Actually, a lot of people hate Mokuba. They find him whiny and annoying. That knowledge is compliments of the Janime forums. *shivers*
I think I prefer the dueling episodes not because they're dueling, but because that's where the drama happens. The duels are where characters have revelations about themselves, or get in near-death scenarios, or find out motives. The plot moves and flows with the duels, so when you have dueless episodes, it's usually filler that doesn't have much to do with the plot. So I find those episodes less interesting, because they don't have plot or character development. I wouldn't mind episodes without duels that still move the plot and such, like the Egypt Arc.

Haha, I was kinda being sarcastic when I said that (although I don't hate Mokuba), but yea, I know. Haha. He's also presumptuous, if we are adding to a Mokuba fault list here, haha.
Haha, yes, that is totally what I also meant and assume came off by my very vague I want to watch card games statement. Because if I REALLY wanted to just watch card games, I wouldn't resent the fact that since we all turned 21 every Tahoe trip has basically become 50-80% (if not more) Casino time. xd Although while I've only played a handful of times (because I don't have a deck so of the few people I know who play, I'm also reliant on the even fewer who have multiple decks) I do find duel monsters a better card game than most casino games. Casino games are so boringly mechanical. At best the filler tends to deal with minor side aspirations of minor characters, and bah to that!
One could say the Egypt Arc is one giant duel (without cards). razz

Ah, yes. True, true. XD
I like Texas Holdem and other Pokers well enough, but that's about it. And I don't like them enough to play all the time, like I do Duel Monsters. That is definitely my favorite card game.
Kickass.

Yea I'm not a big poker fan. The only casino game I like is blackjack, but I'm not putting up the kind of money you'd have to put up to have a decent chance to win anything back in that game.
I assume that you weren't referencing the movie, but now that you've said it I'm thinking about it, have you seen it (Kickass)? Twas not what I expected, still not sure what I think about it, other than I do love Hit Girl, and that Nicholas Cage has this ability to frighten me like none other. xp

I've only tried Blackjack once when I was younger, and didn't really like it, but I dunno, maybe I'd like it better now.
I wasn't referencing the movie, but I was also thinking of it after I wrote it. XD I loved that movie, actually. Loved the comic too. Thought they both had their strong and weak points; if they had taken all the good parts from the comic and put it with all the goods parts from the movie, it would've been perfect, because it seemed like every time the movie did a part right, the comic did it wrong, and vice-versa. But anyway, Hit Girl was pretty cool, though I really liked Red Mist. XD He was such a nerdy lame villain, and I loved him for it.

I like it and it's more fun with stakes (which is why I play it on Gaia with the DC tokens), but I am too frugal with real money. Its not quite as fun without stakes. As with most gambling games, the kitty pushes how you play. I did have a lot more success with Gaia after a friend taught me casino strategy to BJ on a Tahoe trip. It's not infallible but I win much more often now.
I think I loved it but I might have hated it, I can't decide, haha. I do kinda like Red Mist too. I haven't read the comic, but if I ever have more free time (ha!) I might check it out. I only randomly ended up watching it over winter break at a friends house, and hadn't put much thought into it before. They are apparently making a sequel. Kick-a** 2: Balls to the Wall (2012)? Idk, went to look up something on one of the actors and noticed this.

I don't even remember how to play Blackjack, but I'll take your word for it. XD
Heehee, well Red Mist was a lot less likable in the comic, but whatever. And a sequel eh? Sounds, ahem, kickass. XD

Blackjack is pretty easy. You get two cards, you keep asking for more until you are as close to 21 as you think you can get. You get over you bust and lose. The person with the highest number that didn't bust wins. Sometimes there are ties. Blackjacks (as in you were automatically dealt 21 - so an Ace and a Face) are automatic wins. 1 card is face up so that everybody KNOWS what it is - and you can try and guess what other people have to know what risks you should take. And that's what my friend taught me (which is why I bored you with a break down on play), how to evaluate the risks to know when you should hit it or quit it. wink Especially in casinos b/c there is also the strategy to screw the dealer as well as to just benefit yourself.
Hahaha, pun!

Hm, yeah, sounds like simple rules, but a game that I would hate. XD I really don't like those games where you take risks to add to a certain number. They just bother me for some reason.

I hate most characters in any series. I don't like Mokuba that much at all. I also don't like Anzu, Honda, Yuugi, Atemu, Shizuka, Ishizu, Rebecca, Vivian, Raphael, the evil villain's henchmen.
However, I do like Yuugi, Atemu, Shizuka, and Shizuka as their Abridged counterparts.
Oh, yea, I don't like Ryou either.
[The Characters I Like/Can Tolerate] Malik Ishtar. Yami Marik. Pegasus. Siegfried. Valon. Mai Kujaku (they really bullshitted her character though). Rishid Ishtar. Jounouchi Katsuya (tolerated). Seto Kaiba. Haga (tolerated). Ryuzaki (tolerated). Thief King Bakura.
You know, I don't really like Yami Bakura either. Oh, and Mana, I HATE her! HAAAAAAATE. I had to drop an RP that paired her with Malik, because I'm a little b***h that can't share him. ]:< This may also be the prime reason I hate the Bakuras (since they're usually paired with him).
Even characters I like can get on my last nerve. Like when Malik returned to Egypt, I was all, RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE. That place has horrible memories for him and he RETURNS?! WHY?!
If I wrote the show, it would be called Malik-i-oh. It would probably be centered around more gore and terrifying scenes than card games, though there would probably still be a few of them (and if so, a greater variety).

First! Finally catching up on my TAS.
Yugioh in 3D - Well it's just an advert, but I love that Pegasus likes Spice World (he would), that it's a VHS, and that Seto isn't in the movie - not like really love that, a movie dedicated to material in which I'm not familiar with at least 2/3rds minus my favorite character is of no intrigue to me. Not to mention 3D makes me kinda ill and I don't like the glasses. However Seto's realization only at the end is adorable.
Rap - Not that impressed honestly. Although I was amused in that his initials stand for his name! Heh, like idiot, lol. What's with the glowing creepy eyes? Does he do that in the show? Why?!
5D in 3D - Seriously disturbed me. Though liked the convo with Yami and Yuugi at the end. It tantalized both my constant "hey I want new episodes!" rant and my "Yuugi is a whinny little b***h" rant. razz
Back to off topic... razz
@Kits - Well yea, that's one I don't like gambling, they are all risks to make something/land on something. I mean I enjoy the stress, but I can't stand the loss. Blackjack is 100% stress though, it's not long enough, there is not enough play or thinking to bore me. So I get my high and it's over. However as I don't like loss I wouldn't really gamble on that anyhow. However most games it's a lot of sit and watch and wait. They are slow as you wait for the "bam stress reveal."
Yesterday I played Zombie Fluxx, granted the girl who owns the game was impatient and there were many mistakes, that was kinda funny though. We were playing in a bar during Rock Society (and it was REALLY loud, at least it was "our" music - as in we got to DJ. The our is in quotes because well, can't say I have the same tastes as all the society members who DJed last night). It was kinda awkward because the night before I had a vivid terrifying zombie dream, so yea, of course zombie fluxx is going to be thrown in my face. But that's ok. I'm also keeping it in mind as a gift idea for a friend who really likes zombies. I probably need to own Monty Python Fluxx, it's an English major thing. razz
@Hawk - I dislike a lot of the ones you dislike as well, so I guess I can't say I'm too different in regards to YGO. However I do rather like a lot of the abridged versions of characters I dislike, usually because I enjoy the mock they place on these disliked characters (like with Honda or Anzu), or because they pull out a nice little alter side (like with Yuugi). In general I'm more likely to dislike female characters in a series, not because I want to. They just end up so flat, or stereotypical, or sue like, and I can't stand them. Female anime characters are often times not realistic. And they bug me. I do like Mai in YGO (Rosette in Chrono; Haruhi in OHC - though her existence causes things I dislike to happen, but that's not he fault; Tohru's friends (but not her) and Kisa in Fruba; Almost all female characters in FMA actually (I both like and hate Winry); almost all of them in Inuyasha actually; most of them in Ranma 1/2 (though resent the insanity they pose to pairings), I think only a handful in Naruto...mkay I'll stop, I have a propensity to lists).
I love Mana, but I wouldn't ever pair her with Malik. I mean not being interested enough in Malik I can't say I'd necessarily pair him in anything, but if I did it wouldn't be with Mana. Seems a little to inventive as they really in no way cross canon. I do understand disliking characters based on who they are paired with though, even canon (that falls into my love/hate relationship with Winry. I like her but I don't like her with Ed. And in part b/c I'm slightly possessive, but a lot I just don't like specifically her and Ed. Like the minor hints that came up between Ed and Rose didn't bother me, and I'm fairly certain it's because I wouldn't mind Ed and Rose rather than it just never got major enough to bother me. There was also a really minor villain, who might only be in the manga or the original anime - haven't seen the new one - whose name I don't remember. I totally woulda paired them. Ok way to tangent again. Oh, before I stop, that's a big part of why I hate Ginny in HP, now Harry I don't think I'd pair with anyone. Harry's entire purpose is to suffer!!! Ginny ruins this).
You should like go check out the character threads and expound on feelings and thoughts, because you seem to have several. Not every character has a thread yet, but there are around 10 or something up there already? Plus it's sometimes more fun to expand on the characters we hate more than the ones we like.
Hmm, this isn't currently as often topic as I thought (like it's mainly on YGO here, hehe). Too lazy to scroll back up and erase my "and now back off topic" comment...plus I likes it. rofl

JuokasKurvas Seems a little to inventive as they really in no way cross canon. Sometimes I deliberately ship things where this is the case because it confuses people and I find that amusing.
Blackjack is awesome.

I might look in Malik's thread later, just to post a rant.
I only like Kagura, Sango, and Kikyo from InuYasha (out of the girls, that is). I haaaaaaaate Kagome. Why? Oh, no real logical reason. But I do hate how some people pair her with Sesshomaru.
Screw Ginny. Harry can do better. But really, I wouldn't put him with anyone in the series. Hermione and Ron, on the other hand, fit perfectly together.
EDIT: Oh, snap. You cure split personality disorder by merging the two personalities? I really didn't know this. But in one of my fanfics, I had it where Yami Marik and Malik's personalities merged after he was banished. I thought it was a bit too far-fetched, but I made it that way, because I enjoy some of Yami Marik's qualities.

@Morgey - Usually pairings are for my interest, I can't be bothered to take the time to do something that doesn't serve my own wants and needs.
Yes, yes you do!
@Hawk - I like Kanna (weirdly adore her), Kagura, Sango, Kikyo, Rin and even Kagome. Though of them all Kagome is the one who often gets on my nerves. Sometimes Kikyo. Never Sango. I think off the top of my head the only female character I can think of that annoys me is Ayame (anime only). Kikyo's "little" sister I like well enough too, though I can't remember her name for the life of me atm. I don't like Kagome paired with Sesshomaru though. Though I pretty hardcore keep her paired with Inuyasha which is why I don't really like that. Granted hypocritically I suppose I've slashed Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. Though regardless of which way I've gone it's always been 100% rape.
Harry could do better (Ginny is not that great), though I really don't want him to. If I paired him with anyone canon it'd be Luna, but even then I'm not exactly loving it. I just love it more than anyone else. Hermione and Ron are perfect though, I've adored them as a couple/future couple pretty much from book 1.
Makes sense. I mean personalities are a part of you, it's not like you just banish an evil part away. It's not an "other." It's why I don't really like Malik so much after Battle City, he completely defies that. I mean he's not similar to his Yami nor to himself when not influenced. He's almost a completely new person. THAT was far-fetched.

@Hawk: Hmn, for the characters you listed... Mokuba I find okay, though he's not a character I would change at all if given the opportunity. Anzu I used to hate, but like decently enough now. I guess I find her okay like Mokuba. Honda I love; he's one of my favorite characters, though I hate him in the first Yuugiou series. Yuugi I love, though not quite as much as Anzu. Yami Yuugi I despise; my least favorite main character. Shizuka I love; she's my second favorite. Isis I like, though she's not one of my favorites. Rebecca I tolerate because she can be funny, but overall don't like her. Hate Vivian, love Raphael. Raphael's one of my favorite 'villain' characters. Bakura Ryou I love too, though he's not a big favorite. I sometimes like, sometimes love both Malik and Yami Malik. Pegasus I love, though not so much in an "I'm connected to his character way," Siegfried is similar to Pegasus. Hate Varon, like Mai (she used to be one of my favorites, though lost some of that after Battle City), Rishid I love and is also one of my favorites, Jounouchi is my favorite, Kaiba I love, Haga and Ryuuzaki amuse me, but that's it with them, and Thief Bakura I like a lot, though don't feel I saw enough of him to feel anything more than that. Yami Bakura I like a lot as far as villains go, but since I tend not to care for villains, he's not a favorite. Mana I'm pretty neutral to, mostly because I liked her, but hate the Black Magician Girl, so it kind of balanced out.
@JK: Pegasus has loved Spice World since I believe season one of The Abridged Series. XD He watched it in that, then made Kaiba watch it when he was trying to find out who his real father was. (by the way, that's where I was thinking LK had mentioned Ghost Nappa before; he ended up being Mokuba's father, but not Kaiba's) But I loved the part where it first showed Kaiba sitting at a big screen in 3D glasses. XD
What were the glowing creepy eyes again? I don't remember who had them or what part it was on.
And as long as we're off topic, just wanted to say, I was accepted to go to Japan this summer! Yay~
I don't like Fluxx either. I'm very picky with board/card games, because I don't like when they get too competitive or too stressful. XD;; I've played Zombie Fluxx though, and though I prefer it over normal Fluxx, still don't care for it.
I tend to not care for the pairings that put ancient Egypt characters with present characters, unless they have some form of connection with the present characters (Atem being sealed, then being in the present as Yami Yuugi, so being paired with characters; Set being almost exactly like Kaiba, so being paired with present characters Kaiba would be good with, etc.), because there just seems to be no reasoning to it. It's so random. I'm okay with occasional pairings of characters who haven't met if the personalities go together, but when one is from 3000 years before the other, that's just too much complication to make a random pairing worth it.
Aaaand, I generally try not to let myself dislike characters because of pairings, but I will admit that's part of the reason I hate Ginny so much, because she's paired with Harry. I don't really like him with anyone either, but would definitely put him with Luna if anyone. Possibly Hermione, because I like those two together so much in the movies, and (prepares to be shot) I hate her with Ron.
...why you rubbing in that I haven't updated the character threads in a while? XD;; I'll get on it soon, I promise!
@Morgey: Update more, woman!
@Hawk: Yup, as far as I am aware, merging personalities is the only way to get rid of split personalities. It's a very long process though and takes a lot of help. I always thought it was strange though, how Yami Yuugi could just destroy that aspect of Malik and it was gone forever, instead of it merging.
@JK: I suspect Namu was actually a *third* personality of Malik's, and when Yami Malik was destroyed, somehow normal Malik was too, so only Namu was left! Dun dun dun! That's why he was so different! XD
