Peppermint Elf
A theme would be easier. Like you said, everyone's tastes differ. But if we had a theme instead of a pattern, I'm sure more people would be able to scrounge up a pattern they'd personally like. It'll also be more interesting for people who don't knit to see what everyone else chooses. 3nodding
ok, so what i'm thinking is choose a theme, then maybe toss out like, 2 or 3 patterns for each catagory of easy/beginner, harder/intermediate, difficult/experienced.
i don't think scarves and mittens are quite appropriate for summer. any idea for a theme to start with?

I think cozys... maybe. Cozys for ice cream pints, cups, ipods, earbud headphones... There's also wrist bands/gauntlets.

I'm trying to think of unisex items. If it were only girls here who knitted, I'd suggest tank tops or shawls (but even then, it' might be too complex).

or i would suggest hats.... iknow how to make hats.... and if i know how to make hats, then thy have GOT to b easy!
