((I'm terribly tired so this is rushed and not very good...I'm so eager about this whole nobles situation! )) Shiori walked through the town, ignoring the stares of others and keeping her gaze forward. Though, she would throw a quick glance at Justin every few seconds. Minutes later, both the vampires arrived at their destination, which was a large building. She quickened her pace, hurrying to the doors. Shiori, like her son took a deep breath after he opened the doors. The queen's eyes immediately got to searching the huge space trying to find someone. Then, suddenly, an older man came, bow, and greeted them. Again, she seemed to imitate her soon by nodding and following the man's lead.
Alaina’s stare happened to drift away from the ground and to the prince. He was looking back at her with a smile shown on his face. It was an ‘It’s okay’ or ‘Don’t worry’ smile. He was trying to assure her everything was fine. However, it didn’t ease her worried thoughts. The nobles did sound scary in Melissa’s explanation. There was also the fact that she had no idea what was wrong. Plus, it had to be serious, right? The princess looked up after sighing. “I think I’m going to head to my room”, she told her. Then, slowly she walked inside the castle.

They fear me, they hate me, they stay away... Melissa watched the whole situation from the doorway. I didn't think that the Nobles were going to ask for him now. And it sounds urgent. She watched as the prince and queen just took off after examining the letter. Alaina walked into the castle, saying that she was going to her room. "I'll be happy to escort you," she told her. The maid followed her to make sure that the princess was going to be okay.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The eldest vampire prince followed the man down a couple of long hallways and even a large staircase. He kept his eyes forward and his face showed no emotion. Soon, the group had reached a large pair of dark double doors. Engraved on the front was the ancient symbol of the vampire Nobles. It was the same one as the one on the letter. The prince merely stared at the doors. "The Nobles await," the man told them. He bowed and pointed out to go inside. Justin stood for a moment, and then slowly opened the heavy doors. He allowed Shiori to enter first and then let himself in. The man closed the doors behind them. The prince walked into the center of the room and looked towards an upper wall. There sat the legendary Nobles. Many of them were elderly, although a few were about in their thirties. There were both men and women staring at the royals as they walked in. "Welcome Shiori, queen of the vampire kingdom," an elderly man in the middle of the group said. "It is so nice to see you again." He then turned his attention to the teenage vampire. "Justin Claymoore, eldest prince of Queen Shiori and next in line for the throne," the man said. The prince knelt and bowed to them after he was announced. "You kept us waiting." ...Am I really the monster they say?

Shiori followed behind the older man, silently. After, walking through some halls and up a staircase, they arrived at the door with an ancient engraved symbol belonging to the nobles. The queen started to ponder, while keeping her stare toward the door. But her thoughts were mentally pushed aside, due to hearing the older vampire. She simply nodded, then walked to the center of the room. Now, her gaze was fixed on the upper wall. That was where the nobles were. “It is nice to see all of you as well.” She said keeping calm. The noble’s last sentence made her reply apologetically, “And we are terribly sorry for that.”
Alaina’s pace was rather slow so she didn’t make it far. Actually, she had only made it a few steps inside the castle when she heard Melissa. She glanced over her shoulder to see the maid following her. The princess flashed her a smile before softly saying, “Sure and thanks.”

They fear me, they hate me, they stay away...
Justin stood again and simply stared at the Nobles. "So, why did you send for me?" he asked holding the letter in his hands. "You really are one to get to the point," said a younger woman. "Anyway," spoke the elderly man, "we have called you here for an important reason. It has been only a week after that current war, and yet the humans have been peculiarly silent, especially the king." "What do you expect from us taking away the heirs to their kingdom?" the prince asked. "Do not interrupt him! You may be the next king, but to me it seems like you also need to learn of some respect!" said an older vampire man. Justin stared at him with no expression and simply bowed his head. "Easy now," the elder said. "Furthermore, we also believe that the human king might be planning some kind of attack against us." If only you really knew. He didn't wish to say anything, for he would have admitted that he had entered the human kingdom. "We brought you here because we agreed that you need experience in becoming a vampire ruler. As the future ruler, we wish for you give him a peace offering from the vampires." The prince stood confused and tried to figure out what they were telling him. "Excuse me, but I do not understand," replied the prince. "You want to me to give the king what?" "A peace offering. Something that would attempt to ease the tension between our different species." "And may I ask what exactly we should bribe him with?" The eldest Noble smirked as if the question was funny. "Perhaps the only thing that is of possible worth to the king: an heir. We want you to take the eldest human princess back to her kingdom."...Am I really the monster they say?

The nobles were right. The humans and the king were all very quiet. Too quiet! They probably had some plan. The king wouldn't surrender so easily. Well, that is unless he had some plot in mind. Shiori still listened to the conversation, continuing to keep herself unusually quiet. Though, she wasn't going to interrupt. However, when she agreed, she would nod briefly. Soon, the urgent matter was revealed. They, well Justin had to take a Heir back to the human kingdom. Atleast, now, since there was a bribe they wouldn't have to worry of some secret attack. There would still be five humans. That was enough. Actually, that was still plenty. Shiori moved her violet stare to her son. "No problem, right? After all there will still be five. That's plenty...And less than six. Plus, this will show the great ruler you'll be to everyone." She told Justin, smirking.
((Wow, that's a brilliant idea!!))

They fear me, they hate me, they stay away...
Justin's gaze fell to the floor, for he didn't want the others to see his dilated eyes. They want me to give back Alaina. That does sound like it could work, but... He heard his mother agreeing with the idea and it made him a bit angrier. However, he kept his calm as he looked back up at the Nobles. "Well, that is a definite possibility, but what about the princess?" The elder was now the one confused. "Excuse me?" "Shouldn't we let her decide where she wants to go?" The Nobles chuckled for a moment. "What are you talking about? The princess will have no say in the matter. She had been brought here against her will anyway. Who would want to stay here for that?" "A lot of things can happen in a week," the prince responded. "So you're saying that she enjoys it here?" "No, I'm merely saying that she should have the right to choose." The Nobles sat silent and looked at each other for a moment. "Prince Justin," the elder spoke, "are you defending the human?" The vampire prince stood silent for a moment and then said, "No, I'm trying to be fair to her." The elder stared at the prince. "Out of the question. You will take her back." The prince couldn't take it anymore. "So we're just gonna treat her like a piece of territory?!" the prince practically shouted. "We don't want it anymore, so we're just gonna give it back?!" "My, my, we haven't seen you talk like this before," said the young woman. "You sound almost like a human." The prince glared at her. "Look at ourselves for a moment. We're just humans with fangs!" The older man from before jumped from where he stood to the center and walked towards Justin. Before the prince had time to react, he was held above the ground by his shirt. Many of the Nobles rose from their seats in shock. "You believe we are like those weaklings?" he shouted to him. Justin wanted to respond, but the grip tightened the area of shirt around his neck, making it harder to breathe. "We are stronger than them. We are faster than them. We could have wiped out their population by now! And yet you think that we are similar?" The prince glared at him. The Noble dropped the prince to the ground. Justin fell on his knees and his breathing quickened, trying to regain air. "You will return her to her kingdom," the vampire man commanded him, "or you will always be a failure as a ruler."...Am I really the monster they say? (Thank you! Thank you! A look of confusion was noticeable on Shiori's face. She thought Justin would easily accept. However, he didn't. Her son's response was very different than she thought it would be. What about the human princess? What the hell is he saying? She continued to listen as Justin spoke to the nobles, only growing my confused by her son's behavior. Justin's tone even rose. He was practically shouting. The queen's jaw dropped in shock. So he's defending the human girl? He's shouting at the nobles...What is wrong with my son? Shiori was simply speechless from Justin's words. Then, he even said something about vampires being humans with fangs. By now the queen was absolutely stunned by her son. Who and what has corrupted my son?Shiori wanted to ask her son that very question that just crossed her mind. But she didn't. She moved her attention to the nobles and they didn't appear happy with Justin's words. Not one bit. One of the elders even jumped from the wall to the center. The queen's violet eyes widened as she watched the upset elder. He was gripping Justin by his shirt and even yelling. Soon though, the elder let go of Justin's shirt and he fell to his knees. Shiori was practically trembling. She was also breathing heavy like her son. Though, this was all from shock, fear, and worry. Quickly, she dropped on her knees too then slipped a finger under his chin. "Justin, I don't want you to fail as a ruler. I know that you would make an excellent one. If this is truly about fairness then returning that girl to her home is best for everyone." She softly spoke but added in a hushed tone, "Have you grown attached to that human girl?"
((Yeah an applause! But let's give a really loud applause to dreamingweirdo75 for the whole idea *Clap Clap Clap*))

They fear me, they hate me, they stay away...
Justin caught his breath again and stared at the Nobles. A failure...that's what I'll be...? His gaze landed on Shiori as she talked to him. Her final words made his eyes drop to the ground. If I don't do as the Nobles tell me, then my mother might also have to carry the burden of having me as a failing ruler. But what I said was true. Alaina should have the right to choose where to go. However... Justin's mouth formed a smirk. All of a sudden, he started laughing. The Nobles turned to face him, wondering what all was going on. "Man, what the hell was I thinking?" the prince said with a smile on his face. "What better thing to do for her than to give her back? She's a human, after all. Those humans can't possibly survive out here with those naive minds of theirs." He stood and put his attention to the Nobles with a grin. "I'll give her back, no problem. It'll be one less thing to worry about here anyway. I'll tell ya, those girls can really get on my nerves." The elder smiled at the young vampire. "Very well. We will send a couple of guards to the castle at dawn to assist you on your journey. I have also heard about your powers of shadow traveling. It will make the trip take less time don't you think?" The prince nodded his head. "Alright, now go back and prepare the princess." Justin bowed before them. "As you wish." He then stood and turned around. "Let's go Mother," he said as he started to exit the room. He strode to the doors and paused for a moment. The smile he wore disappeared. It looks like I've convinced them. He opened the doors and walked out. I'm sorry Alaina.

After hearing Justin's words Shiori let out a deep, heavy sigh of relief. Justin was no longer refusing and this meant that he wouldn't fail as a ruler. Thank goodness. She though while rising to her normal height of 5'8. Her eyes wandered to the elder as he spoke again. This time he wore a smile. Which was good. When the elderly finished talking, Justin turned and hearing him she replied with a low,"Okay." The queen put on a smile as she stared at the nobles while saying,"Like I said it was nice seeing you all again." She then turned around and followed her soon toward the doors. Though, she noticed the smile on his face vanish. When they both left from the room ; Shiori turned to Justin with a concerned expression. "Are you okay?" She asked. (( I have to go for a bit...))

Justin heard his mother and smiled at her. "I'm just wondering how to break this to her. Although, she might be screaming with joy. I'm probably going to need some medication after she's done with that," replied the prince. He made sure that he walked ahead of Shiori. He wanted to get to the castle as soon as possible. His eyes had at least a trace of sadness in them. I couldn't go against the Nobles anyway. My mother was so proud of me. I guess this is what happens when you become a ruler. You have put others before yourself, even if it hurts you. He put his hand to his neck and found that there were marks from when the shirt tightened around his neck. He flinched when his hand brushed over the area. Pain came to him from just touching it. The rest of the way home, the prince walked in silence. When he arrived at the castle, he turned to Shiori. "I'll go tell the princess. I also have to prepare for the journey, so don't worry about me. The dawn will be coming soon, so I must hurry." With that, Justin strode inside the castle and wandered, trying to find the princess.

Shiori laughed lowly and briefly at her son's words. "Yeah, probably so." She responded. While walking behind Justin she thought of everything that took place in the room with the elders. The queen was so confused and worried. But now she felt so much better since he accepted. During the whole entire walk that's all she thought of. Well, until they both arrived at the castle. The silence of Justin's was no longer when he spoke. Shiori nodded. "Okay, bye, she says, briefly waving. She also walked inside the castle but headed toward her room. Alaina made it to her room a while ago and ever since was trying to find ways to keep herself busy and worry-free. She had took a warm shower, changed in a knee legnth night gown her sibling Lenah, had made her only two or three weeks ago,of brushed her long hair and brushed her teeth. Alaina was now staring out her small window at the land.

Justin's steps were slow as he walked through the building. Dread and agony filled him. He felt that he was on the verge of tears. How can I tell her this? He then heard footsteps coming his way. He looked up to see Melissa walking down the hallway. He formed a weak smile as he went up to her. The maid smiled with joy as he approached. But then it faded when she caught sight of the prince's neck. "What happened?" she asked him, concerned. The prince didn't answer but instead looked seriously at the maid. "Where's Alaina?" he asked her with sadness in his voice. "It's urgent." Seeing that she wouldn't get an answer to her question, Melissa pointed down the hall. "She's in her room," she replied. The vampire nodded his head before moving on. The maid gazed at him with a sad look before walking away. Soon, he came to the princess's room. He took a deep breath before knocking. He then opened the door and found Alaina staring out the window. He smiled weakly at her too. "I'm back."

Alaina had no idea that Justin had made it back yet. So, while staring out the window at the dark sky she wondered where he was now and worried still. There was a knocking at the door. Though, she almost didn't hear it due to being absorbed in to her own thoughts. When the door creaked open, she turned. Upon seeing the person standing in the doorway her eyes lit up and her expression. "Justin! You're back!" But her happiness and her smile faded sighting his weak smile. "W-What's wrong?" Lowly, the princess questioned. In a way she didn't want to know. She knew the answer would be something awful or sad. But she had to know.

Justin wanted Alaina to be happy, but then he saw her smile disappear. Man, I don't know how to tell her. He went up to her and gazed into her eyes. The sadness still showed in his dark eyes. He lowered his head, making his hair cover his eyes. "I-I'm sorry," he whispered to her. "The Nobles...ordered me to take you back to your kingdom." His eyes closed tight at his words. He could feel moisture building, but he didn't want to cry in front of the princess. "They are sending me and two other vampires to bring you back to your father," he told her, his voice shaking a bit. "But you know...this means you can live in the human kingdom again. You won't have to worry about all the vampires surrounding you. You don't have to be afraid of them hurting you anymore." He tried to make it sound better for her, but the truth was that every word hurt him more and more. I've heard of people dying from heartbreak. Maybe this is the start. But he knew that he had to do this, even if it meant losing his love. But what will I do from there?

Alaina stared deeply in to his dark eyes. They revealed sadness. It made her more worried and sad. However, her fixed gaze ended when Justin lowered his head. His whispered apology made her heart begin to pound. What happened between him and the nobles? The question that chanted in her mind was soon answered by Justin. Alaina's eyes started to appear watery, on the verge of tears. She was hoping that any moment he was say 'Just kidding' or 'Sike'. That wasn't going to happen, though. Justin would never make up such a horrible. Also, his sadness was true. Right then she was feeling the worst amount of pain ever. It felt as if her heart was ripped from her own chest. The princess buried her face in her hands, and then began pouring to tears.Justin and I we were supposed to be together. Side by side forever more. “No. Justin. No. I want don’t want to separate.” She spoke, her voice muffled. Her wet hands dropped to her side. “Justin, I don’t care whether I’m surrounded by vampires. I’m not scared anymore. I just want to be with you. I-I.” Before Alaina could finish her words she started to break down, crying a river of tears. She hung her head as she cried. The princess was so overwhelmed in sadness that she hardly felt as if she could stand.
