But Ukyo, if Quebec separated, you know you would be cut off from the rest of the country. After all, the closest province to you is Quebec. xD
You'd have to go through Quebec to get to Canada.
But I guess that doesn't really bother you too much.

Btw, I'm so going to Newfoundland for a vacation one day. I got obsessed with slideshows of it all over youtube and now want to go.

I didn't say the moon landing was fake. It's very real.
It's sad that people just can't understand that something like that is impossible to fake...

Come to St. john's. I'll give you a grand tour ~_^
And what about Nova Scotia? That's close to us too you know lol

I never said you did, and that's disputable. But impossible to fake? I won't laugh (no, really), but where is this coming from?

It's coming from common sense, lol.
You can't recreate the conditions on the moon on earth.

Zaylx, I thought you were joking about the moon being fake.
Don't tell me you actually think its fake. xD

Its impossible for it to be fake.

I was joking, and I don't believe it was staged. But you should know well by now, Danny, that I'll defend a point whether I believe it or not.
Anyways, the conditions? If you mean the gravity, wires have been easily imitating that for decades.
edit;; Dan, we're talking about the moon LANDING xD

Wires can provide imitations, yes, but they're pale imitations. They can't replicate low gravity, just make something that looks kinda like it.

I'll add to Zaylx's second line there. Durithill, remember in Physics about 'apparent weight'? That would apply on the moon, and it would also apply in aircraft descending/ascending, and it would apply for people in elevators. I don't think it would take much to achieve the same feeling on the moon, on earth.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 25, 2009 7:46 pm
who could tell the difference? And especially on old, low-definition TVs.
'ya know, the jumping seems kinda off there. Almost like there's a wire.'
'Yea, well, you go to the moon and try jumping.'

Right, but you can only keep up that "apparent weight" for a short amount of time.
Not to mention that you'd have to create a vacum, set up filming equipment, etc. While in that aircraft.
They do it as part of atronaught training, actually, but the reduced apparent weight only lasts for a few seconds.

Edit: Well it's not just the jumping. All the equipment acts as if it's still under the full effect of gravity, so the helmet and backpack 'bounce' slower.

wires on the backpack and helmet. Just about anything that can be done naturally can be recreated, with a bit or a lot of effort.

Wires produce a similar effect. It doesn't look the same, no matter how many you have.
There's also still the problem of creating the massive vacuum.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 26, 2009 1:36 pm
which is solved by not making the vacuum. It's unnecessary, and again, who'd know the difference?

They were in a vacuum, though. The footage shows that.
