Sola cursed. "That's the girl! Why the hell didn't you say something?!" She hissed at him as she turned to her companion and ordered him to round up help to find the girl. "She's not as fast as us come on. Suck it up and let's get moving, he'll stall the council for us."
A good way ahead of them the sounds of a bridge collapsing could be heard along with a struggle. A strangled scream was cut off.

"You didn't really give me much of a chance." Kai stated angrily, wasting no time as he shot off towards the fallen bridge. Not daring to what he leaped into the dark abyss without hesitation, landing on the back of a rather large and angry troll.

Three dark cloaked figures stood a little further back, Saiya stood with them, her eyes glazed over.
Sola quickly helped Kai take down the Troll and froze as she grabbed Kai's cloak and pointed. "You didn't tell me they were involved." She said as she looked at him in concern.
There was a woman with them. She was dressed in rich back leather and she wrapped her arms around Saiya in a possessive manner. She pulled the girl back with her towards the shadows.

"That's because no else knows about her powers." he hissed, surprised once again by who the woman in front of him was. Time to play coy... "Go so soon Hulinn?" he asked taking a step forward, as he prayed to whatever god their was that Sola would know when to play cool and just go along with it. "But its been so long." Kai added, gliding forward another step. When he'd been with the Order he'd run into Hulinn during one of his missions. She was a feisty Supernatural mercenary up for hire by whoever could afford her prices, and she just happened to somehow create this almost psychotic and more then slightly stalker-ish crush on Kai when he'd foiled her attempt at stealing one of the Order's artifacts. Maybe I can use this to my advantage...

Hulinn smiled sadly at him as she ran her fingers through Saiya's hair and kissed the girl's temple before pulling her further into the shadows and away from Kai. "Say goodbye." She told him as she seemed to hug Saiya almost fondly. "You can't fight them." And she was right, they were too powerful and they always got what they wanted. "You can have the information if you want, but not the girl." Hulinn's dark hair mixed with Saiya's, the same color.

He silently cursed as he glided closer to Hulinn. "Maybe not. But wouldn't bringing in the infamous Tungl as well as the girl?" Kai asked calmly. "I did after all foil every attempt they tried to break into the Order to steal all the goodies locked away in there. And I'm sure these lovely goons they sent with you are just dying to get their hands on a big break like this."

Hulinn sighed. "You don't know the power you're trying to keep from them." She told him. "Neither does she." Hulinn shifted her hold on Saiya so that it was protective. "One step further and they are prepared to kill her." She warned him. "Do you want the information she holds or not?"

Kai gritted his teeth, knowing that given his options his heart could only really accept one option. "Yes, as long as you promise not to hurt her." he answered, stopping where he was with his arms held out slightly to show no harm.

Hulinn nodded. "Go ahead sweetheart." She said softly to Saiya as she released her hold on the girl. Saiya moved forward slowly, once she was far enough away Hulinn turned on the cloaked figures and took them down violently and viciously. Saiya wavered on her feet as her vision cleared and Hulinn took her arm to keep her steady as she moved towards Kai. "I believe we are late for a meeting." She said as she kept hold of Saiya, her grip gentle and clinging at once, as though she were desperate to keep contact with Saiya.

He could have almost laughed. "Finally decided to put the good of our species over money Hulinn?" Kai asked, moving to see if Saiya was alright.

Hulinn growled warningly at Kai. "No. My family is more important to me." She hissed as she picked up Saiya gently.
Sol blinked. "I knew it you whore!" Hulinn rolled her eyes. "She is not my daughter you idiot. She is my niece." Hulinn corrected before Sol had a chance to open her mouth again. Hulinn and her younger sister were both halflings, their skin a light dusted color rather than the average dark color. It was a stark contrast to Saiya's pale complection, proving the girl was barely a quarter elven at all.

Kai blinked in confusion before deciding to let it go for another time with a shake of his head. Ignoring Hulinn's growl he removed a small medical kit from inside his robe and wrapped a cut on Saiya's arm. "Why does everything have to be so complicated?" he muttered to no one in particular.

Hulinn smirked. "Cause you can't seem to avoid my family." She teased as she watched him. "You do remember Saiyori don't you? Powerful seer who disappeared?"

"That explains somethings." he commented, ignoring Hulinn's earlier remark. "We better get to the Council hearing before they decide to investigate." Kai stated once he was sure Saiya was alright. He brushed her hair out of her face before standing up. "And lets please remember that they don't know that the concerned guide Kai is really the Tungl Þjófur they've been hunting for. Alright?" he asked, moving to one of the alley's walls. Bending his knees he lept, grabbing the edge and pulling himself over. Taking the rope from the now destroyed bridge in front of him, he secured it and threw it down to the others. Things were definitely getting to interesting for his tastes tonight.

Hulinn did not put Saiya down, leaving Sol to glare at her as she did all the work in reattaching the bridge. The girls joined Kai on the other side and Hulinn eyed Sol. "I can explain my connection as I'm related to the girl, what is your connection to the woods guide girl." She said in a condescending tone.
Sol narrowed her eyes and snorted at her. "I do not have to explain anything. I was sent to escort the female and since I now have T-Kai in my grips again I will not be allowing my betrothed a second chance to ditch me."
