The Graveyard

"You must really miss them," she said."What I miss most about my parents was my mums cooking. The orphange food was awful! I missed my fathers hugs too."

Erik nodded and sat down between the graves, not speaking. He knew that if he shared even one memory of his family, he'd break down.

"What do you miss about your fiance and daugther?" asked Nikki curiously.

"....Watching my daughter run up to me..... and listening to both her and my fiance laugh...... as I picked her up." Erik said with a cracking voice, a few stray tears finding their way out of his eye.

"H-hey...Hey! Don't cry," she mumbled panicking."Pretend I didn't ask that...question! If you cry I'll start crying!"

"I'm sorry... I just..... I can't hold it in." Erik whispered and pulled out a handkerchief, wiping his eyes as he bit back a sob.

Ray appeared next to Erik. "you have served me well Erik. show me there graves" he said plainly

"Arghh!" yelped Nikki when Ray suddenly came out of no where she jumped a bit."Y-you scared me..."

Erik stopped crying and got up to look at Ray, emotionless. "I've been thinking..." he said softly and stared at his family's graves. "What I saw back there in the Diner.... To let someone you love go.... I think I must do the same." he said then looked back at him and shook his head softly. "Leave them to their slumber." he murmured.

"are you sure? i can bring them back easily." he said, holding his hand out

"Yes, I'm sure." he nodded slowly, his eyes closed.

Nikki stood there looking confused.
"What happened at the diner?" she thought.
Nikki walked back to her fathers grave and placed her fathers favourite type of food on his grave.
"I hope the mice won't eat the food," she thought.

"I had to wipe a friend's memory of someone she loved." Erik said quietly, not looking at anyone. He was too ashamed to look anyone in the eyes.

Nikki turned around in shock when Erik said he had to wipe a memory she stayed silent.
"Why did you wipe the memories?" asked Nikki

"because his friend, Lena, was technically cheating on my brother, Nikolai. so, i made a deal with Erik here to erase the other boy's mind." he looked at Erik. "well, thats a shame. but, i still owe you. is there any other way i could repay you?"
