Elizabeth watched the whole seen play in front of her like it was a dream. Her whole body shoke vilently as she watched Donovan throw the man's body elsewere. A single tear slipped down her cheek before she was able to stop it by whipping it away. After calming slightly she stood up and stared at the ground, not daring to look at Donovan after what just happened. If she she had just listened to Donovan this would have not happened. ((Aww that sucks crying ))

Donovan pushed himself to his feet, the entire front of his shirt drenched in the man's blood. Ignoring the fact, he turned his attention to Elizabeth, hurrying over to her. "Are you ok?" he asked, trying to look into her eyes. His own were wide as the shock of what had just happened wore off.

Elizabeth kept her eyes hidden beneath her hair as she turned her head to the side so he could not see her face. "Yea I am fine," she said in shaky voice. "Lets just go." she then turned around and began to head off toward the car.

Donovan nodded before walking over to the man. He ripped the knife out of his throat and noticed that he was still breathing. He wouldn't be for long. Donovan wiped the blood off on the man's pants before putting it back in its hidden sheathe. Quickening his pace to rejoin Elizabeth, he passed her and unlocked the passenger's door before unlocking his own and climbing in.

Elizabeth opened the door and flopped into the passanger seat and closed the door gently. She then laid back and stared out though the windowshield, staring into the darkness. Her hair fell over her cheek and covered her eyes from full view of Donovan. She was thankful of it as she did not want him to see her face.

Donovan turned on the ignition and drove away, heading back towards the palace. It didn't take long to get home, driving up through the gates and around the back to the garage. Once the car was back in its place, he turned it off, pulling the keys out. He didn't get out right away, simply staring ahead while the blood dried on the front of his shirt. After half a minute, he looked over at Elizabeth. "Are you ok?" he asked.

Elizabeth glanced at him through her hair. Without answering his question she opened the car door and stepped out. She didn't bother shutting the car door and simply headed for the door that lead into the castle.

Donovan frowned and got out of the car as well, shutting his own door then walking around to close hers as well. He quickly followed after Elizabeth, slowing his pace to walk beside her. He didn't say anything but kept glancing at her. He knew something was wrong and wished she would take to him. No doubt she would have talked to Theo if he had been in Donovan's place. The thought made him feel a twinge of bitterness but he pushed it away. Of course she would have talked to Theo. He had been her husband while Donovan was nothing but the brother-in-law that she didn't even like.

Elizabeth lowered her head as she opened the door and walked inside before she stopped and turned to Donovan, face lowered. "Thanks for saving me. You better get changed before your mother sees you. I will just be upstairs." she then turned and started her way toward the staircase.

Donovan followed Elizabeth into the palace, stopping when she stopped. He watched her curiously then frowned at her words. Well of course he'd have to change. That much was obvious. But he wanted to make sure she was ok first. So, he grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her back to him. "No way," he said. "I'm not letting you go until I know you're ok."

Elizabeth looked back at him, hair covering half of her face. The other half was red, eyes hazy in color. "I told you, I am fine. No let go of my wrist." she spoke in a light voice.

Donovan opened his mouth to say something but stopped at the sound of footsteps. His face drained of color when he realized it was the head of security. He released her arm. "Fine," he muttered. "But don't think this is the end of it. I'm just worried about you." "Prince Donovan, may I have a word with you?" The head of security was an overly large man. That's not to say he was fat, he was just large in build with broad shoulders with large -but not freakishly large- muscles. He had deeply tanned skin, amber eyes and dark brown hair. Donovan nodded, looking uneasy as he followed the large man across the expanse of the room so Elizabeth could not hear their words. As they spoke, Donovan looked everywhere but at the other male. When the head of security said something, Donovan's head snapped around so his eyes locked on the other's face. He snapped something but then any anger or resistance seemed to drain from him when the other spoke again. It looked as if the head of security was trying to reassure Donovan who just looked like he was going to be sick and went back to refusing to look at the other.

Elizabeth turned her head to the side to watch the to, even though she could not hear what they were saying she read their lips; however she could not make out most of the words they spoke. She watched Donovan's quick actions and mood changes. Something was going on and she wanted to find out what it was. Eyes narrowed at them she stepped around the hall and hide in the shadows, waiting for them to get done speaking.

"Now, do we understand each other?" Oh how Donovan hated that man. Hated him with such a fire that it made Hell look like the North Pole. But he nodded anyway, knowing he couldn't fight him. "Yes," he said, though he refused to look at the head of security and that single word reflected his hopelessness. "Good." The larger man placed a hand on the prince's shoulder, Donovan flinching away from the touch. He hurried away, relaxing slightly when he heard the other walking in the other direction.

After a moment of hiding Elizabeth heard footsteps leading away in two different dirrections which meant they were through speaking. She popped herself out of the corner and stepped behind Donovan and tapped his shoulder as he was walking past her, a slight irratated look on her face.
