Leeloo encountered the wall and was suddenly scared. This wasn't right. She needed.... no wanted to speak to M. Using the blanket, she pressed her hands against the bullet wounds. She slowly sat up, to only flinch and wince in pain. She fell back, and tears rolled out of the corners of her eyes. Helplessness. She knew that word. It was the word that described her. Her shoulders were racked with heavy sobs.

".....Leeloo does not socialize very well.....You will need to have patience with her......we have observed this on a few scenarios....." M reassured to Violet. The evening hours were upon them and the sky was dim, but the festival was now in full swing once the threat was thoroughly put down. M felt like exploring the resort more later. "....Do you believe you will be able to reconcile your differences with her?...." M asked his dining partner.

Red rings around her eyes. Her face pale and sweated. Clear chronic pain signs. She stared at the ceiling. She wanted to have them back. To take her mind off the pain. If the pain didn't kill her, then the loneliness would. She closed her pitch black eyes and ran a hand through her dark auburn hair and stopped. Going deep within her useless scraps of memories she found lots of things.... pictures, sounds, smells.... they didn't make sense. Disappointed, she returned to normal functions and waited. Time moved slowly. The hands on the clock seemed frozen. The traffic blared, like it was in her room and somewhere... a tap was dripping. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. Leeloo's eyes wondered around. Blaring traffic. Dripping taps. Crying children. Moaning mothers. Lively singers and dancers and the rowdy shouts of drunk men.

"I've met anti-social people...and she seems to hover something else over me." Violet could've guessed a hint of jealously earlier, but it was not something she would gurantee. Placing her fork down, her thumbs begin to fidget with each other. "I-I don't know...for all I know there could be other obstacles of differences with her. It's almost like competition"

Leeloo turned her head. The sounds were too confusing. Loud and noisy, they scared her truly. She sat in an upright position, ignoring the spasms of her right hand, and swung her legs over. This simple movement had already exhausted her. She reached out to the chair with a dress draped over. She felt the fabric with her fingers and pulled. It slid off the chair, into her hands. She did not know how to smile but this was good. She slipped off her orange thing and the blood stained shirt and the ripped tights and broken boots, and slipped on the dark green velvet dress. It soothed her skin, and fitted her body elegantly. The first step was completed. She needed to rest for a bit. She put her head down and waited til the dizziness receded.

"Competition seems unrealistic....in this paradise there are no obstacles for which competition holds purpose" M said slurred to Violet. Finishing his food finally, the waiter approached them and offered dessert. "....order for me....I do not believe I could read the list if I tried...." M thought to Violet. She seemed to have a good taste in diet, so he trusted her to choose something delicious.

Leeloo took a deep breath and sat up again. She stared at her feet. They were bare, but still quite clean. She nodded to herself and stood, a few milliseconds before her legs folded away under her. She muttered some syllables that didn't make sense and pulled herself up. She gritted her teeth and pulled herself along. The door was a good metre and a half away. She had walked a few tiny steps and was already exhausted. In the back of her mind something nagged at her and told her it was stupid. Chain me to the bed if you must. I might tear out my stitiches. I can do this. The sudden understanding of the common tongue was strange. Another five steps and she'd be there. The pain burnt and she was giddy with endorphins.

She sighed "It may seem unrealistic, but it occurs between humans commonly, so it's bond to happen otherwise as well. Paradise isn't all sweet...especially since I thought we were put here to endure obstacles" Luckily when the waiter approuched he hadn't heard much of it and instead simply awaited for their next order. "Um, two slices of chocolate silk cheesecake please." It was cool being able to order all this fancy and delicious foods for free. The waiter gave a slight nod and collected up the plates before walking off. To pass the time of waitin, she turned to M. "So M, I'm curious, where exactly did you grow up? You seem so unfamiliar when human culture"

"....I grew up in a cell..." M responded simply. He didn't know what to make of Violet's response. To him it seemed illogical for emotions like that in a place like the resort. However, Leeloo had proved to be quite illogical lately. Deciding to entertain Violet's idea, M asked,"Why and what would provoke Leeloo to feel a competitive feeling over something?"

"Oh..." She fell silent as if in condolence for it seemed to have struck the wrong nerve. In attempt to switch topics, M found his way back to Leeloo.A blush formed upon her face for it was sort of off guard. "U-um, I don't know, I was just guessing by feeling...only relying on feeling..."

"....Yes, you humans tend to use feelings a lot more than logic....." M agreed with Violet. There was a dance floor in front of the band playing. Observing the couples on the floor, M believed he could perform whatever ritual the humans were. The Waiter arrived with their cheesecake slices soon after. Leaving after the couple after being dismissed, the waiter began to wonder if the pair seemed a bit odd. M dressed in his vampire attire and Violet looking like herself, they did appear out of place in the restaurant. However, since it was the masked festival that day, everyone let it go without question.

Violet nodded slowly. "Yeah...feelings tend to get in the way too" Looking up at M, she noticed his gaze upon something else, and in following it, noticed he was looking upon the dance floor. "I suppose you want to dance?" The got up, even with their cheesecake having just arrived. Making her way along side M towards the other couples, she felt the gazes of others. Some in admiration, very few in digust, but overall they were positive. When they were close enough to everyone else, she turned to face towards M and slowly wrap her arms loosely around his neck like most of the other girls were doing. It was abit awkward, but she was willing to learn to dance as well.

Mimicking the boys around him, M wrapped his arms around Violet's waist and began stepping to the music. Drawing Violet closer to him, M slowly had the two of them step in circles. The music, lightning, atmosphere, proximity to Violet, and other factors beyond recognition all worked together, stirring comforting feelings within M. He enjoyed this human ritual. While they circled, M noticed the other couples were typically of the opposite sex, which made M ask in a whisper at Violet's ear,"Why are the pairings usually of opposing sex?"

Leeloo's hand touched the door handle and stopped. Turning it, slowly she felt the twinge of the wounds. She stepped out, and immediatly sat down. She knew that post-op it was best to be up and going. But she needed rest first. After a few minutes she stood up, very carefully and walked on, limping. Every few steps she needed a rest, but soon she made it to the metal box in the metal shaft that brought people up and down. She pressed the down button with one finger and waited. The doors opened with a ding and she limped in. She pushed the groundfloor button and carefully sat in one of the chairs, with her legs outstretched. She breathed slowly and deeply, then stood up just before the ding of the opening doors. The restaurant was before her and she stepped out. The smells.... the music and the sight. It was just like in M's memories. A waiter greeted her in an elegant manner and Leeloo nodded and smiled politely. He guided her to a table, at the edge of the floor. He helped her into her chair and she sat, with her injured legs, and watched the twirling pairs. A few men turned to look at her. They were surprised.
