I've noticed very "odd" lines... like "Accio Hagrid!" WTF?

Victoire is a Weasely with a French name still going to Hogwarts who was making out with a 19 year-old. My guess is she's Bill and Fleur's eldest daughter, which would probably put her at age 17/18.

Anybody notice the 19 connection? 19 years from the starting of the writing process for Harry Potter 1 to the publication of Harry Potter 7; epilogue took place 19 years later; number of Weasely kids has been confirmed to be 19. razz

Things that annoyed me greatly:

1) The amount of Writer's Hand in this novel:
-It was obvious that Lupin and Tonks would die once Teddy was made godson of Harry -it mirrors what happened to Harry and Sirius- but at least show us under what circumstances they died under and show us something to reflect the Teddy+Harry relationship.
-Fred's death served no purpose other than to show that Death can be sudden and meaningless. Ok, but you already perma-maimed George. Pick another Weasely, Rowling! razz
-Peter Pettigrew died because Rowling couldn't come up with a way for him to repay Harry, as was strongly forshadowed in book 4.
-The explanation of how the Elder Wand's true owner was Harry. It never really belonged to Draco! It should have lost its powers when Dumbeldore died! xp

2) How nobody named their kid "Fred" or "Sirius." James Potter Sr. was a major bully and had no relation to Harry, whereas Sirius was the father figure he needed. It would make more sense to name the eldest son Sirius James Potter. Meanwhile Ron and Hemione have a son named "Hugo?" So left field! Here's hoping George has a son named Fred.

3) Harry's scar remained after he came back to life. The scar was an unknown horcrux. Once destroyed, it should be gone or at least defaced, no?

4) Lily Potter crying. Shut up! You're nine-years-old!


Tidbits that I liked:
1)Albus Severus Potter. His name, his character, everything.

2) Dobby's death (how it was written and the effects it had, that is). Well done. However, I would have prefered it if it were Kreacher, as he was the house elf experiencing character growth in this novel, and because Dobby would have made a more appropriate leader of the elves at Hogwarts.

3) Scorpius Malfoy's name. How venomously appropriate for the family.

4) Neville becoming leader of the DA.

5) Neville becoming Herbology teacher. Everyone saw it coming, everyone's glad it did come. We love you Neville!


Future tidbits that shocked me:
1) Harry didn't become the Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher.

2) Harry will be an Auror despite not having good enough grades. Maybe the Encyclopedia will explain that an exception was made, what with he being the one to defeat the most powerful Dark Wizard in history and all... razz

3) That the Headmaster of 19 years later is someone unheard of. If not McGonnagal (sp?), wouldn't another head of house like Flitwick be the most appropriate? Spinoff series, maybe?


I hope Teddy Tonks gets a spinoff. There's lots of room since we know nothing about him. I wouldn't mind an Albus Potter spinoff, but he was more of a litterary device to show that things have come full circle.

The ministry took his body after he died to make sure the strength of Voldemort's actions never got out. She probably took it then.

I wonder if she was as evil as she was because she's been wearing the locket horcrux for 2 years?

And Snape was GOOD!
AND TONKS AND LUPIN got married ad had a kid!
BUT tonks , Lupin, snape. Fred, DOBBY, all died !
BUT Kreacher turned good
RAB was sirius's BROTHER!

Tell me if other main charicters died!

Hmm... I still want to see another book. She left too much open instead of closing off loose ends. Now there are more then ever it seems like XD

@Slanzer- I agree with the Peter Pettiegrew thing, I though he would have more to it then him killing himself.
The Elder wand doesn't lose its power because it can only be passed down if the person is killed by the hand of another. Since Snape used Draco's wand, Draco became the owner, but when Harry takes his wand by force it becomes Harry. Though I don't see how still that works, but oh well.
James was Harry's father, so how is there no relation? o.O He looked like him...
