'Just the phones,' Seto replied, 'which are of course useless without power. Let's just try and get out of here as quickly as possible.'

It had been hours since her brother and Kaiba had taken off to talk to the occult specialist, and Shizuka was starting to worry. 'Hey Mokuba,' she asked tentatively, 'do you mind giving your brother a ring and seeing if he and my big brother are okay, and if they'll be coming back here tonight? I'm sure they are fine,' she said with evident uncertainty, 'but it might make sense for them to not try and fly back at night, depending on where they are now. Also, I can make up beds for you and Yuugi to sleep tonight, sorry if the two of you seem to have been stranded here.'

'Oh thank you so much for the offer but it isn't much effort. There is already a guest bedroom made up, so all that it will take is converting the pull out couch into a bed. You'll just have to decide with Mokuba who gets the double bed and who gets the couch,' she said with a slightly nervous laugh, waiting for confirmation that her brother and Kaiba were fine.

Seto only just refrained from jumping when Jounouchi slightly brushed against him in response to the mobile ring. He gave the other man a mocking look, as Jounouchi's fright had been much more perceptible, before looking down at his mobile. He sighed seeing the caller, but he supposed at this point they'd be sleeping in Domino, and his brother and Yuugi would probably be trapped at Shizuka's for the night, so confirming plans would be a necessity. He hoped he wouldn't be greeted with more hostility and mistrust from his younger brother, though it seemed quite likely that he would.

'Hello Mokuba,' Seto answered, using his brother's name to clue Jounouchi in on who the caller was, 'we were about to call you.' It wasn't exactly untruthful, he was already mentally planning to sleep in his own mansion tonight ever since Kaiba Corp became their next destination. He just probably would have prioritised setting up the book before making this call.

'The contact was either less helpful or less forthcoming than we might have hoped, but he's given us some information and a book that might be helpful, and what's he told us has given Isis an idea on someone who might be a better lead. We are at Kaiba Corp now setting up my computers to scan and decode this book, the next contact is here in Domino. As it's getting late it is likely we will get everything set up to allow the book to be dealt with overnight, and probably sleep back at the mansion. Are you and Yuugi alright to stay with Shizuka for a night,' Seto asked after his sparse update. To be fair other than a name Domon hadn't given them much else to work with at this point. Scaring his brother or Jounouchi's sister with some folk tale ghost name before they had a better plan of action seemed needless at the moment.

'Sure Mokuba, we'll be careful, you stay safe too,' Seto said, with as much affection as ever entered the CEO's voice. He was relieved that Mokuba had gotten past his anger with him, at least for now. He hung up and led Jounouchi to his office, they had a lot of work to do and only a few hours left before they were once again alone in the building.

'So they are okay then, what are they up to?' Shizuka asked when Mokuba hung up the phone.

'Thank you for making that call Mokuba,' Shizuka said kindly. 'Now it's getting late, I thought I'd prepare a small dinner while you and Yuugi decide who will sleep on the pull out couch and who will sleep in the guest room, if that's alright?' she half asked, half instructed, heading toward the kitchen to prepare some rice and steamed vegetables.

'Sure, that's the easy part. The annoying part is we will have to manually scan the book in first, which means scan one page and then turn to the next page before scanning again. As this text is over 500 pages long, and quite old and fragile, this will be a slow process,' Seto explained.

'Alright then, I'll just go make some food and after we eat I'll set up the pull-out for you Yuugi, and show you to the guest room Mokuba,' Shizuka said warmly, relieved that for now her brother was okay.

'Well, if you want to scan the book I can actually catch up on some of the work I'm behind on,' Seto suggested.

'No thank you,' Shizuka said politely. With that she left Yuugi and Mokuba to work a bit longer while she prepared their meal.

Seto set up the scanner and gave Jounouchi a quick run down of placing the book and scanning each page, also explaining what to press to have the scan saved as one large book file rather than hundreds of individual images. He then booted up his laptop and began catching up on the work he was several days behind on now. Seto felt a huge measure of relief just in returning to his normal routine.

However, with Seto absorbed in his work and Jounouchi concentrating very hard on the task at hand, a task that was new to him and thus slow going, both of them failed to keep track of the time. It was therefore close to 2am when Seto heard Jounouchi announce he was finished with the book.
