Donovan looked grimace as Elizabeth's nails dug into his arm. He leaned forward, his breath bouncing off her forehead since, even when they were kneeling, he was still taller than her. "What hurts?" he asked. For once, he actually let his concern for her show.

Elizabeth looked at Donovan as he spoke. She could see the obvious concern for her in his eyes which was strange of him. Never had she thought to see such concern for her be seen in his eyes, but she wasn't about to judge it. "It is nothing Donovan," she said to him lightly, "my back is just acting up."

Donovan frowned when he learned it was her back. "When we get out of here, you'd better get one of the nurses to look at that," he said. "Back injuries can turn bad real quick." He would know. His cousin had been seeing a doctor for back pain then he woke up one day and couldn't move his legs.

Elizabeth frowned back at him. "I know how bad a back injury can get, so don't lecture me about it." She released his arm and looked away from him and up at the workers above them, waiting for them to hurry and be through.

Donovan frowned as well. "Then don't say it's nothing when it could very well be something," he said. He looked over his shoulder but then looked back ahead when the workers finally broke through the last bit of rubble. They lowered down some ropes and one worker climbed down.
"Is everyone ok?"
Donovan shook his head. "I'm fine but she's got a back injury."

Elizabeth sighed and shook her head as she looked over at Donovan. She turned her gaze back to the man. "I am fine." she says as she forces herself to a crotched stand. "Lets get out of here now please."

The man looked between the two before shrugging. He looked at Donovan. "I assume you can climb up yourself?" When Donovan nodded, he carefully picked up Elizabeth, making sure not to hurt her back. He tugged on the rope and they were hauled out of the hole. Once they were out, nurses and emergency people saw to Elizabeth, asking her questions, if she was ok, if she was dizzy. The rope was thrown back down and Donovan climbed out.

Elizabeth flushed slightly in anger at all the people surrounding her asking her millions of quiestions. "I AM FINE! GET AWAY FROM ME!" she screamed at all of them, hoping they would listen and leave her to some peace and quiet.

Donovan pulled himself out of the hole just in time to hear Elizabeth's outburst. Sighing, he stood up and shook his head. Hearing someone yell his name, he turned his head and watched as his mother rushed over to him, looking frantic and scared out of her mind. He let out a grunt as she slammed into him, hugging him tightly.

Elizabeth looked over her shoulder and spoted Donovan getting tackled by his mother as he exited the hole that was made for them to get out. She let a small, gentle smile go his way. Even though he acted cold hearted and cruel mostly, she had found out that he did have a true sweet side, deep deep down. Her peace was broke as a doctor ran up to her and began to check her body for wounds. As he reached her back she let out a cry of pain. The doctor flinched at the cry and walked off to find some pain killer for her.

When his mother finally released Donovan from her iron grip, she asked if he was ok. Smiling weakly, he nodded but his smile vanished when she asked if he'd seen Theo. His expression darkened but not out of concern for his still missing brother. He looked angry, and even a little hurt. "No," he snapped. "I haven't seen him. In case you didn't noticed, I've been trapped in a freakin' hole all day."

Elizabeth could hear the conversation that Donovan and his mother where having. She frowned at his coldness to his reply to his mother's question. Any tenderness that he had earilier just left his body in that statement.
Elizabeth sighed and began to scan the crowd in search of Theo. Nothing. He was nowhere that she could see of. Maybe he was still in the rubble somewhere, dying. She shivered at the thought.

Donovan pulled away from his mother, opening his mouth to say something else but didn't get the chance. A commotion caught his attention. His heart started beating faster when he realized it was coming from where the throne used to be, where Theo was last seen.
He hurried over along with his mother, waiting anxiously for Theo to be freed. But, what they did find was not what he expected. One of the workers pulled out of the crowd, carrying something. He walked over to Marie and Donovan, whose blood ran cold. The worker was carrying Theo's crown, crushed flat.
"We haven't been able to find his body, but we did find this."

Elizabeth became destracted from the needle being stuck in her arm by the commotion farther off. She watched as Donovan and his mother ran off toward it. They where heading toward the throne.
Elizabeth felt her heart skip a beat at that moment. She stood up and ran full speed toward them, ignoring the flaring pain in her back. She shoved her way through the crowd until she was at the front. Her eyes locked onto the crushed crown in the hands of one of the many workers. Tears slid down her cheeks as she feel to her knees. "No," she said shaking her head. "No, no, no."

Donovan watched as his mother shakily reached out and took the crown from the worker. His hands shaking, he shook his head. This couldn't be happening. "No. No, he's not dead. He can't be." He pushed his way through the crowd of workers to get at the hole they'd made. Even though it was dangerous and they knew it was futile, they let Donovan dig through the rubble. He just kept saying over and over again that Theo couldn't be dead, that they had to keep looking. After a minute, his hands bleeding and bruised, they pulled him away from the hole. He fought back but just ended up breaking down in tears. He curled slightly, eyes closed tightly and holding his head between his hands, rocking back and forth.
