((I got to go. crying My mom's making me hang out the laundry before getting ready for school))
Donovan stared down into Elizabeth's eyes. His hand slid up her back to wrap around her shoulders. "You're not alone in this," he told her, though he spoke quietly and his earlier sobbing had left his voice scratchy.

Elizabeth sniffled lightly and stared at him for a moment before she stepped closer to him and hugged him, buring her face into his chest. "I know... I know," she said gently. "It must be so much harder for you though. You are his brother."

Donovan didn't say anything. What could he say? No? He was fine? He would get over it? No, he wasn't fine. He wouldn't get over it. At least, not anytime soon. Every part of him hurt and he didn't think the pain would ever go away. His arms slid around her waist and he buried his face in her hair.

Elizabeth listened to the silence after her statement. She knew how much it hurt him to lose Theo after he already lost his father. She wished she could say she knew how he felt, but in reality, she didn't because has not lost anyone until now. However there was the small chance that he wasn't dead, that they simply haven't found him yet, but everyone knew the chances where slim to none.
With a small sigh she finally broke the silence. "Donovan, I am sorry about all this. I truly am. I would say I know how you feel, but then I would be lying, so I am just going to say that I am here for you."

Donovan lifted his head and looked down at Elizabeth as she spoke. He smiled bitterly at her words. "You say that now," he said. "but you will come to hate me." He leaned down and kissed her cheek before stepping away. He cast her a look filled with emotion before walking away.

Elizabeth's lips fell into a deep frowned as she watched him walk away. She ran her hand through her hair in annoyance before she walked off to head for the stairs to go to her bedroom to take a long shower.
As she reached the top of the stairs and began to slowly walk down the hallway she passed by Theo's room and then stopped in midstep. She turned around and stared into the room before she walked inside and headed for the bathroom in his room.
As she shut the bathroom door she undressed and turned the water on so the tub could fill. She stared into the mirror, looking herself over. She looked like a mess, but she didn't care. She just wanted to lay in the tub and rest for now and worry about everything else later.
Once the tub was filled she turned the water off and she stepped into the water. She hissed as she sank herself into the blazing hot water. Once in the water she leaned back and became use to the heat and just laid back and shut her eyes.

Donovan decided against going to his room. He couldn't deal with that right now, not on top of what had just happened. Instead, he headed to the one place he knew he would be accepted. So, he walked out of the palace and headed for the garage. He grabbed the keys to one of the cars before getting in. Using a remote control, he opened the garage door and drove away, heading towards town.

Elizabeth finsihed bathing after a good hour soak in the tub. Letting the water drain she stood up and wrapped a deep blue towel that smelled of her dear Theo, around her slim body. She combed her hair then went into her own bedroom to get clothed and lay in her bed.
As she closed her eyes and she quickly fell asleep and torturious dreams began to fill her mind. Her body tossed and turned in the bed as the dreams ravished at her mind.

Donovan looked around at the people that attempted to comfort him, then at the blond beside him who remained silent but whose presence was a comfort of itself. The thick smell of coffee and cappuccinos filled the air, surprisingly, making him sleepy. The regulars of the coffee shop offered their condolences and tried to be optimistic, since the searchers hadn't yet found Theo's body to confirm he was dead but they all knew Theo wasn't coming back, whether they found the body or not.

Elizabeth woke up, sweat and tears running down her face. She sighed lightly to herself as she stood up out of bed and slipped some flats on. She headed down the stairs and walked outside. The gentle breeze was calming as he blew past, the trees nearby groaning lightly.
She began to walk up to the edge of the driveway and began to walk alongside the road that headed somewhere, where she did not know. She simply walked and enjoyed the peace of the night.

((Yeah, well, I didn't exactly give you much to do ^_^; ))
Donovan sighed as he drove home. After spending hours at the shop, they'd told him to go home and get some sleep, though he doubted he would get any. He could see a sleepless night ahead. However, when his headlights caught someone walking alongside the road, he slowed, pulling to a stop when he realized it was Elizabeth. Rolling down the window, he told her, "You know, it's not exactly safe to wander around at night."

Elizabeth looked over at the car that pulled up and noticed it was Donovan inside. "I think I will be fine." she said with a small frown before she began to walk once more down the road.

Donovan frowned and sighed before turning off the car. He stuffed his keys in his pockets and got out before locking the doors. Turning, he followed after Elizabeth. He wasn't about to let her wander around, alone, at night. Besides, with what had just happened, he wouldn't put it past her to do something she would regret.

Elizabeth heard the engine be cut off and the door shut. She ignored it for a moment before she finally sighed and turned around to face Donovan. "I said I will be fine. I am just walking around. Not like I am going to jump in front of a car or something." she said with a light roll of her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest.
