Renatus nodded, trying to act as gracious as he could. He walked up to the innkeeper, and purchased two rooms for the night. The innkeeper searched for the keys and handed them to Renatus. He paid the keeper, and thanked him. Renatus returned to Lucinda. "Both rooms have a balcony. Pick your favorite number." He said holding the two keys out to Lucinda.

Lucinda looked betwen the two keys and then picked one. She began to walk towards that room.

Renatus placed a hand on Lucinda's shoulder, stopping her. "Are you alright?" he asked worried by her silence.

"I guess I'm a little shaken," Lucinda said, looking down. "I've never had someone treat me like those men did."

Renatus looked down, knowing that he had been the one that took her to the den and left, giving the men the opportunity to make advanced on Lucinda. "I'm sorry for allowing that to happen." Renatus said. "But I will never treat you like that, and I wont let anyone else." He said protectively.

Lucinda looked up at him. She could see the sincerity in his face. This caused her to smile. "Thank you, Renatuc," she said.

Renatus smiled. He blushed slightly. "It's nice to have someone to protect." he thought, staring into Lucinda's green eyes.

Lucinda saw something strange in his eyes. "Renatus?" she said, quietly.

Renatus snapped out of his daze suddenly. It took him a moment to process that Lucinda had asked him a question. "Uh, yeah Lucinda? What is it?" He asked.

"I-I'm not sure," Lucinda replied, dropping her gaze.  

[Ean_arico]

"Oh..." Renatus said. He wondered, did she know more about how he felt than he did? Should he even ask?  

[Cecily D Aria]

"You've just been acting a little strange lately..." Lucinda commented.  

[Ean_arico]

Renatus looked down, not quite in shame but something similar, "Y-Yes I suppose I have."  

[Cecily D Aria]

"I want to help, but...." Lucinda's voice trailed off.  

[Ean_arico]

Renatus slowly lifted his head, the feeling similar to shame still lingering over him. "But what?" he asked trying not to pry.
