This is gaia, everyone has a fox friend. also my chibi isn't creepy. now if i removed the cowlick and gave it a disfiguring burn scar on its face, it would look like mello from Deathnote, and because of how yaoi fangirls work, i wouldn't even have to change the clothes. Now that would be creepy

My marketplace trend observation skills and planning ahead has payed off.
on Dec-07, I bought a MY Friend Cupid for 11.1k
Dec-07-2009 05:49:23 PM Yami Takashi bought (11,100g)
on Feb-2, I sold the My Friend Cupid for 40k
Feb-02-2010 01:15:45 AM TruuBluu bought (40,000g)
I made a profit of 28,100g because I thought ahead and bought a Valentines Day Item, and waited for the month Valentines would come, enviably increasing said item's value.
Much like how the Autumn Glory was only 17k in the summer, but when fall hit it rose to over 40-60k. The Let it snow was a lot cheaper before the winter season, and so were items like the snow witch, Diamond Dust and Polar Ice.
Its good to notice trends, and to take advantage of items more valuable during certain parts of the year.
I only wish I had the Gold to buy the Shadowlegend before it got a sword as a pose, and increased its value. When ever a sword becomes apart of a item, it typically rises the value. This is especially true of Anime/Asian theme swords.
Well anyway Here is Yami's monthly Marketplace advice. Buy the following items, for they will rise in value.
Sagamate when the next Twilight movie comes out, this will be many times more valuable
Nihonzaru Anime Items, or Items that can be used to make cosplay, especially sexy ones are a good buy.
Generally Buy anything with a Halo or Sword, These items typically rise in value. I bought a Archangel's Blade Sep-09-2009 02:49:35 PM Yami Takashi bought (20,000g) and it is now valued at 67k.

Ayanami Rei First Child Hmmm...then I should probably find a way to buy some EI or something and sell it to invest in other stuff then...or maybe some of my Donation Letters or something... unfortunately the thank you letters have suffered because of the EIs I have three thank you letters from 08. January, June and December. June Letters are usually a good buy because they usually have a halo, and they usually become the most popular. While I no longer have record of what i bought the letters for, they were purchased at or near 30k each as my memory of price during that time is very good. Thus far Dec has proved to be my best investment, tripling in value especially with its 1 year anniversary. January has doubled in value, but June has only seen a 18k increase EIs are too risky to really invest to much on, especially now that the average one cost 300k Its best to decide which EI will be more popular based on its theme, then buy it. If your a risk taker keep it until it evolves all the way, if not sell it as soon as it reaches 100k more then you bought it for. EIs with backgrounds/scenes generally do well from what I have noticed. Of course the Japanese inspired ones are the most valuable. Typically anything with an animal is the most risky. Take for example most of the MCs that are animals. Despite most of them being years old, they have barley increased in value compared to their other same year counterparts. MoMo the Monkey is over three years old, and has barley trippled in value. The best exception to the rule is the coco and kiki kitties. Items with the Grunny as its theme have also done well. Wild Things use to be as bad as MoMo the Money, but lucky for it, it has a tiger, wolf and (cocobo) which will make it more valuable then momo. Although the Wild Armor did seem to drag the MC down for many people. Now even though the Nihonzaru has a animal in it, you're really buying it for the Hotspring, which will carry it into a higher value. If i have to explain why the hotspring will be so popular, then I think you should aim lower in your investment portfolio lol.

Do you have any in particuarly you would reccomend, if I can manage to scrape enough gold together? I would try the shadowlegend gen 2 or 3, if you can tho, go with the 1st gen. I have noticed that the 2nd and 3rd gens tend to be worth more after certain evolutions of the first gen. Like if the first gen has a crappy update, people will down grade for the cool items the EI had before the crap update. Mizuchi's Jewel looks half and half. It could either be very popular for a while then take a nose dive. It makes me lean towards buying it, let it evolve then selling it when it gains just a little more value in the next stage. Much like a one night stand of coitus, pull out before its too late.

Another tip, buy things that are unpopular, but over time could gain value like piss poor MCS. When the Cash shop first came out, cash shop items were easier to buy with gold. I bought my Enchanted Book for 30k, not the 300k the new EIs cost now. I thought ahead and bought multiple angelic and demonic earmuffs. I bought the earmuffs for 7-10k, and now they're 24-25k. I even went so far as to buy multiple enchanted strings knowing that they'd at the very least double in value given time. I bought them for 9k, and now they're 42k. Really you have to be devoted to gaia to invest, because whats the point if you're just going lose interests and leave gaia. of course those types of people are good for getting excess items out of the marketplace. I stay because of the rping...even if i rarely get to do it, its just easier to do it on here then anywhere else. This is the most active forum I know.
