Which makes perfect sense why the Christian Coalition wants it. It's not about have lots of control, more about basic guidelines. You know so if Comcast tries that false advertisement s**t about "Unlimited Internet" and then blocking you if you use their service too much. Or about how one big company kept people from downloading The Bible. Or allowing companies to slow down sites that favor their competitors like YouTube. Sure.
I'm not talking about a government run thing. More like how the FCC tries to keep the radio equal, because as it stands now, Comcast doesn't have to pay the consequences of their false advertisement as it stands. They ******** over users who were using their service too much, and then get to make off okay. Or how they increase speed, but not give you anymore internet to use. Or how they STILL don't tell you how much of your 500GB service that you've used, until you're near or over it. In which case you're ******** a NON-SERIOUS NOTE: I saw How To Train Your Dragon in 3D. It was BETTER then I thought and it's totally worth seeing! <3

I think most people just want the net to stay the same, a border-less area that isn't regulated by companies OR government. But at this point it looks like it will come down to who will be in charge of ruining the internet...companies that would like to up earnings by charging more for the same sevices or government who just doesn't understand long term effects of legislation they pass XD

Elzingaiv I think most people just want the net to stay the same, a border-less area that isn't regulated by companies OR government. But at this point it looks like it will come down to who will be in charge of ruining the internet...companies that would like to up earnings by charging more for the same sevices or government who just doesn't understand long term effects of legislation they pass XD Actually the internet already IS regulated by companies more and more. Let's not forget how companies are trying to find new ways of charging more money for the same service. Rather then reach for new innovations, or spend money to save more money long term, they'd rather look at their own short-term profits. A great example: Comcast offers new higher speed internet...but you're still limited by the same bandwidth as before. So you just use up your alotment of internet faster. Let's not forget that companies have already been getting the government to change the laws in THEIR favor. When you read about what the internet companies keep trying to do, it's quite disturbing. Also you should really see How To Train Your Dragon if you have time. The animation is really cool, and the dragons are definitely awesome! Not to mention it's cool to see Vikings going around trying to kill Dragons. It's AWESOME! <3 Okay so I was watching Dragonball Kai and I'm shocked at how poor the animation quality is. It seems like it's late DBZ at best. I mean maybe it's just Youtube...but I expected BETTER damn it! This is one of the early super-flashy animation shows, and it doesn't even look as good as Naruto nor Bleach. >.<

You realize a lot of liberal so-called Christians are all about "Social Justice", you know, "take from the rich give to the poor"? And the FCC keeps the radio equal? Thats not their job and it shouldn't be. Radio, like the rest of the Free Market, should be competition based (you sell enough you stay in business), not equal time for both voices. You only kill competition if you force equal time for both, because frankly, if people don't want to hear it they tune out and if they tune out the company loses money. glad my ISP doesnt do any of that crap. i have Charter, at a flat rate thats locked in for the next 2 years. all that worries me is thing that effect content on the internet, like ******** bullshit copyright claim abuse
