@cbc: *pat* Well, I beat you. I once got 38%. rolleyes Lol.

@Mihiko: Yup. China got the most golds with 51 and a total of 100. USA got 37 golds or something, with 110 total.

@Mini: And I'll always call you Mini. *hug* wink And I agree with you. I doubt London 2012 will be as impressive as Beijing 2008. I may be British but I'm still Chinese. sweatdrop And realistic.

I'm sure Niph won't call me Chibi... wherever she is. xd

@Tosh: Oh, that comment stings. xp How could you miss watching Beckham kick a FOOTBALL into the audience? Shucks. xd

@Yalie: Agreed. Religion simply cannot save Toki's sinful soul. He's cursed forever. twisted But I don't mind being called Chibi (I mean, I'll never be callled cute in real life, I can't miss this chance! xd ). It's going to be confusing with people calling me B&B and some calling me Chibi. Meh. Stick with Viv, people, Viiiiiiv. cool

@Toki: That's why I always pointed at all the Chinese gymnasts and said Why the hell do they look like they're ten years old?! rolleyes

O_____O'

Chibi means "short" or "midget".

-cough-

Hmm, maybe religion can't save me, but there's no harm in giving it a go. It might even make me a better person. surprised

Sorry guys, was having fun in Salcombe~ this really posh little sailing village. Not that I'm posh or sailing, but my friend has a house there and I was with her. It's the home of Jack Wills and Crew Clothing and stuff~ and.. yeah. There's a QUEUE to get into Jack Wills.. made me laugh so much xD

Whoa, since when were you interested in religion? I can't imagine you being an evangelical Christian, but neither can I see you being interested in traditional Buddhism. I thought we Chinese were supposed to be agnostic. ninja

@CBC: Don't worry about it. It's not entirely over yet. Even if it was a major assessment task, you can easily recover the marks by doing well in the exam. Besides, those scores are nothing compared to the scores I got when I did Maths Methods and Specialist Maths in Year 12...nearly half the test scores I got were like below 40%. ninja

@Niph: THANK YOU. D<

And glad to hear you had a good time. xd

@Toki: I meant that yalie-chan was calling me cute. *whacks you on the head with an inflatable hammer* IDIOT. rolleyes

Phff. Religion won't make you a better person. The day it does is the day I turn into some sort of crazy alcoholic on drugs and smoking 60 cigs a day and shoplifting chewing gum.

@Niph, Mini: Yuh huh. 3nodding

I was invited to an evangelical church a few weeks ago by my housemate and it was actually quite good - really different to the usual hum drum of the CoE services I'd grown up around. There was a lot of energy, a live band, it just felt good being there. So when everyone was praying and the pastor asked whether there were any people who had never found christ and were interested in learning more, I just randomly put my hand up. Normally I would never have done that, but I think the friendly atmosphere and new surroundings kinda compelled me to do it.

Afterwards I met up with this mentor who gave me a book introducing new people to christianity and said he'd organise some Q&A sessions. Can't say I've read it (too busy reading Jasper Fforde lol), but I'll start in october. Since then I've been to church every sunday and gone to a few social nights, which have been fun. Although I'm nowhere near a 'born again' christian (being a very skeptical person as you all know), I reckon that for now I'm quite content in just going with the flow and seeing where it takes me.

I've always been interested in religion/s and the happiness it brings believers. Many of my close friends are christians and I found myself drawn to the 'good' that christianity had perhaps taught them. I was always a cynic though, blasting their outrageous claims as balloney. But deep down, I think I was just jealous that they could live their lives by faith (or ignorance lol) and just believe in something, something that gave them hope and optimism.

Oh dear Chibi. That sounded like something I would've said back in the day. You're just like me! xd *hugs*

Lol, you've fallen under the spell of the evangelicals Toki. rofl

Your experience reminds me of the time during my childhood years where a group of Jehovahs Witnesses came to our house and regularly preached there. I was some what inspired by their message and even attended a few of their prayer sessions, but as I grew older I was a tad disturbed by their ethics. Apparently being a Jehovah's Witness means you have to give up a lot of things and live a pretty boring life.

That's pretty much the price you pay for being religious... in most religions.

*jumps on Fwoom (Hyacinthe Comeaux)* I have no christened you Fwoom and most probably that nickname will stick. Well, let's hope, otherwise things get confusing. xd

But yes, everyone, meet Fwoom. She's a friend of mine. *pokes Fwoom* You have to do the usual... intro thingy. Unless you don't want to. *pokes Toki and everyone else* Yo, stop talking about your religion for one second and say hi! Be the welcoming person you are! =P

But darling, if Christianity makes you happy and it makes you into a better person, then so be it. I'm happy for you. I'm happy you're happy! I mean, you know I'm joking about you never being able to be a good Christian and being a better person. You give yourself too little credit. You're a better person than you think you are. Idiot.

But seriously - if this is the road for you, I shan't criticise. It means something to you. And if it turns out to be something more and you become an insane Christian-praying person, you'll still be a good (insane, transexual, gay) friend of mine. Similarly, if it doesn't work out, you still have us and the ICU to fall back on. We're a religion in ourself. mrgreen ninja

And I just can't get used to YOU calling me Chibi. It's weird. We've known each other too long to start changing names. Can I call you something else...? But no. I couldn't imagine you as anything else. *sigh*
