Guards moved with a slight nod from the Äbädä, surrounding Kai and cutting him off from Saiya. "Unfortunately yes." she stated, just a tiny bit of remorse in her voice. The guards forced Kai to his knees roughly, swords pressed against his neck. "Welcome back Moon Thief."

Hulinn gaped at him. "You told her?" She hissed at him and rolled her eyes. "Leave it to a woman to save a man from himself." She sighed as she threw down a smoke bomb and quickly took out the guards. "Get Saiya." She said as she grabbed him and quickly let loose with a handfull of small explosives that started causing major chaos in the smoke filled room. "Hurry up before they get their heads straight."

Kicking a guard near him, Kai landed lightly on his feet and turned to scoop Saiya up. With her safely in his arms he wasted no time sticking around as he took off as fast as his legs would carry him. What had he expected him to do? Had she thought he'd lie forever? "After them!" the Äbädä shrieked.

Hulinn was right behind him as he left and surprisingly so was Sol. "Any suggestions?" Sol asked him as she took out a guard that rushed from the door.
Hulinn pushed a little more speed as she caught up to Kai. "Wake her up. Talk her through a mental block, she can stall them from finding us."

Kai shook his head. "You know I can't do a spell like that safely at these speeds. We'd have to stop somewhere." he stated, jumping into the air as he spun to take out two guards that had been stationed outside. Landing in a run he just wished that they got out of this.

Hulinn hissed at him as she grabbed his shoulder. "I'll take care of the guards ahead of us and Sol the ones behind, you just make sure she stays ok. And think of a place we can wait this out too." She informed him as she ran ahead to start taking out any guards in their way.

Cursing all of their damn luck, Kai skidded to a halt. If he was going to wake her up safely he was going to have to stop a second, he trusted that Hulinn and Sol would handle the guards till he was finished. Placing his hand on Saiya's hand in the familiar pattern once again he took a deep cleansing breath before beginning the chant. "Vakandi hægt frá sofa þú rísa í gegnum the sorti til tengja okkur. Vakandi hægt frá sofa þú rísa í gegnum the sorti til tengja okkur. Vakandi hægt frá sofa þú rísa í gegnum the sorti til tengja okkur." Kai spoke calmly, the blue sinking more quickly into Saiya then it had the first time. Not waiting to see if it had worked he scooped Saiya up and took off again, he'd have to wait to block her mind to the Elders till they had a chance to stop longer.

Saiya jerked in his arms and then wrapped her arms around him and buried her head against his chest with a whimper of pain. Her head was killing her, what the hell had they done? She felt like it was going to split in two and it almost felt like there was something that didn't belong in the back of her mind. Seizing it her mind automatically sent a sharp stab of pain through it and shoved it from her mind, some things were instinctual when it came to powers and getting rid of intruders had always been instinctual for her.
Hulinn turned as she took out the last of the guards. "Where to?" She asked Kai. "Please tell me you had a back up plan."

"Do you think a wanted criminal would go into the lion's den without one?" Kai asked with a smile. "I just happened to call on some help on our way here... And it looks like they're right on time." he stated, pointing up. Diving down to land next to them were 6 giant eagles of the Southern Mountains, each one as large or larger then a house. Mounted on each of them were the bird men of the same territory, one of them addressed Kai as they landed. "I knew you said you were in trouble but I didn't expect it this soon." he joked offering a hand down to Kai. "Yeah, well I didn't really expect the Council to demand a mind meld so early either." Kai answered, taking hi friend's hand and easily leaping on to the back of the largest eagle with Saiya still securely in his arms. "Coming?" Kai asked as he glanced down at Hulinn and Sol.

Hulinn snorted. "Like I would leave my niece with just you." She answered in a teasing fashion as she hopped up on another of the eagles behind one of the men. She winked at the man and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Maybe this trip isn't so bad after all."
Sol frowned and looked back for a moment. "I'm just as much a criminal now as you are." She sighed, disappointed in her own actions as she accepted a hand up on another of the eagles.
Saiya whimpered at being jostled and her death grip tightened as she kept her head buried firmly in his chest with his cloak acting as a shield against the noise and light that was hurting her aching head.

Kai kissed the top of Saiya's head softly, more then a bit concerned as the bird man in front of Hulinn clacked his beak a bit taken back. She was doing extremely well at battling those trying to probe her mind, he just didn't know how long she'd be able to hold out. Bracing her as he felt the eagle shift, they shot up into the air and into the safe arms of the sky.

Saiya did better than well, tired of the constant probing sending even more pain into her already aching head she built a wall and effectively blocked them out permanently. She sighed as the pain lessoned a bit but there was still a good bit of it left from the original probe. She had never had someone in her head like that before and would never allow it again, not like that.
Hulinn was having fun messing with the poor bird man. The woman was a sexual creature by habit and ran her hands over the feathers on the man's chest with a smirk as she pressed against his back.

Cral was starting to get a little uncomfortable with the touchy one behind him. Pulling on the reins slightly he followed the others as they rolled to avoid a storm cloud.
Kai's arms wrapped around Saiya to try and comfort her. He could feel the battle that went on inside her mind but he could do nothing to help her til they landed safely on the ground.

Hulinn smirked and used it as an excuse to adjust her hold and pull herself more firmly against him from behind.
Saiya shifted slightly in his hold as her own relaxed a little. She still needed an aspirin like an addict needed a fix, but the probing had stopped effectively with the wall.

He leaned down to get a better look at Saiya. "How are you holding up?" Kai asked quietly, running a hand through her hair.
As Hulinn pressed against him Cral was scanning the sky as he tried to ignore her. "Fienden inne syn!" he cried in warning, pointing to the west as a fire ball was launched at them. Rolling to avoid it Cral bent down quickly to whisper in the eagle's ear. "Try and make sure the touchy one doesn't get lost." he muttered, pulling out a sword from a sheathe beside him. "Charge!" the commander shouted. "I'll lead the others to safety." Leaping easily off of the eagle he spun before reaching out arms that now sported wings.
