My mother actually thought that playing with stuff like this, no matter how extravagant it looked, it would lead to playing with real guns. I mean, how silly is that? I believe I knew the difference between lead and FOAM.
The most I ever got was playing with a cheap 99 cent store plastic bow and arrow... and a toy slingshot. I still have the slingshot.

The most I ever got was playing with a cheap 99 cent store plastic bow and arrow... and a toy slingshot. I still have the slingshot. I've thought about it, too. In Psychology, we're learning about gender roles and the like, and you know, your mom was kind of right, in a way. The way we're taught to be macho and manly (even if you don't think you were, we're all influenced into this), it would have kept guns in your mind a bit more, which may have lead you into buying them sometime in the future.
