"Dead to the World" - Nightwish

Man, I just love symphonic metal.

@Stef: I guess your right. It's just I don't usually see vinyl LP's sold in many stores anymore, but I guess you just gotta look in the right place.

It's just I was browsing for a Korn album in Best Buy once and I glimpsed at the Metallica section for a brief moment and saw Death Magnetic available in a vinyl LP and I thought "Wat? They actually still sell records in vinyl?"

Symphonic metal is the s**t. Do you listen to Rhapsody?

I collect vinyl, personally, but I try and find everything for a quarter at yard sales. >_>

"Holy Thunderforce" - Rhapsody

@Stef: You bet I do! Hell, you're the one who made me knowledgeable of their existence.

Also, if you haven't already, check out the bands Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Tystnaden if you're into metal bands with female lead singers.

Sweet, I love Rhapsody. I can't say I really listen to any girl-singer metal, but I've heard some Nightwish and I wasn't too impressed, unfortunately. =/ sorry

What Nightwish did you listen to, Stef?

I can't even remember... "Ghost Love Score" was one, and it had some good stuff in it but ultimately didn't win me over.

That one is off of Once, their last album with their old singer. That album has some good songs, but it's not their best. I didn't like get a huge kick off of that album.

Try some songs off of Oceanborn or Century Child, those are their best albums...specifically the songs "Stargazers,""Gethsemane,""The Riddler,""End of All Hope,""Slaying the Dreamer," and "Beauty of the Beast."

"The Kinslayer" and "Wishmaster" from their 2000 album Wishmaster are pretty good too.

Oh, well, try them out if you want to, Stef. If you don't like the band, I don't have a problem with that.

I've heard a lot of good things about them, so I'll probably give them another shot sometime.
