Melissa smiled with happiness. "That's all I needed to hear." She let go of the princess and dropped her hands to her sides. "Oh, by the way," she said with a smirk. "Thank you for finally spitting out that you love him." The maid giggled at what new information she was given. "I'm sorry if I was a bit pushy with this. You two just looked so cute together! And since Justin wasn't about to give anything away soon, I might as well have tried you." She looked around herself to find a lot of people still around them. "It's getting busier down here since the time is later. Also, you still haven't given yourself an answer. Do you want to stay down here or go back to the castle? I can try escorting you around if you want to look around."

((I was reading the older posts... Then, I discovered that I do have exactly three characters. I had forgotten all about Shiori))

Alaina felt her face increasing in warmth, blushing, due to the words spoken by Melissa. It was different discussing it aloud with someone else. That didn't mean she was ashamed of Justin. Why would she? Actually, Alaina thought she was the luckiest girl in the world to be able to say 'Justin and I are an item.' A smile formed on her face as she returned her gaze to Melissa. "Hey, it's fine." She put a finger near her lips and said in a whisper, "Shh...Don't tell anyone, though. Okay?" Then, she returned both her hands to her side, while she pondered. "Well, I just don't want to worry Justin." Again, Alaina spoke in a low voice.

Melissa shook her head. "Trust me. I'm not one of those stupid little girls that spends her whole time spreading gossip. That's a high school thing." The maid smiled at the girl's worries. "I think you're worrying too much. He's a guy, he can look after himself. But if you really want to go back to the castle, I'll have no objection." She went up close to the princess and whispered in her ear, "The prince might be missing you," in a teasing and playful manner. She giggled at her words. "And you know, I think that you two can really work out, even if you're a human and he's a vampire."

(Well, it doesn't look like Yukina is coming anytime soon. Shiori could randomly pop up out of nowhere too. Plus, I'm thinking of doing something with the Nobles...we'll just see what happens.)

Alaina smiled at the young maid. " Thank you. I do believe and trust you very much." She told Melissa. The maid's next response caused her to think, She does make a good point. Justin is a guy and can look after himself for the time being. Her thoughts were mentally pushed away, upon Melissa whispering in her ear. She was about to stammer some words but the young maid said something else. Melissa's spoken words made her feel happier. It made her spirits lift. "R-Really? Thanks again, Melissa. I think so too!" Alaina spoke in a chipper tone,before trailing off. "Do you want to return to the castle or wander around? I'm pretty indesicive at times." Alaina wasn't sure whether to stick around or not. The thought of those one drunken idiots came to mind. What if something like that happens, again. Justin wouldn't be around to save her and this time it would be worse since Melissa would be with her. Then, Melissa's words echoed in her mind 'The prince might be missing you." What if he was?
((Very true and trust me we will be seeing more of Shiori. Oh and good idea with the nobles...))

Melissa pondered for a moment. "Let's go back. I like staying down here, but I should probably see how the prince is doing." She looked in the direction of the castle. "I'm pretty sure that Justin is preparing for the Nobles. It's been a longer wait than normal, so I bet he would be a bit anxious." Her look became worried. She turned and grabbed the princess's hand. "Anyway, let's go back! The prince will be happy to see you I bet." the maid told her with a smile.

Justin's eyes opened after his quick rest. He sat up on the couch and looked at his surroundings. He noticed his violin case beside the furniture. He carefully brought it into his lap and opened it. Money filled the case, shimmering at the prince. It's been a profitable night. He then stood up, placing the case where he sat. He walked over to his cabinet and knelt in front of it. He unlocked a lower door and inside was a small chest. He brought it back to the couch. He opened the chest, which was filled with more money. He put his profits in and put it back where it belonged. He then packed his violin and placed it in the back of his wardrobe. He also changed into his outfit from before, storing his hat, cape, and mask in the wardrobe. He locked everything and made sure the room was secure. The vampire then ran through his shadow and escaped outside. He was in front of the Gothic building and sat down by the main doors. I'll just wait until they get back.

Alaina nodded. "Yeah, you're right." She said to Melissa, agreeing. "That's why Justin couldn't make it to the Mysterious Violinist of the Dark Mist's performance." Alaina told her with her tone becoming low. Her hand was grabbed by Melissa. Alaina nodded, blushing a little as well. "Okay, then let's go." She flashed the young maid a smile after her words ended.

As the pair of girls walked out of the town, Melissa explained some things to Alaina. "I wonder how he's doing with them. Justin is probably one of the best people to speak with the Nobles. However, sometimes he doesn't know how to react the right way with them." The maid then realized that Alaina had no idea who the Nobles were in the first place. "By the way, the Nobles are basically the other rulers of this kingdom. The king or queen has the power to make certain events happen, but they have to be discussed with the Nobles first. They are a council of some of the wisest, most experienced, and loyal of the vampires. However, only the royal family has permission to see them. I heard that they are also very intimidating and most people choose not to speak up against them. The royals have the hardest time with them, for the Nobles not only help decide what is done, but they also critique the royal family on how they run the kingdom. It all sounds very scary to me. And since Justin is the next ruler, they must be putting some expectations upon him." After her talk, Melissa found the pair back at the castle. She also saw the oldest prince sitting by the front doors. "Guess who?" she asked quietly to Alaina as she pointed out the prince to her.

While walking back to the vampire castle, Melissa, the young maid explained some things about the nobles. Alaina had heard them mentioned just a couple times. She didn't exactly know what the nobles did but they had to be important and Melissa confirmed that. Alaina listened to the young maid, nodding some but stayed silent. The nobles were only slightly like the council back at the human kingdom. The council were able to object laws they found ridiculous or even pass laws but that was a very long process. However, the nobles did seem a lot more scary and intimidating. But her new found information caused her to begin thinking. What will be done years from now? When Justin's the ruler what happens then? The nobles wouldn't allow such a love. She snapped from her thoughts, upon hearing Melissa's words of the expectations placed on Justin. Her bright eyed gaze lowered to the ground. When they both arrived at the castle she grew happy again. Especially when Melissa pointed out Justin. A big smile formed on her face. She hurried over to him, then wrapped him in a hug. For now Alaina wasn't going to stress over the future. Eventually, that would be face,but for now it was spending every moment around Justin happily. Seconds later, she unraveled her arms. "Tonight was amazing. Everytime the Mysterious Violinist guy plays I have got to go." She said then threw her gaze to Melissa. "I wouldn't mind this being a habit. Melissa going to the town to hear him play. Hey,maybe if it's possible one day you can come,too." She blabbed,talking rather quick from excitement. Alaina didn't want to bring up the nobles to him. It would probably be better left unspoken about...For now.

Justin was shocked when he was suddenly hugged. He flinched for a moment, but then settled down once he figured out it is was Alaina. "Wow, surprise attack much?" he teased her with a smirk. He listened to the princess as Melissa walked up beside her. "Seems like you had a terrific night. And I see you and Melissa have certainly gotten close." "Yeah but don't worry," the maid said as she poked his chest playfully. "I won't steal her away from you." The prince blushed lightly and smiled. "Man, you're still on that subject." The maid giggled. "Of course I am, especially with you blushing like that. Jeez, you guys blush a lot." Melissa started to walk inside the castle and turned to face the couple. "I'll be looking after you two from now on. Just letting you know." She then disappeared in the building. That left the vampire prince and the human princess alone. He chuckled a bit first. "She can really be a handful at times. But I gotta admit: she really is the motherly type. At least one that acts like she's still in high school."

Alaina shot Justin a grin due to hearing his tease. She turned to see Melissa was beside her and smiled. From her blabbing she didn't notice. Upon hearing Justin she eagerly nodded. Melissa was a nice, reliable person that seemed fun as well. She listened as Melissa playfully teased or joked with Justin. The noticeable blushing on his face caused her to blush fairly noticeable as well. Afterwards, the young maid headed inside the castle. Alaina waved briefly. She couldn't help but smile from Melissa's words. She was actually a very kind,caring person. She moved her full attention on Justin and giggled softly from his words. "Yeah, you're right about that." Her words were followed by even more giggles.

Justin looked at Alaina through the corner of his eye and smiled. She seems to like it in the vampire kingdom a lot more now. He then remembered something. He turned towards the princess and kissed her. After this, he smiled at her. "You told me that you wished for a welcome back kiss," he said as he took a strand of her hair in his hands. "There you go." He gazed into her eyes lovingly for a moment. I want to be with you. I don't care about what others say. I just wish we could always be side by side. He then heard a faint noise from the castle. He turned and found Melissa trying to hide her figure behind one of the doors. "Melissa! What are you doing?" the prince asked the maid. She giggled and responded,

"I'm sorry, but you two just look so cute together! I had to stay and watch a bit more." Justin turned to Alaina and then back to Melissa. "So you knew about this?" She shrug her shoulders and happily said, "I figured it out."

Alaina was surprised,again by the kiss that Justin planted on her lips. However, like earlier she enjoyed it. After, he departed his words caused her to regain the remembrance of her request. She had actually forgotten about that until now. Alaina, lovingly, stared at him while a sweet smile crossed her face and she nodded.
Before any words could leave her mouth, she heard a low nose. With a low gulp, she turned to see Melissa's figure. Instantly, her face brightened. Her blushing only increased from hearing the young maid.

In Shiori's tight clutches was a letter. Her violet eyes scanned every word until the end then would return to the very first word,reading it over. This was really from worry, panick. Often her eyes would stray from the urgent or demanding letter to peer at around her. While, quickly hurrying down the halls the clicking of her heels could be heard echoing throughout the castle. Once again, she read these words with a shiver, 'We need to speak with the eldest prince, Justin Claymoore, and right now.' Shiori wondered why the nobles had to urgently speak with Justin. Like many times her eyes drifted from the note, but this time she saw the young maid, Melissa. Well, if she recalled correctly that was the maid's name. The maid was standing by the doors talking. Shiori listened carefully to the voices. One she recognized as Justin's. Her pace quickened and soon she made her way pass Melissa and outside the castle. Shirori ignored the human girl and gave her full attention to her son. "Justin, hun, here's a letter from the nobles. " After saying that she handed him the letter. "The nobles are wanting to speak with you immediatly. Though, they didn't list why." Softly, Shiori spoke.

Justin's happiness turned into confusion when his mother came out to him. Melissa was also surprised by the queen's sudden appearance. What's she doing out here? She held a letter in her hands and gave it to him. He listened to Shiori, and worry had overcome him. He quickly scanned the letter in his hands, trying to believe that this was a joke. But the words were from the Nobles themselves, and even their ancient symbol was shown on the paper. Why would they want to see me this very second? He glanced towards Alaina then back to Shiori. "I'm guessing they would wish for you to come too, since you are the current ruler." His gaze moved to the ground for a second. He then turned to face the town and took a deep breath. "Let's go. We can't keep them waiting for long," the prince said. His face was dark, no trace of emotion showed. With the letter gripped in his clenched palm, the vampire waited for his mother to start walking with him.

Shiori could see the confusion visibly displayed on his face. This was very sudden. She herself was still very confused and nervous, but contained her emotions. Her stare on him remained gentle and so did her words. "Of course, I have to. " Glancing at her son she saw his expression didn't show any emotion no longer. She would have atleast thought there would be some sign of nervousness. Not that she wanted him to be all jittery. Though, she always knew Justin had a very unique strength. "Yeah, let's not waste anymore time." Shiori lowly spoke with a heavy sigh ending her sentence. After, moving her gaze toward the village as well she started walking.

Alaina was completely overwelmed in confusion after seeing Shiori, the queen and hearing the word spoken by the queen. Her ruby eyes widened. What do the nobles want? She wanted to ask that very thought allowed. But knew she couldn't. She kept her mouth shut and just watched the two. Now, they were heading to the nobles. Her gaze lowered to the ground and still she remained silent.

Justin walked alongside his mother as they headed towards the village. He turned his head back to the princess and smiled. It was a weak smile, but he wanted to assure Alaina that she shouldn't worry about him. He then put his attention to the path ahead. They approached the village, and the people had already started to stare at them. It's not every day that royals walk through the town like this. He payed no attention to them as the pair passed. After a few minutes, the vampires reached their destination. It was a large building in the far corner of town, almost as tall as the castle. The prince strode up to the gigantic doors and stopped. He took a deep breath before opening the doors to the inside. Inside, the space was enormous, with grand staircases and long, dark hallways leading to many places. The vampire prince looked around for a moment, trying to find any sign of life. Suddenly, an older looking vampire came up to the pair and bowed to them. "Welcome, Queen Shiori and eldest prince Justin," he spoke in a deep voice. "The Nobles are expecting you. Please follow me." Justin simply nodded his head before walking behind the man.
