commenting on something said a few pages back, Matrix was largely inspired by Ghost in the Shell but ghost in the shell is a lot better.
On the show they also have some great philosophy and make you think about things.
Also they're remaking/making a new Karate kid. This one has Jackie Chan training some black boy with corn rows.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 ninjas remade soon.
The classic Porky's is apparently going be remade with a Howard stern view.
There will likely be more home alones.
Tons of horror movies are being remade
Child's Play is receiving a remake, I hear they will keep Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.
Nightmare on Elm Street has received a remake, they left Robert Englund out of this one.
a new Predator movie Predators is coming out.
Evil Dead will be remade i hear.
I prey Jaws never is remade, they'd just throw in a bunch of half a** CGI. Wikipedia says that after the success of Avatar they're thinking about remaking it. I don't want CGI sharks that movie in unnatural ways, and look so fake. That's wha's been ticking me off about the Anaconda franchise. The first film in 1997 used robotic clay covered snaked, the new ones use GGI of genetic modified snakes with rows of teeth and tails that with spikes.

I like the newer version of "The Producers" and even though the original "Ocean's 11" is way better they did a great job remaking and expanding on it.

Well, Tenchi has an overabundance of knowledge..... I don't like horror movies. They freak me out....

The original is amazing! The new ones are the reason I'm not as sceptical about remakes, they CAN be done well. Can't beat the Rat Pack though, here's the original: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054135/

I enjoyed the Willy Wanka remake depite a little to much CGI here and there...damn child endangerment laws.
I think movies should only be remade if the remakers can make it better with the better technology, and also not over do it.

My favorite part of the new Charley and the Chocolate Factory was the part with the puppets catching fire...and a reference to a song by Strawberry Alarmclock. When Jonny Depp says "Good morning starshine, the earth says hello." and seems disappointed it's because they didn't get the old song reference. It's supposed to show he's been out of the world too long but it's lost on most people.
