Yami Takashi Ayanami Rei First Child I don't understand...what's so awesome about that? O.o Its not awesome....its...horrible.. Also I fear that emo little rping bitches will ruin Spice & Wolf just like Naruto and Inuyasha. Nothing worse then when everyone switches form one anime to the other like a virus. The Usernames are usually the first to be infected. just like you and your hentai obsessions just like a virus rofl

Well I wouldn't necessairly say that. I mean look at Ergo Proxy and other Anime on there. Besides I think they would be more distracted by the new Ninja Anime that Funimation put up!
I WOULD like to give money to Funimation by watching it legally when I can. Although if there's episodes Funimation hasn't put out, but I can watch elsewhere I will. ^_^;

But that anime wasn't co-opted by the fanboys because it's too dark and thoughtful for them...S&W, on the other hand, features a generally naked foxgirl, sooooo....yeah, they're gonna be all over that.

Well I wouldn't strictly say that. There are some more popular and thoughtful Anime out there. I'd say one of the biggest problems with Ergo Proxy was the fact that the last few episodes FAILED. First of all, they do a slower progression of the story, but then they make a HUGE leap in the story without warning. Then you have to EXTRAPOLATE, as in trying to work backwards to figure out WTF is going on with the story. It was VERY confusing, and poorly understood ending. stare
As far as I know Spice and Wolf doesn't have that problem. Not to mention there is something unique about a merchant being the same character, and all the interesting merchant talk. Not to mention the way they speak is quite lovely and eloquent which is something you see a lot less then, say the themes you find in Ergo Proxy sweatdrop

They're both great anime, each within its own genre. 'Sides, my argument wasn't that Ergo Proxy was better than S&W, just that the fanboys out there aren't going to care about how excellent it is - they're gonna be tripping over themselves to see the naked foxgirl. sweatdrop

on anime you should all check out though is Basilisk it may be a ninja anime but damn its one of the best ever and to think its a love story over everything else makes it that much cooler
