She let him take the drink, then sat across from him and set the tray down between them. Crossing her legs, she lifted up her slice and folded it in half, taking a bite and quietly moaning happily. "I love New York-style pizza," she said mostly to herself, setting the slice down and taking a sip from her drink. "I didn't know what kind you'd like, so I just got you cheese. That alright?"

"Yeah, no, that's perfect." Roy nodded as he picked up his slice and took a bite. Ah, he remembered this greasy food. Back "home" it was all about fine dining, and though that stuff taste pretty good, too, it wasn't his good, old, fattening fast food.

"No no, you're eating it wrong," scolded the girl, setting her food down to reach out and take his. Holding it in one hand, she grabbed a small packet and ripped it open with her teeth, sprinkling a little bit of Parmesan cheese onto it and folding it in half. "Now try it. If you don't like it, I'll buy you a different piece."

Roy blinked as his pizza slice was taken away. Eating it all wrong? Pfft. Leave it to a professional eater to tell him how to eat. Nevertheless he allowed Dana to fix up his food and took it back when she was done. He looked at it then gave her a wary look, then took a bite of the pizza. His eyes widened slightly. "Wow, this is really good!" he commented. After swallowing his slice he lowered it and looked at Dana. "But isn't that technically stromboli?"

"Only you can control that."

She shook her head at him before swallowing. "Stromboli is rolled. This is just folded." Taking another bite, she chewed, then swallowed and grinned. "Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. You do trust me, don't you?"

Roy was eating another bite when he heard her question, raising an eyebrow at her. "I did until you asked me. That's a really weird thing to ask someone about their lunch. Now I'm worried you put laxatives in it." he said half-jokingly.

She snorted. "I'm not that cruel." She took another bite, then set her food down and took a moment to let her stomach settle, sipping her drink and leaning back. "I remember the first time Alan cooked for me. He set the stove on fire."

Roy chuckled when he heard the story. "I used to cook for my friends. I wasn't the best, but I was sure as hell better than them. Except for a couple." he said while thinking back to his life in the dorms. One would never accept his cooking, claiming that he was trying to brainwash him with immigrant food, and the other would openly criticize him because he didn't use the finest ingredients. Seriously, who gets the finest ingredients in a boarding school?
"I don't cook anymore. I, uh, get lunch and all that delivered to me daily." he explained without trying to sound like some hotshot rich guy. "I'm not even sure I'd know what to do if I were in a kitchen. What about you? Do you know how to cook?"

"Well enough to keep myself alive." She shrugged a little, not really delving too much into the thought of her cooking talent. Really, she just did whatever she could to keep herself from dying of boredom. "No offense, but you're the first yuppie I've ever met that can cook for himself. It's not a bad thing. Weird, though."

Roy shrugged in the middle of his bite. "It's not surprising. I mean, why cook when only a couple dollars can get you a lot of food and a cold drink? Even food in grocery stores are made to just be microwaved and instantly ready." he said. "But when you find someone that cooks, they cook. It's like finding those small gems of restaurants, you know?"

She picked up her piece of pizza, taking a bite and swallowing before replying. "But you yourself as a decent cook?" She tapped her chin with her clean index finger. "You're gonna have to cook for me sometime and show me how good you are."
