This time when Taavi jogged through the set of tires, a Pidgeot noticed him and turned around to whip of a burst of wind at him... Except it wasn't strong enough to knock him over; slow his progress perhaps, but not affect his balance.

[Kat - Ralts - Pokemon Course -obstacle four]

She managed to get passed their guard, giving the Ralts in her arm a bright grin and hurried to the next task. "That was some good advice! We are almost in the home stretch now," she said.

"Ooh, well this one going to be difficult." She muttered reading over the sign. "Okay, we have to trick them. We are going to be off duty trainees," Because she was certain she wasn't old enough to be much of anything else and wasn't sure she could pass as a grunt. "We are going out for a run. So we are going to approach them like we know we belong. You good with that Hirro?"

The Ralts nodded, reaching out to bump her fist and straightened up.

"Good, Here we go." Kat smoothed her clothing down and set her shoulders, sauntering up to the group, focusing on the Gallade. "Excuse me, we have permission to go out for training." She said, voice firm and clear and body language relaxed as if this happened everyday.

[Henrietta - Physical Course, Obstacle 2]

And reach and...
"WAARGHBLUBGA!" Henrietta's surprised cry sounded almost like a Wartortle herself as she fell from the bars into the mud below, surfacing with a lot of laughter at just how wet and muddy she'd managed to get herself already.

She spent a good few seconds in a giggling fit before pulling herself up, wiping the water and dirt from, and further over, her face and grinning at the Wartortle.
"Man! You got me good! THAT WAS AWESOME! But I'm totally getting across this time! No way you're getting me again!"

And she got herself out, and back to the start of the same set of monkey bars, rubbing her hands together and shaking herself off for another few seconds before taking another leap, and reaching once more to try and get across.

Alright! Good job Taavi!

Grinning at himself for managing to keep his balance despite the buffeting wind stirred up by the rather beautiful Pidgeot Taavi took a running jump at the next obstacle and started to swing across the bars.

When Kat approached and claimed she had reason to pass, the Gallade shook its head and reached out to gently pat her on the shoulder. Nice try.

[Henrietta - Physical Course, Obstacle 2]

At the purple-haired trainer's startled cry and subsequent splat into the mud, the Wartortle fell over backwards with its hands on its stomach, rolling around laughing. It was too busy laughing to shoot more water at Hen - but unfortunately for her, one of the bars she grabbed was too wet and slippery to hold onto.

Oh no, you fell! Start over!

After Taavi's graceful jump to the next obstacle, his flowing movements brought him to the next bar - which was dripping wet and too slippery to hold onto.

[Henrietta - Physical Course, Obstacle 2]

"Whoop-!" SPLAT!

For a good few seconds, Henrietta was doing another Wartortle impression, this time specifically of the one that had been laughing on its back after squirting her.
She laid on her back, making a mud angel and laughing hysterically to herself before finally struggling up, slipping down again face first, giggling more, and finally righting herself to get back around to the start of the bars again. She was one over from the previous set of bars this time, and took a few moments to stifle her giggle fit- a couple of times she lapsed back into them- before yet another go.

Covered in mud, she imagined she looked like some kind of swinging swamp creature, and now she was smirking, trying to keep in her laughter and swinging at the same time.

"Oh shi-!" The end of Taavi sentence was cut off by him landing in the mud with a splat, which was followed by a gasp to replace expelled air and then a laugh. Okay, that had been a bit cocky he guessed, but no harm done! It looked like everyone around him was muddy too, and as he picked himself up he saw Hen fall off the bars too.

"Good try!" he laughed with a grin and a thumbs up as she made mud angels before returning to the start of the obstacle and made a second attempt at swinging his way across.

On Henrietta's next attempt, the Wartortle - who was still in range of her - was too busy copying the trainer and making its own mud angel, complete with a blurry smear of a tail at the bottom, which left nothing to keep Hen from her goal.

As Taavi hopped up to the bars again and began swinging across once more, a nearby Vaporeon darted over and shot a blast of water at his head. While the sudden onslaught would make the bars difficult to hold onto, it was definitely possible - as long as he took care not to let his fingers slip when the bars were so difficult to hold onto, of course.

[Henrietta - Physical Course, Obstacle Three]

And swing! And swing! And... THERE! She'd done it!
"YEEEEAAAAAH!" Henrietta laughed and started doing a little victory dance, energetically getting water and mud all over the place as she danced about in celebration of completing the monkey bars.
"I DID IT, I DID IT!" She chanted happily as she danced in a little circle, then spun to wave at the water types in the mud.
"Thanks guys! That was super awesome!" And then she sprinted off to the next obstacle, not much slowed down despite being drenched and mud-soaked.

She read the sign and gave a cocky little smirk.
"Man! Balance! I can totally do that! You're gonna have to try real hard to knock me off!" She called, with a good natured giggle, to the flying types.

[Taavi. Physical Course, Obstacle Three]

"Hey, we're doing pretty well hu?" Taavi grinned to Hen as he dropped off the monkey bars beside her. Did she ever run out of energy and happy? What was it like being that positive? Apparently positive anyway, maybe she wasn't really that upbeat internally? It was possible but hard to believe.

With a parting wave to the water pokemon by the bars Taavi headed for the next obstacle, and it was balance now? If he came across something like this in the field, a narrow tree fallen over a ravine he wanted to cross for example, he would do the sensible thing and crawl across but that obviously wasn't what the course designer - Avery he assume? - had had in mind. Well he wasn't going to be That Guy taking it all seriously - there wouldn't be any challenge in it anyway - and so Taavi stepped up onto one of the beams and started to walk across the gap with his eyes straight ahead.

A nearby Braviary puffed up its chest and squawked at Hen as if to say that's what you think! Once Henrietta had begun traversing the beam, the bird flapped its wings to whip up a strong gust to knock her off.

Once Taavi had gotten about halfway down the beam a Honchkrow suddenly swooped across his path, almost barreling into him as it passed - but it didn't, and instead immediately twirled in midair and summoned a burst of wind to knock the trainer off-balance.
