Kai groaned inwardly at Sol's little speech, rubbing his face tiredly as he finished securing his part of the bridge. "I believe we can leave all this off until after the problem of our survival has been addressed." he stated forcefully through clenched teeth. He'd be damn if all this wasn't going to drive him insane by the end of it.

Hulinn nudged Kai and held out Saiya for him to take. "I renounce my feelings for you." She said softly but knew he would hear her. "Just don't hurt my niece, with Saiyori gone she's the only family I have." It was rare for the halfling to be serious like that, but she had been following them, she knew his feelings for the girl. Hearing Sol she didn't want Kai to have anything else to concern himself with, after all he had already made it clear that he promised himself to Saiya.

"Maybe she'll follow your lead." he answered quietly with a small smile, gently taking Saiya from Hulinn. "I promise, nothing will happen to her as long as I'm alive to prevent it." Kai promised seriously, looking Hulinn in the eye so she'd know just how serious he was about that fact.

Hunlinn nodded once before Sol pushed past them and confronted the two guards to the entrance of the meeting hall. After a couple minutes she waved the others in. "The meeting has already begun, I sent someone to tell them we had a problem and that the girl only just arrived. They aren't sparing you any time to get her together though, they want you two in there right now."

"That's my cue then." Kai commented, laying his hand on Saiya's face with his fingers configured to create a pattern. "Vakandi hægt frá sofa þú rísa í gegnum the sorti til tengja okkur. Saiya's teal eyes sprang open and her hand shot out in a defensive way as she tried to jerk away from him, still reacting to the last thing going on before she had been taken under control.

Moving his head to dodge the blow he allowed her a few moments to get her bearings. "Saiya, are you going to keep flailing or are you going to explain why we've all come here?" Kai asked calmly, using his voice to ground her in the here and now.

It took Saiya a moment to blink and realize where she was. She glanced around and frowned. "Where is here?" She hissed at him. Hulinn ran her fingers through the girls hair gently. "We are before the council. You are here to present your discovery."

Kai exhaled the breath he had been holding in until he was sure she was okay. "The Council will see you now." a gnome stated tersely what appeared to be an opening of an outdoor arena.

Saiya frowned. "I need a computer to show them the files." She told him. "I downloaded it onto a memory stick."

"Everything you will need has been provided inside." the gnome answered, tapping his tiny foot impatiently. "You ready?" Kai asked Saiya quietly, his posture showing how protective he was of her.

"As I'll ever be." Saiya answered as she took his hand and eyed Hulinn who winked at her. Shrugging she followed Kai through the door.

As they entered the arena the were meet with the presence of of towering figures arranged in a half circle that faded off into the darkness. Squeezing her hand reassuringly, Kai stepped forward. "Great leaders, I have brought the one whose hands hold the fates of all our people." he stated loudly, his voice vibrating through the room. "Then let her step forward." a windy voice commanded. "We will her her case and decide ourselves."

Saiya moved forward and reached into the ruffled cuff around her wrist pulling the memory card from within it. "My name is Saiya Triston and I was and Accounts Payable clerk for Global Tech in Main City. I found an account that money was being pushed into but kept reaching a dead end when I tried to find out what for." She held up the memory card. "I snuck into one of the main account holders offices and hacked his computer while he was preoccupied. All the files regarding a project called Supernatural Plague are here." Glancing around she frowned a bit. "I can show you if you have a computer."

One of the shadowy figures waved a hand, a white mist floating out from it to settle on the ground near Saiya. As the mist cleared a computer and presentation system was in its place. "You may precede."
