Tenchi Misaki1
All i remeber was thery violent anime like cyber city oedo, thwe old bio booster guyver, and the dominion tank police and shadowskil were the animes i remember as a kid
*Hats off to Tenchi for listing all of those*
Those are some serious old-school, grungy 80s anime right there - very nice.

Well I didn't watch much Anime besides Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Ronin Warriors, until Freshmen or Sophmore year in High School. Possibly late Middle School.

Sounds like Rei-kakka started by watching CN Toonami back in the day...
^^

I actually first saw Sailor Moon on regular network TV back in '95, so when Toonami aired it, I was feeling nostalgic.
XD

The funny thing about those old 80s anime is that nobody here actually *watched* them in the 80's, 'cause anime really wasn't available outside of a few hard-to-find VHS tapes at the rental stores...
^^"

Seen that one in '99 or 2000. The first Anime I remember watching was Sailor Moon on NBC before I went to school every morning and Armitage III back in '95.

Pffft. No, no I didn't. I watched some of those shows on non-cable channels. Actually what got me into Anime was a special on Sci-Fi about them. Like Fatal Fury The Movie, that was pretty awesomely crazy. He defeats the God of War!! O.O

Well it was more of the ending where Terry Bogard, a mere mortal defeats Aries with his super powered armor. I mean that's just CRAZYNESS <.<;

In terms of Anime in general it's not all that shocking or anything. Not like Fooly Cooly or Excel Saga.

Fooly Cooly was horrible, and it made no sense either...
