"A Song For Chi" - FieldyFieldy, the bassist for Korn, put together a fundraiser for Deftones bassist Chi Cheng. For those of you who don't know, Chi got in an accident last year that put him in a coma. He's been recovering, but he and his family are having money troubles and the medical bills are obviously not going to help them out. So Fieldy put together a song and a fundraiser to help out Chi. Many artists who have connections with Korn put their own instrumentals together to create the song. The musicians are as follows with their instruments of choice and the band they are with:
Drums:Mike Wengren (Disturbed)
Ray Luzier (Korn)
Wuv (P.O.D.)
Dave McClain (Machinehead)
Morgan Rose (Sevendust)
Guitars:Brian "Head" Welch (former guitarist of Korn)
Jim Root (Slipknot)
Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage)
Clint Lowery (Sevendust)
Munky (Korn)
Wayne Lozinak (Hatebreed)
Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed)
Turntables:Sid Wilson (Slipknot)
Bass:Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (Korn)
Robert Trujillo (Metallica)
I believe more artists contributed, but this is all I know.
Anyway the download for this song is free, but you also have the option of donating to the "One Love for Chi" fundraiser. All the donations go directly to Chi Cheng's mother. The song's sound is a combination of heavy metal, alternative metal, and nu-metal, just to let you know.
