i think the artist did that cuz white is so pure and innocent and beautiful like you stated, but when its around such characters that have such lusts for blood, the end result is like a fallen angel.
..or something...
the absurdity is just what makes everything so exotic and enticing and forbidden. gotta love it ^_^

I always think of really fancy schools with a white uniform. Black seems to be just average schools

Good question.
I think it's because white is elegant and the vampires are very attractive.
But I don't know, there's probably a better explanation then that. sweatdrop
