I used to think it WAS Merrick. I was all like "Why did they name him after the elephant man?"

Yeah, I prefer Malik. Though for some reason, if speaking out loud, I'm more likely to say Marik, just because I tend to assume people are dubbies, and it's easier. *Lazy*. It sounds similar enough anyway so eh.

@Morgey: Yes, I do the same. Sometimes I get so confused with myself, and I end up spitting out half the names in Japanese and half in English. X_x; Some of my friends watch the dub, some know the original and the names' get jumbled up in my head. But generally, like you I restrain from saying their Japanese names out loud.

I... I can't help it... gonk I've been watching the Japanese version for so long that I have to *think* about the dub names... I always forget characters like Otogi's dub name... and then if I'm speaking to a dubbie I have to pause for like two seconds and remember what the dub name is... ^^;; So I usually don't bother, and then end up only confusing people instead.

He's cool. I think he's my fave character in yugioh, actually. :]
At first he scared me, but now I think he's a cutie. He just needs some understandin' 3nodding I like Malik better, btw.
