Thee Stranger Eh, they're just people. Humans. Popular movie stars or not. Their deaths aren't a prelude of anything to come. Lots of people die. Everyday. Most just don't all have their names splattered all over the news when they do. Yeah, but people I know are dieing. Close friends of mine are having relatives and parents die. Left and ******** right. Even earlier this year I had to go to 3 family funerals and miss one hell of a 'lotta school for it. I know people die, but this is getting ridiculous. I don't know if it "means" anything, but it's sure as hell making itself known to me. That, and it's been raining for nearly 20 days with maybe one day of sunshine. All of that says something to me, whether it actually "means" anything or not I have no clue. But I trust my instincts, and they're telling me that it's not going to get better over the course of the year. Stranger - This wasn't necessarily directed at you, I'm just kind of venting on the whole situation... so, nothing personal, alright? heart

Okay guys, sorry for a double post, but it's worth it, I promise.
Resident Evil was a question on Jeopardy!!!! I was in the kitchen cooking and I shouted it loud and clear... It was awesome.

Excuse me WHAT.
The one ********' day I don't watch Jeopardy, too. Damnit, the world really is ending.
So, Notte dearest, what was the question? Or answer, as it were.
Btw, went to GameStop with a coupon and Edge card in my hand... Got Kirby Superstar Ultra, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, and Chrono Trigger for the DS, then The Conduit for the Wii. So far I've only played Kirby and The Conduit, and I must say SU (Superstar Ultra) is a great and faithful extras-packed port of the original, with more minigames and if I'm not mistaken, a whole new game (it's been so long since I played the original. D: )
Now, The Conduit too is a lot of fun. The graphics are really top-notch on the weapons and characters. The levels themselves look a little bland, but everything else is vibrant and pretty. The controls are tight and very responsive. Good thing they let you literally customize everything, right down to where you want to place your health bar, ammo counter, etc. on the screen. I had to turn down the defaut Nunchuk responsiveness because every time I had to scratch my leg I tossed a grenade. xd
Now the game is frantic and fun... up until this one area on the second level. There's a maaaajor difference between a good challenge and just being outright ******** ridiculously hard and cheap. Somehow, if you shoot just in front of an enemy with a rocket they only get wounded, but if you're within about 30 feet of the blast you die. Not to mention that they can charge their rifles and oust you with one hit if your life bar is below half. And believe me, it will be. And they do it often. This is on "Guarded" difficulty, the normal setting. There are five settings: Low, Guarded, something else, High, Severe. The thought of it being any harder than this is just ******** annoying.
I'm gonna give it another go tomorrow to see if I was just sucking, but somehow I think it's just that High Voltage Software was looking to make TVs break with angry tosses of Wiimotes. Up until that point it was a great game, but when you die 15+ times in one area on the second-easiest difficulty setting on the second level, there's something wrong. Not gonna give it a final verdict yet, though. razz

Bio - Yes, I was referring to you. Not only to you, unfortunately, but to other members of the guild as well (some who havent posted in a while), and other friends are having their parents and relatives and friends die. I went to a memorial service for a kid who I went to high school with. It's not a good year, there's so much suffering.
Canas - I believe it was this...
Bravo Team dead by hoards of Zombies. Raccoon City overrun. Milla Jovovitch was in the movie.
That wasn't it exactly, but I can't remember the exact wording of it. I seriously jumped out of my skin though.

Biohazard EXTREME Notte was referring to me, by the way. My dad died this past saturday. So, yeah. It's kinda ******** up. Aw, Bio, I'm sorry! cry It's always rough when something like that happens. My brother's best friend died last year at only 19, and though not as big a hit as one's dad, it wasn't fun. Not to mention that the family is absolutely shattered now. My thoughts are with you, and we love you Bio!

Yeah, sorry to hear about that Bio. I'm really close to my dad, so if he died anytime soon, I'd be effing devastated.
@Canas: Eff that shiot! Wait til you get to the end of level 3 ha ha. You'll know what I mean when you get there. Oh, and have the strap around your wrist. You never know when you'll get too angry and shout "This is effing bullshit!" and try to toss your wii remote at the telly.

@Bio: I'm sorry your dad passed away. If you don't mind saying, what exactly was the cause?
I just found out that my friend's grandmother passed away yesterday...

The Not So Evil Deadite Yeah, sorry to hear about that Bio. I'm really close to my dad, so if he died anytime soon, I'd be effing devastated. @Canas: Eff that shiot! You never know when you'll get too angry and shout "This is effing bullshit!" and try to toss your wii remote at the telly. Actually, today I started up and whooped it in three tries. And then I was going through. I'm on the mission just after the White House. Apparently I was just sucking. xd So yeah, it's a really fun game so far, now that we've gotten over some speedbumps. razz Haven't played the multiplayer yet, but with the weapons I've seen, it could be VEEEERY EENTERESTEENG... By the way, favorite weapon set (you can hold two at a time, plus six frag, flash, or radiation grenades) so far has to be a SPAS 12 and... hm, either the Carbonizer, the Strike Rifle, or the TCP Launcher. Probably the Strike Rifle. Alien organic guns ftw! xd Which is another praise. The detail in the guns is great. Human guns look like their real-life counterparts, Trust (think like Area 51) guns are futuristic, and Drudge (alien) guns are strange and otherworldly. Take the Strike Rifle for example. Running around with it, you can see the flaps holding the bio-mass (alien ammo) in place flop around. When you reload, you can hear the squelches of flesh and such as you open the flap to reload bio-mass. Everything makes it feel like the gun you hold is actually alive. It's great. biggrin

Thanks for the support guys. It was a car accident. The worst part is that not only was it not his fault, he shouldn't have even been involved in it. It was between a car and a truck, and the truck ended up veering into the opposite lane as a result of the crash, it was then that he hit my dad. You know, ten seconds before, or ten seconds after and it would have been avoided... It's bullshit.

If you need us, we're here. *hug* It's hard to think that when tragedy happens in an accident, but it's true. Hell, just the slightest thing from anyone on the road at that time could've altered what happened... I remember having that in my head a lot when my brother passed away (he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a truck - he died instantly). Even now, I feel like the slightest thing could've saved him, and feel awful, like I could've done something...

Biohazard EXTREME I never thought I'd ever be able to read something like what you just said and say, "I can relate." Unfortunately, that's what death does. Same thing happened to me (different incident, it wasn't a car crash). The stupid thing about death is that it brings people together. We can be thankful for that, at least, and be there for each other.
