick she would fall for him. At the rate they were going, he would be losing. Tragically. But, Vale figured even if she didn't fall for him, she was still a pretty good companion to have around. She has like-able opinions with quite the a amusing attitude. One that even Vale couldn't get enough of. And with moments of thinking about more things he finds amusing about her, he noticed the oh-so-graceful princess leap out of her seat like a five year old seeing a parent after a three day business trip. Vale furrowed his brows at her and practically died of laughter. "You look like an excited dog.." He said his laughter slowly subsiding into small chuckles. It was almost cute seeing how excited the princess was. It hadn't been that long, has it? Though, if he were away from home in a strange place for as long as she had, he would probably miss home to this extent as well. Although she looked funny, it was nice to see the joy practically spilling out of her.
Vale could feel the carriage come to a slow, then a halt. Finally. Vale needed to stretch a bit. For a moment there, he was starting to reconsider the trip. He let the princess exit first, and then followed her, raising his arms above his head and stretching himself while also twisting his back a bit. Small pops could be heard which let him know that after this trip, he was going to need to see Carrie. Vale took a look around to see if he recognized anything, but then his attention was drawn to the apparent division of life and death. Was this between Toryn and Zimid? Vale's heart sank a little, seeing the actual difference between the care of life from Toryn and Zimid. He hadn't really thought just how badly they were harming their plant life, he just knew it was happening. But to the point you were able to differentiate between the two kingdoms was almost scary. And to think, the princess had been trying to revive this in Toryn. He sighed and took his mind off of it, looking to the princess instead. Just a couple feet within Zimid territory and he was already taken on an emotional ride. When he heard her words, he looked to her a bit astonished, walking up to her and holding his hand up in order to solemnly swear. "I won't tell a soul. You could even blindfold me on the way there, so even I wouldn't know how to get there or the location. Hm?" He said raising a brow and saying this suggestively. In a way, he saw this idea to be something interesting and humourous, mostly for him. Plus, this could open him up for some jokes.
Vale placed his hands in his pockets and looked up ahead of the path they were on. He was practically ready to be dazzled. He smiled and looked back to Eleanora, " Of course I'd like to. For such a bothersome trip, I'd like to see as much as possible. " He said, watching her mess with the leaves from one of the trees. In the beginning, he assumed all people of Zimid was like her, into plants and things of nature and what-not. Of course, that's what they do but they are all different in their own way. They weren't beasts like he thought. They weren't feeble or lesser like her used to think. They appeared to have a lot of aspects to them that Vale didn't understand, but with the time he had spent with the princess, hes become curious about them. Their individuality, their strengths and weaknesses, their likes and dislikes. Things they celebrate, the way they live and treat each other. In one way, he wanted to compare how they interacted with one another with the way humans did. In another, he just wanted to believe that there were no difference between the two. Either way was going to be fascinating to him. But he knew, whatever Zimid had, Eleanora loved with all of her heart. And he could barely contain his desire to know what it was as well.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ She shook her head at the idea of blindfolding him while taking him to her little hide away. Not only would that make the little trip getting there slow, it would make it to complicated for her to care. Though she supposed it said something about how much he trusted her. To allow her to lead him around blindly showed a level of trust she wasn't quite prepared for. "I'd prefer not to but I'll keep it in mind for the future." She looked back down at the leaf, it was leathery and a fresh green. She released it and let it flutter to the ground. She'd have a lot to work on if she was to help get Toryn back in shape. While it started out as a convenient lie to cover up the real reasons to her being she was making it a truth. She had played it off so many times that to deny it was slowly becoming unthinkable. If she said she was going to do it, even as a lie, she was going to do it. She had to think in the aspect of someone who had not one group of people to look after but two. Zimid and Toryn counted as part of her people now and lying to Toryn was as bad as lying to Zimid. She looked over to Vale and followed his gaze. It was heading up the road further into Zimid's land. She could tell he was eager for what was in store and she was eager to get into a familiar area along with some different clothing.
Flynn came up to her and bowed. "Princess, I would like to ask before we reach the castle, if I may be able return to my prior posting for the duration of the stay." His request was bold and he knew it but she accepted it non the less. She nodded. She wasn't surprised that he was eager to get back to serving the council instead of her. He had his preferences in people just as she did. She lowered her voice so that only Flynn could hear her, no need to get Vale involved in the discussion. "Yes, but be aware what you say will come back to me just as what I say goes to them." He nodded and with that he was off. Only to come back with a basket covered in with a cloth. She took the basket and gruffed at the slight heaviness it had. She peeped inside the basket. It was full of food that was meant for their Dinner. Had the day already made its way to halfway being done? She walked over a small patch of shade under a green tree. "Vale." She sat down and took the cloth off, folding it she set it in her lap. "Do you want to eat or should I give it back to Flynn?" She poked around to see what else there was in the basket. There was bread, what seemed to be salted meat and preserved fish along with a jar full of honeyed oranges and a jar full of candied nuts. There were a few filled waterskins in the basket, probably filled with wine in which she was good without for the moment.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ The weather was fairly nice today, not too hot or humid, not chilly or unbearable dry. This would just so happen to add to the reason he wasn't in a bad mood yet. Vale inhaled deeply, the smell of the life around them made him drowsy. But, of course, he fought this and glanced over to Eleanora, who had finally chosen to let the leaf go and watched it float it's way to the grass below. Vale heard light steps, seeing it was only Flynn. He had spoke something to her, though he didn't really understand the context, he dismissed it just as the other things since it was usually about Zimid. Plus, it wasn't really any of his concern. However, when she brought her voice down to where only her servant could hear, he was a bit curious on what she had to be so quiet about. In fact, he always had small hunches that whatever it was couldn't be shared with Vale exclusively. But he never had any reason to truly doubt her.
After her statement, Flynn left and reappeared with a basket of some sort. Of course, he automatically assumed it was food for the two to consume on the trip, and with such amazing weather, the two could easily eat out in the open. He watched Eleanora walk over to a tree and sat under it's shadow and followed suit. He smirked at her and sat next to her, feeling the difference in temperature from being in the sun to moving into the shade. "Ah, I'd love to eat. However, my body is so very drained. Perhaps my wife could feed me?" He said with a theatrical tone, and also adding in, "Oh! And, I believe I remember the name! If I recall correctly, it was Eleanora?" He said snickering and looking into the basket to see what they had brought for them. Bread, meat, fish, oranges, and nuts. It was apparent about which item were meant for who. He grabbed the salted meat and began to pick at it little by little, wanting to preserve the break they were able to have. He also got his hands on one of the water skins, opening it and tasting the sweet, tangy taste of wine. Who ever created wine was to become Vale's religion. It was such an amazing beverage, one he was introduced to at 5 years old. He looked to the princess, smiling. " Time flew by pretty fast. Probably because we were conversing and didn't even realize it. " He said, playing with the tips of her hair, something he had done before and apparently was beginning to form into a habit. In a way, he just couldn't resist it, it was something entertaining, feeling the texture and softness. Or perhaps he simply missed the times when his hair was just as long, but unconsciously. Regardless, he was doing it again, but with less attention to it.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Eleanora watched as Vale sat down next to her as she went through the basket's items. She rolled her eyes as she took out something to her own tastes. She wasn't to hungry but she figured it was better to get something in her now just in case supper came later for her. "Ah yes a ride in a carriage is such hard work for someone who does jousting." Being referred to as his wife still sounded weird, even if it had been a little while since the two had been officially married it was still new thinking that she was now someone's spouse. She opened the jar of honeyed oranges and took out some bread. Breaking the bread she placed a slice of orange onto it and took a bite. It was sweet. Just what she needed to make her midday even better, not that it was unpleasant but she was always welcoming of sweet foods. She watched as he drank from the skin full of wine. Even though she had been in Toryn for so long she hadn't had their wine all that often. She figured that the wine must not have tasted as good as Zimid's because of how their land was. Though maybe she was wrong. Grabbing the other skin she took a small sip. It was truthfully not that bad. While not the best it was better than she expected. She took another bite of her meal before closing her eyes and relaxing. It was nice. There was a soft breeze that blew occasionally, this was probably as calm as her day would remain once they reached the castle. She had so much to catch up on. From talking to the council to her father to how the general status of the kingdom was she'd have much to read up on. She weighed the options she had on all the tasks. If she did it once they arrived she'd be able to spend as much time as needed to showing Vale around, though of course it wasn't guaranteed. If she put most of it off she'd have to rush to get everything done before they left but she'd spend the first few days showing Vale around. Either way she'd be busy. She was never one to put things off and she wasn't wanting to start now. Of course she could just spend the day showing Vale around and the nights taking care of what needed to be done.
The last option sounded better than the others if she was honest. It'd be a bit tiring but when wasn't it? She nodded as Vale mention how the trip seemed to go by quite fast. "Maybe so." She paused and took another sip of her wine "That's a good thing I guess the sooner the ride is over the better." She closed her skin up and placed it back in the basket, she took another bite of the bread and tossed it to the side. She wasn't hungry before and the few bites was enough to fill her up and given the fact that offering Val the half eaten piece was a bit out of the question the only answer was to get rid of it. She dusted her hands off and sucked her thumb clean of sweet orange honey syrup. She felt like she had it on her face. Great. Putting a finger to the corner of her mouth she sighed. She did have some of the syrup on her. She used her thumb to rub the residue away, hopefully she got it all.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale chuckled at her comment, comparing the ride to his jousting. It was a bit funny how he could handle the pain and danger of jousting more than a simple ride in a carriage. It was the fact he had to sit still for so long, it was something he proved to be bad at. He observed her from the corner of his eye, seeing her pick up a jar with honeyed oranges. It looked rather tasty for some simple oranges, ones that he hadn't had since he was younger. He remembered his mother actually hated them and requested them to be taken away, something about the smell bothered her. Vale always found it strange since they smell nice and sweet but of course, it didn't matter much to him now. He could smell it now, actually. Very sweet and pleasant. He directed his attention back to the carriage, feeling a bit unsettled he would have to go back in again for the rest of the trip and back. He thought about how he was going to preoccupy his spare time there. Yes, she was going to show him around Zimid but considering she was back in her home kingdom, he assumed there would be times when she was going to be off doing something else. He would probably look for a small sanctuary when he arrived so he could lay low and properly dodge the queen if necessary. He couldn't bare being with her in the same room without Eleanora there. When the princess is present, it's a lot easier for him to hold his comments back.
Vale nodded in agreement about the duration of the ride. He could wait to find something a lot more comfortable than the carriage seats to sit on. At this point, he was fascinated by her endurance of it all. But, of course, she is a royal that is engaged in the kingdom's political affairs, so travel was necessary. He watched her drink some of the wine from the other skin, to which she seemed unexpectedly satisfied with her drink. It seemed she was getting used to Toryn food to where it didn't disgust her much, which was a good thing. He began thinking about the food they would serve in Zimid. It would be a bit strange to Vale, not eating any meat and such for the duration of their stay. Or perhaps they would conform to his diet? He doubted it, since they are not obligated to do so. Nor is their food any less edible than Toryn's. He figured he would be fine no matter the outcome. Glancing at her again, he watched her finish her eating and attempt to wipe away any syrup she had around her lips. Attempt. It appeared she still had some left which almost made Vale snicker. But he managed to hold it in. Should he tell her? Of course, that would be rude to let her walk around with it. Was this an interesting opportunity? Also, yes. He leaned in closer to her, leaving nothing but some inches between the two royals. He looked her in her eyes, which he noticed to be a beautiful shade of blue. He brought his hand up to her chin, lightly placing his thumb next to her lips and rubbing the remaining syrup she had missed away. Afterwards, he retreated back to his original place, licking the syrup he had take from the side of her lips. "Missed a spot. " He said raising a brow at how tasty the small bit of syrup was. "Oh, that's good." He said, complimenting the taste. He might need to get himself some oranges soon, too.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Eleanora let her eyes wander up to the sky as she watched as birds passed by. She wondered how Farrin was doing. Of course thinking of Zimid made her think of her little brother and the idea he was most likely playing alone was irritating and made her want the ride to last a shorter time. She felt a shift in the space next to her and looked in Vale's direction only to find his presence getting closer. She felt her breathe halter for a second as the space was so small between the two of them. His hand soon found its way to her chin. He was too close. This was the closest they had been of each other and the suddenness caught her off guard and feeling confused. She tensed as his thumb went next to her mouth. What was he doing? He wasn't going to try kissing or something was he? If it was possible for the fae to tense anymore she would have. He withdrew from the close distance and licked her thumb. She had missed a spot? Her mind went to the oranges. He did all that just to get a spot she'd missed? Eleanora relaxed slightly. "If you were curious on how it tasted you could have just tried some." Shaking her head she put in a few words on the situation before shifting and messing with the jars. Making sure they were sealed tightly and the bread was placed back in the basket before she dusted off part of her dress. "Thank you though."
She found herself ready to get going and finish the trip, the sooner the better. While she knew Vale might be the opposite of her when it came to the aspect, given the way he reacted thus far but for her the sooner something unpleasant was finished the sooner she could go about doing something more enjoyable. She put together a small list of things she'd have to do first upon arrival. One would be changing out of this unflattering dress, second would be showing Vale around the castle, and thirdly for now would be trying to see if father had some free time or atleast a small portion of down time for her to introduce him to Vale. The sooner the two met the better most likely. It wouldn't be good if the king of Toryn found out that Zimid's own king had little time to even talk to his daughter's husband. Of course if father would honestly grow to like Vale or not was something to later be found out. She hoped he would tolerate the prince enough to at least bare being around him. Much like herself her father wasn't too fond of humans. They had a similar mind set in that they weren't to fond of humans even now that the war was over. Of course she had a less displeased mind set when it came to humans but who knew how her father felt now that everything was settled. She stood up and stretched "Ready to set out yet?" "" ''
